Pinkfiz explains, “The story behind this song is about putting myself first, and instead of being the victim to people, I am giving myself the power to become their “villain”. Les Nova Twins est un groupe que notre monde attendait, ancré dans leur époque. Qu’il s’agisse de pousser les MOBO Awards à créer une catégorie pour les groupes de musique alternative, de s’associer avec « No Music On A Dead Planet » et Oxfam pour lutter contre le réchauffement climatique ou encore de collaborer avec Dr Martens pour collecter des fonds pour The Black Curriculum et inspirer une nouvelle vague de de jeunes talents divers, Amy Love et Georgia South sont bien plus que l’un des groupes plus excitants du Royaume-Uni. En effet, elles sont des actrices du changement. Formé à Londres en 2014, le duo s’est construit sur une amitié née pendant leur enfance. Le batteur Salah Khaïli a sorti cet hiver l’album Rock Da House, un disque de rock intemporel sur lequel brille son jeu batterie puissant et explosif.

Après avoir multiplié les sessions aux côtés d’artistes comme Etienne Daho, Tchéky Karyo, Lucky Peterson, Elli Medeiros et bien d’autres, Salah Khaïly a lancé son album sous son nom, enregistré avec la complicité du producteur Fred Lafage.

Après Trees In My Head et Rock That Shit, deux titres bourrés d’adrénaline, Salah Khaïli dévoile le clip de 1983, un titre sur lequel il évoque son adolescence, l’âge de la liberté, des découvertes et de tous les possibles.

Entre rock, RnB et French Touch, 1983 brouille les pistes et nous fait voyager dans le temps.

La sortie de l’album Rock Da House met en lumière le talent de Salah Khaïli, musicien aux multiples facettes : batteur, auteur, compositeur, interprète et producteur.

Né à Saintes, il s’installe à Paris en 1990 pour matérialiser ses aspirations artistiques. Dans un premier temps, ce batteur intégral expérimente un vaste spectre de styles qui va du jazz au blues en passant par la soul ou la world music.

On a pu le découvrir aux côtés d’artistes comme Etienne Daho, Elli Medeiros, Tchéky Karyo, Axel Bauer, Sapho, Lucky Peterson et bien d’autres.

Salah éprouve un attachement particulier pour le rock anglais d’hier et d’aujourd’hui dont on retrouve de multiples influences dans son album Rock Da House.

Son jeu de batterie unique et immédiatement reconnaissable et sa personnalité créative brillent tout au long de ce disque.

Diverses voix se relaient sur ses compositions aux rythmiques incisives et entêtantes. Enregistré en Europe et aux Etats-Unis, ce recueil musical est le produit de la convergence artistique du réalisateur Fred Lafage et des compositions de Salah Khaïli. Cet album marque une renaissance du rock français aux consonances internationales.

Growing up in Compton, California, Sir Will overcame a difficult childhood with his family members selling and abusing drugs and loved ones involved in gang activity. Chico César est de retour le 23 septembre 2022 avec son nouvel album Vestido de Amor, produit par Jean Lamoot (Bashung, Mano Negra…).

Vestido de Amor, le dixième album studio du brésilien Chico César, creuse le sujet du panafricanisme, du point de vue de la diaspora. Avec ce disque enregistré pour la première fois en dehors du Brésil, Chico César revient avec des chansons aux couleurs multiples, naviguant du forro nordestin au reggae jamaïcain, de la rumba zaïroise aux langueurs du calypso, du coco des pêcheurs côtiers aux électricités du rock urbain.

En 2022, dans ce village global qui est le nôtre et où la question de l’appropriation culturelle se pose avec acuité, il paraît évident que l’Afrique a alimenté tous les courants culturels. Ainsi, Chico César a-t-il invité deux grandes personnalités de la musique africaine à enrichir Vestido de Amor : Salif Keita et Ray Lema.

La sortie de l’album sera suivie d’une vaste tournée avec déjà une date parisienne annoncée le 14 octobre au Café de la Danse. On peut déjà découvrir le premier extrait Vestido de Amor.

Premier album de Chico César conçu en dehors du Brésil, Vestido de Amor dresse un constat franc et joueur d’un monde métis où danser est toujours possible, surtout quand, au travers de la joie, passent des messages, de paix, de fraternité, mais aussi de lutte, remettant au centre du jeu l’amour et la joie des Nordestins.

Produit par Jean Lamoot (Bashung, Salif Keita, Mano Negra), Vestido de Amor (habillé d’amour) a intégré la kora mandingue de Sekou Kouyaté, ou encore la basse percussive du Camerounais Etienne M’Bappé, et si l’amour est un acte révolutionnaire, la musique en fusion de Chico est un trait de grâce.

Homme du Monde, homme de combats, homme de lettres, tel est Chico César, farfadet au look singulier et à la créativité foisonnante de la musique brésilienne. Thomas Kahn présente son nouveau clip « More than Sunshine »

Thomas Kahn, qualifié de « petit prince de la soul moderne » par le magazine Rolling Stone, est de retour le 30 septembre avec son second album attendu sur le label Musique Sauvage.

Souvent comparé à des artistes comme Otis Redding, Charles Bradley ou Lee Fields, le musicien a enregistré dans les studios de Real World à Londres et à New York, un second disque porté par des chœurs vibrants et une incroyable section de cuivres.

Premier extrait, Thomas Kahn nous dévoile le single More Than Sunshine et son clip tourné à New York sur les rives de Jersey City.

More than Sunshine est un morceau solaire de bout en bout. Un lever de soleil sur Manhattan, une belle envolée vers les années 70. A travers ce morceau, Thomas Kahn nous chante un hymne au bonheur aux couleurs de la Mowtown. Grâce aux cuivres, choristes et la guitare twang, More than Sunshine nous emmène sur les routes américaines.

