, Rayman sonically nods back to the nocturnal R&B of his early work. The 13-track album focuses on the musician’s career to date; being signed and dropped, to the feeling of not being “the right guy for the job” and the struggle of finding positivity in all this negative space. Touching on maturity and the revelations that come with it, Rayman becomes unstuck in time and is shown his life and what’s to come of it if he continues to let Mr. Roadhouse have full control. It ultimately leads to depression and unfortunately death.

ROADHOUSE 02

is Rayman being shown his options and having to make the decision on where he wants his life to go.

The first single to be released off of the album, is “Rider.” With the artist now being able to view life in its entirety from beginning to end, he sees how he can avoid going down a different road, so death doesn’t come for him. It allows him to become unstuck in time and move around the moments of his life as if he were visiting a zoo. “Rider” glows with raw, gravelly vocals and chronicles of spoken word which wash over the punchy drums and echoing, minimalist backdrop.

Rayman shares, “Together the songs and video tell a story of an artist who creates an alter ego to handle success in the music industry and what happens when you lose yourself in that character. Ultimately the album is by an artist for an artist. It shines light on the negatives that come with this career choice. With an underlying theme that our shortcomings as artists are our strength; makes for good music – real music.” Slated for release March 18th,

Née à Londres, Manon Vuoko, d’origine martiniquaise et finlandaise, a grandi en France. La jeune artiste de 22 ans suit les Cours Florent à Paris et se consacre, en parallèle, à son projet musical.

Le déclic se fait après des voyages en Angleterre et trois mois à Los Angeles, où elle travaille avec un producer qui la pousse à écrire en français. Manon se rend alors compte qu’elle utilisait l’anglais pour se cacher derrière ses mots. C’est à ce moment-ci qu’elle se découvre musicalement et développe une identité artistique forte, entre tradition de la chanson française et beats urbains, inspirée à la fois par des icônes pop actuelles (Angèle, Aya Nakamura) et celles d’une autre décennie (Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour).

Dès son retour en France, Manon Vuoko rencontre le label OHM Publishing et le producer Thierry Gronfier. Instantanément, les chansons prennent forme avec une simplicité et une fluidité déconcertante. Ils préparent alors ensemble son premier EP, prévu pour 2022.

Dans ce premier opus, elle transforme histoires et peines de cœur en une force et une authenticité propre à sa génération qui se reconnaîtra dans ses textes, comme dans son single «J’me sens pas belle».

Sans se soucier du regard des autres et avec le besoin de clamer haut et fort qui on est, d’exprimer et de revendiquer sa liberté, Manon porte la voix de sa génération à travers ses textes. Une génération pour laquelle il n’est pas question de s’assurer une sécurité au sein de notre société mais de s’y sentir épanoui-es.

Soudain Les Oiseaux, nouvel album de Vanessa Philippe, est un hommage à sa grande sœur disparue en août 2019. Auteure, compositrice et interprète, Vanessa écrit et compose pour la première fois la totalité des chansons. En contraste avec le sentiment de deuil, elle imagine des arrangements très pop, à tendance électro avec des instruments virtuels. Elle confie alors la réalisation à Pascal Parisot, en continuité avec l’album précédent, et le mixage à Angy Laperdrix (Mocke, Barbara Carlotti…).

Également danseuse, chorégraphe et vidéaste, Vanessa Philippe se met en scène avec un poisson rouge pour développer son univers dans une série de clips et réalise ainsi une trilogie pour ses trois premiers singles, “Suivre le Soleil“, “Les Maux“ et “Soudain les Oiseaux“.

A mi-chemin entre rêve et réalité, en 12 titres, Vanessa gravite dans un monde parallèle où elle décrit ses sentiments. Toujours sur fond métaphorique, ses textes sont poétiques et mélancoliques, en contraste avec les instruments choisis, reflets de la joie de vivre de sa sœur.

Comme pour supporter cette absence intolérable, elle s’accroche à une bulle intergalactique jusqu’à apercevoir “Soudain les Oiseaux“. L’album se termine avec la chanson “Paradise“, tel un retour à la réalité, l’apaisement malgré tout.

Title track « Pulse » glistens with reflective remnants of the conditional love received in an abusive relationship. Written and produced from the comfort of her bedroom, Sabriel found herself in an intimate and intense experience of deep nostalgia; channeling her feelings through the creation of “Pulse.” Exuding a tropical, amorous heaven of birdsong, doused in calming electro keys and shimmering chimes, the track is described as her “favourite song off the upcoming EP”, beautifully reflecting the amassed amount of life lessons and healing from the past year.

