Depuis petit, Djoban a toujours été attiré par la musique. Aujourd’hui, c’est tout naturellement avec fierté et dévouement qu’il embrasse cette passion.

Après avoir proposé son premier EP « Cortex » en juillet dernier, l’artiste guadeloupéen dévoile le clip « Chute Libre ». Dans ce titre émouvant, Djoban raconte une peine de coeur et exprime avec sincérité ses sentiments pour celle qui l’a abandonné.

, de son vrai nom DINO Yohann, est né le 07 Décembre 1991 (29 ans) en Guadeloupe. Sa familleest originaire des villes du Gosier et de Sainte-anne. Enfant, il effectuesa scolarité à l’école Armand Lazard, puis la poursuit au collège Edmond Bambuck du Gosier, pour achever son secondaire au LGT de Baimbridge, où il obtiendra un Bac ES en 2009. S’en suit un Cursus de 2 ans à l’UAG qu’il ne terminera pas, puisqu’il se reconvertit vers le monde des finances, et obtient son BTS Banque et sa licence Banque dans la foulée.

Yohann adore l’adrénaline, est un grand fan d’automobile, de musique, de voyages et de motocross (cette dernière qu’il qualifie de passion dévorantemais risquée). D’ailleurs en 2017, il est victime d’une chute à Motocross, où il se cassera la jambe droite,et restera alité pendant environ 5 à 6 mois. Il n’arrêtera pas la motocross pour autant… Il est également un inconditionnel du Gwo Ka, qu’il affectionne particulièrement depuis sa tendre enfance. Il en fait réellement une activité en 2012 et parvient à maitriser les 7 rythmes principaux.

Intéressé par la musique depuis son plus jeune âge, il déclare avoir eu très fréquemment des envies de chanter, se voyait même chanteur, mais n’osait pas franchir le pas. Ce n’est qu’en 2019, lors d’un voyage à Paris, qu’un de ses frères de cœur lui fait découvrir le Home studio, et le monde de la musique à proprement parler. Ce dernier l’incite à chanter, le mettant à l’aise en le rassurant. Hésitant au début,

Djoban

accepte. Son ami balance une prod, Djoban écrit facilement son texte et passe à l’enregistrement. Et là, il dira qu’une nouvelle passionest née. Il n’a plus jamais arrêté d’écrire depuis ce jour.

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 27th, 2022) – Today, Santa Monica based indie pop duo Only Bricks released their all new single and accompanying music video entitled “Smile, It’s Over :)”, marking vocalist Anne DiGiovanni’s last day at her full time job and legal career.

“ ‘Smile, It’s Over :)’ ” is our swan song for everyone who’s ever raged against corporate America,” Anne says. “It was written to honor this transition of mine, to give voice to that inner celebration we all do, no matter how much we’ll miss the people or places or projects we inevitably say farewell to.”

Guitarist Joseph Lewczak further adds, “This song was such a fun collaboration with our friends Kayleigh (Torok) and Clifton (Jennings). We wanted to flip the niceties of the standard work goodbye email on their head and say what everyone really wants to say but never does.”

The music video is a vibrant collage of scenes featuring the duo, with Anne transforming into a mermaid who is living it up in a “pity pool” of her former co-workers’ platitudes, finally having found her own voice.

“It was pure joy to be surrounded by bright colors, wearing fun wigs, jumping around to our song, after over twelve years of stifling office culture,” Anne says of the video shoot, produced by Jaclyn Amor. “This visual represents my artistic, creative side breaking through at long last.”

Only Bricks released five singles in 2021, including a single and video for their song “Big Girl Shoes”, which received tremendous praise, garnering media attention in Earmilk, Popwrapped, 1stDayFresh, among many others. Earmilk called the song “[an] intense . . . bubbly track” and the video “fun yet impactful.” 1st Day Fresh found it to be “an empowering and inspiring message on the fight for women’s equality wrapped up in [the duo’s] signature upbeat, playful, and clever pop style” while the video, directed and produced by an all female and non-binary crew delivered “shimmering visuals.”

J’étais vraiment affecté par le Brexit et je voulais faire une déclaration en créant un disque européen », explique-t-il. « Nous sommes un groupe européen, nous avons pratiquement vécu là-bas et nous avons tellement d’amour pour l’Europe, donc nous voulions garder ce lien. » Berlin est depuis longtemps un haut lieu créatif pour les artistes du monde entier, ce qui a permis à Luke de rencontrer les collaborateurs avec lesquels il allait travailler sur le mastodonte qu’est leur sixième album,

No two ways about it: Italian-born Alessandra Boldrini’s calling has always involved music. Starry-eyed and ready to turn dreams into reality, she packed her bags and headed to the UK in 2016 to pursue a degree at BIMM Institute. Since then, she’s gone on to amass over half a million streams across her tracks and positioned herself as one of Pop’s most exciting rising stars.

Inspired by the likes of Dua Lipa, Nono, Mabel, and Clean Bandit, Boldrini’s EDM-meets-Pop sound pivots around her enchanting yet confident vocal palette that oozes with charisma. Showcasing a vocal maturity way beyond her years, Boldrini’s lyricism explores the human mind, often subconsciously writing songs from the perspective of others. Hailing from the small Italian village of Fabriano, Boldrini’s lofty musical ambitions left her feeling like a big fish in a small pond. Detailing the hurt of holding yourself accountable for the fault of others, and the fallout and frustration that’s triggered by gaslighting, Boldrini admits, “I was in a relationship a few years back, and towards the end, I found myself giving and giving and giving and for what? Nothing, as the other person couldn’t even bother to try and make things better.”

For Boldrini, music is more than simply structured noise; it’s also therapy, a vessel that supplies her with a consistent stream of confidence and motivation to fuel her determination to succeed, which is clearly evident in this new track. The singer’s pop influences shine through in the catchy up-beat melody, bursting with a feel-good and intoxicating energy, creating a meaningful contrast to the somewhat dustier lyrics.