Immédiatement, on est happé par la voix unique de ce jeune chanteur auteur, compositeur et interprète qui nous fait voyager dans le temps à travers l’histoire de la soul intemporelle.

Thomas Kahn, chanteur à l’histoire personnelle chargée d’émotions fortes, est reconnu pour son timbre de voix unique et ses qualités d’interprète. Habité par la Soul, il retrouve dans cette musique les valeurs de transmission, de sensibilité, de chaleur et les contes de la vie ordinaire.

De 2013 à 2019, il enchaîne compositions, écriture et concerts. Il ouvre alors pour de brillants artistes à l’Olympia, la Cigale ou le Bataclan, salles fortes de sens dans son cheminement personnel. Sa voix rappelle quelques intonations épicées d’Otis Redding ou encore Lee Fields et, lorsque la tempête se calme, c’est Ben Harper qui s’invite dans l’imaginaire de l’auditeur.

Son univers est également marqué par le reggae avec lequel Thomas Kahn s’est construit ; The Gladiators et leur mythique bassiste Clinton Fearon, Patrice, Toots ou encore Ken Boothe.

Après 2 ans et demi de travail minutieux et intensif, Thomas Kahn livre un second album complet, délicat, fougueux mais contemplatif. Guidé par les personnalités et l’univers d’artistes tels que Charles Bradley, Brittany Howard, ou le duo Eric Burton et Adrian Quesada des Black Pumas, le résultat est à la hauteur des attentes.

Les mots sont forts, aliénables, soutenus par des choeurs profonds et puissants inspirés du gospel. La section cuivre soutient la flamme nécessaire aux rythmes variés des titres, traversant la frontière d’un bord à l’autre de la Nothern à la Southern Soul. Enregistré et mixé par Laurent Dupuy (2 Grammy Awards) dans la banlieue sud de Londres, à Croydon filmé pour l’éternel dans les superbes studios de Real World, ainsi qu’à New York City, le nouvel album est une réussite sur galette comme sur scène, en soul man solo, quintet ou full band, tant l’artiste de Clermont-Ferrand donne l’impression d’avoir grandi sur les volcans imaginaires qui relient Detroit à Memphis.

French Electronic duo KRONO have remixed indie synth-pop artist Tee Dee Dees single

which has been released on the 24th of June via Alaska Music. KRONO became well-known for their remix of Aaron Smith’s

‘Dancin’

which was a major success and contributed to a play count of over 1,85 Billion plays on Spotify and Youtube. The duo has attracted the attention of legendary DJs such as Tiesto, Pete Tong, Junior Sanchez and Miguel Campbell who have used KRONO’s songs in their sets. At the moment, KRONO are collaborating with some of the most talented artists of their generation (Lost Frequencies, Klingande, VanJess to name a few). The pair have been featured on tastemaker Youtube channels such as Ultra Music, The Sound You Need, Cloudkid, Armada Music, House Nation, Selected, and La Belle Musique as well as Dancing Astronaut, YourEDM, Vibe and Red Bull Music. This latest remix has been supported by the renowned publication Notion Magazine.

Born and based in Tel-Aviv, Ori Mark spent some time living in Boston before he would go on to follow his passion for the written word, becoming editor in chief at Haaretz Magazine. Tee Dee Dees is the solo project of Ori Mark.

Ascending indie singer-songwriter Marina Laurendi drops her latest single “Neighborhood Kids” ahead of her “Stay Mine” EP debuting in August. “Neighborhood Kids” is a sweet and sultry hometown ballad, perfect for slow summer days. The music crescendos throughout, starting with simple acoustic guitar, piano and light synth until it culminates with a face-melting bluesy electric guitar solo at the song’s finale. The sound has a wide variety of influences, including a folksy Americana vibe reminiscent of Brandi Carlile, melancholic indie pop evoking Lana Del Rey, and an edgier blues sound with notes of Gary Clarke Jr.

On the new single, Marina said, “I wrote Neighborhood Kids after coming back home after years of living away. Seeing and re-experiencing my hometown in the summertime as an adult hit me with a wave of nostalgia-driving down the neighborhood streets at sunset, reconnecting with people I hung out with in high school- all of it brought back this youthful sense of rebellion, curiosity, and a sense of suburban restlessness that summed up my entire youth pretty well.” Marina Laurendi lived in New York City before returning to her hometown of Buffalo, NY, as so many young people have done after the pandemic. Rather than dwell on leaving the big city, Laurendi takes a different approach, leaning into her roots, and adopting the “everything happens for a reason” attitude. She sums it up perfectly at the end of the song when she croons, “Bittersweet baby, I got nothing to chase it. The music’s been here but we don’t wanna face it. Nothing feels different when I’m hanging with the neighborhood kids.”

Marina Laurendi is an artist/ singer-songwriter who fuses elements of cinematic pop, alternative rock, and singer-songwriter lyricism to create her unique sound. Poetic and moody with catchy melodies and haunting vocals, her music is steeped in personal experience yet universally relatable. A Western New York native, Marina grew up as a theatre performer and moved to NYC shortly after college to perform Off-Broadway and around the East Coast. Her music is heavily influenced by the pulse of the city along with the quiet nostalgia of her roots. Marina has recently performed at notable venues such as The Bitter End in NYC, Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, Nietzsche’s and Mr. Goodbar in Buffalo, and The Orleans County Fairgrounds (Tedfest V). Her music has been featured on Thunder 102 in Sullivan County, in Broadway World and NYS Music, and has earned her spots on dozens of independent Spotify playlists.