The second single off the six track offering is the haunting, atmospheric « Yellow ». The animated melodies playfully come to life, weaving in and out of Sabriel’s soulful timbre, while otherworldly synths represent the songwriter exploring uncharted waters. Sabriel speaks about being free to follow your true path and not letting anyone hold you back.

Showcasing a more fiery part of herself in the concise and fervent “SFA”, to the nature soaked soundscape of “Synch”, this EP is an amalgamation of emotion, exploring and untangling her enigmatic soul.

n’est encore qu’un enfant lorsqu’il découvre le jeu de jambes d’Elvis Presley à la télévision. Il y voit une vérité.

Foudroyé par un désir de scène qu’il ne pourra jamais taire, le voilà catapulté dans le monde de la musique, imitant d’abord le King avec un balai en guise d’instrument.

Puis dans les années 80 en pleine effervescence de la nouvelle scène « alternative », il joue dès qu’il le peut avec son groupe de rockabilly (The Wanderers) aux côtés d’autres formations, comme la Mano Negra, Wampas…

Après plusieurs années passées dans une école d’art à Londres, dans les années 90, l’homme touche-à-tout tord le carton et participe à la conception des décors pour l’émission tv jeunesse les Minikeums, il chante sur son projet personnel Sportès et enregistre un album chez Eric Serra avant de découvrir les possibilités qu’offre la musique sur ordinateur. Il se lance alors distraitement dans

un nouveau duo électro intitulé Sporto Kantès

qui siffle encore aujourd’hui aux oreilles du plus grand nombre. Succès. L’aventure aux côtés de Nicolas Kantorowicz, bassiste des Wampas, durera quinze ans et quatre albums. En 2013, il tourne la page pour une période empreinte de questionnements sur l’avenir. Il en ressort un rejet total et momentané de la musique et une profusion de dessins crayonnés, griffonnés, noirs, caustiques, poétiques…

En 2016, c’est la musique qui reprend le dessus lorsqu’il se décide à présenter son nouveau projet solo intitulé

Futuro Pelo

(les futurs cheveux pour un homme qui n’en a plus). Les équipes de Pain Surprises et Délicieuse Musique accueillent avec enthousiasme ce joyeux mélange de pop, de textes chantés en français, anglais, espagnol, et de samples trouvés par d’heureux hasards dans les sons de sa collection personnelle qui navigue entre tous les extrêmes (rockabilly, world, funk, pop moderne, house…). Futuro Pelo compile sa science de la pop et ses trouvailles dans deux EP successifs sortis en 2017 (Bluff) et 2018 (Eden). La naissance de Futuro Pelo s’accompagne de celle de Monsieur Bouche présent sur les pochettes et les clips. Monsieur Bouche est l’ami imaginaire de Benjamin Sportès, sa façon d’exprimer en dessin ce qu’il n’arrive pas à dire à l’oral.

Début 2020 sort le premier album, A BIGGER SPLASH, en clin d’oeil à David Hockney

et allégorie au grand saut du premier album. Avec ce titre, Benjamin Sportès matérialise aussi un saut dans le vide, le besoin de « dire » les choses, de moins faire diversion et d’être au plus près des émotions.

« We knew that we wanted to bring out the fun aspect of this song and accentuate how everyone involved is a character in their own right. We linked up with Bird Peterson, who’s an incredible animator. On the first call with Bird we thought the process was going to be really collaborative and that we were going to have all these great ideas to feed him to do his thing with. Instead, he basically said, « this is the treatment » and proceeded to describe this whole 60’s style cereal commercial world he had created in his head that involved Juicy J leading children (us) into mischief. After dying of laughter, we all just said « ya go do that, » and this is what came out. We’re very happy to have found Bird and his insane talents. »

Comme-ci comme-ça est le deuxième single de l’artiste pluridisciplinaire Charlie Faron. Toujours réalisé par Pierrick Devin (Lomepal, Clara Luciani…) le titre évoque ces journées où rien ne fonctionne, ces dimanches de repos où tout tourne en rond dans le cerveau, rien n’est constructif. Il va sans dire que ce morceau a été écrit un dimanche, pour partager ce sentiment et rendre l’improductivité féconde.

À tout juste 24 ans, Charlie, auteur,compositeur,interprète, entrepreneur et DA auto-didacte s’attelle à de nouvelles ambitions : jouer de ses textes en français.

Lui qui a passé son enfance aux Etats-Unis, parlé anglais avant le français, le défi n’était pas des moindres. Des premières démos dans la langue de Shakespeare en passant par le projet électro pop 228k dont il est également la tête pensante, Charlie s’est libéré de ses contraintes.

Décomplexé grace aux preuves artistiques réalisées au travers de sa

marque Encré., il se sent aujourd’hui légitime de revendiquer ses émotions, tant romantiques que crues, dans un phrasé qui lui est cher.
