Debut EP "1:11"

"The number 111 supposedly signifies the start of good things, that you’re on the right path, and I liked the idea that if you start noticing it everywhere - as I did last year - it’s a sign that you want these things for yourself and you should work to make them happen. At the same time, the early hours, 1:11am, is where everything is still and quiet, but often these times are when I’m most creative. It’s like the primordial void! That’s really how I’ve come to feel about lockdown, and those feelings were really directly channeled into the EP.”

Welsh singer-songwriter Honey B McKenna is delighted to introduce her debut EP. The self written and produced EP takes influences from 80s synthpop and New Wave, to classic disco and house.

Currently based in Herefordshire, Honey began producing music during lockdown in 2020, and has previously released official remixes for UK acts Cheribaby, JXE and Thomas Murphy Young, as well as German pop singer ANI, and has an upcoming collaboration with Australian band 'The Safety Word'. Her remix of "Enough" by Thomas Murphy Young was recently featured on BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester.

As a DJ she has played at The Moon in Cardiff, Dogstar Brixton, and is currently a resident and guest DJ for several online stations, where she specialises most often in nudisco and house music.

After graduating from Cardiff University, Honey studied Musical Theatre at the Associated Studios London.

“I just love music in whatever form I can channel it - I’m equally as inspired by the music I play DJing as the musical theatre tracks I have in my “rep folder”."
