Francesca Louise is an indie/folk singer-songwriter, who’s soulful, Carole King inspired vocals paired with songwriting influences from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Lucy Rose, Flyte and The Staves, makes this artist one to watch.

Her latest single “Odyssey” was written during the pandemic, when the songwriter was triggered by a traumatic event. She confides, “Due to this unexpected and traumatic event, I was forced to confront the effects that the pandemic was having on people’s mental health, and it brought me back to my own struggles with mental health too. I guess the song is a cry out for answers and poses questions that we all ask at some point in our lives, questions that we were desperate to hear the answers to at such a desperate time in our history.”

The process of creating “Odyssey” was an emotional one, with Louise feeling completely overwhelmed, defeated and frustrated. This song is an honest and cathartic track, an ode to someone gone too soon and a reminder of the hardships we have all had to face over the past few years. Described as pensive and open to plenty of interpretation, “Odyssey” is beautifully melancholic, mellow and pure.

FRANSIS are a London based alt/indie band fronted by singer-songwriter Emma Withers. Formerly known as Emma & the Idles, the band have been hailed as ‘Jessie J meets Joan Jett’, making a name for their balls to the wall approach to their sound and sharp songwriting style.

Reminiscent of Wolf Alice and Florence + The Machine, FRANSIS make music that smacks you in the face in a slightly different way, and whilst they float between genres of rock, indie, pop, soul and blues; they show an unrelenting penchant for dramatic, powerful and meaningful music. After busking on the streets of London and making a name for herself as a unique and energetic performer, powerhouse singer Withers decided to form a band to accelerate the sound she so desperately wanted, and boy did she get it. FRANSIS was born.

“Pin Me Down” was spurred by the tragic murder of Sarah Everard. It tackles a subject which is often difficult to talk about but shared by so many women, that of sexual assault, candidly focusing on the mental strain particularly in the aftermath, and the struggle behind closed doors. Described as a therapeutic exorcism, Withers shares, “This song is vulnerable and real, I wanted to focus on the self destruction, the brokenness, the confusion, the anger, and then finally the release which is supported by the music constantly, and as the song intensifies we hit an explosive finale, and an emotional release which was incredibly satisfying to perform in the studio, I did like 8 takes of this to get the raw emotion out of me, this is bonded with the mammoth eruption of epic guitar lines and pure power from the band.”

Despite the serious nature of “Pin Me Down” there is a positive outline, of admittance and then at the end, a collective sense of women standing together. A strong message that no-one should feel alone in their struggle, to let shame keep their burdens as skeletons or be fearful of walking down the street alone at night. Withers encourages, “Get mad, scream, cry and use this song for its intent, let us stand together for change. If Pin Me Down helps one woman come to terms with any trauma and speak out about her experiences, the job is literally done. You’re not alone.”

“Pin Me Down” is the second single to be released off of their upcoming EP, which will be celebrated at their very own launch party at The Water Rats in London on 1st July 2022.

Entitled « Multiply » the haunting and thrilling song is about facing an all encompassing rage in the dead of pain. The track highlights eerie synths, a swell of syncopated bass lines and theatricality sinister string arrangements. POESY admits: “I swear I didn’t mean it to end like this, but you know what you did.” She may not have wanted to fight fire with fire, but sometimes, as she states, “rage is a pretty thing”. The medieval inspired empowering visuals center around the theme of embracing the power of divine feminity.

POESY is the solo project of classically trained singer, songwriter and pianist, Sarah Botelho. She was discovered after she appeared on the first season of hit Canadian music competition show, THE LAUNCH. Her incredible breakout performance propelled POESY to new heights yet unseen, landing her a major label deal with Big Machine Records and an opportunity to collaborate with esteemed composer and producer Stephan Moccio (Celine Dione, Avril Lavigne) on her debut single ‘Soldier of Love’ . This release charted in the Billboard Top 40 and was followed by a four-track long EP entitled Glass Box Confessional. Her singles “Body Language” and “Strange Little Girl” debuted in the Top 20 at Rock Radio. Born in Soveria Mannelli, Italy, Stefano took to music at an early age and began classical piano training at age seven. He quickly gained notoriety by performing on popular Italian TV shows, and since then has collaborated with famed songwriters, as well as the famed director Franco Zeffirelli. Honing his craft further, the musician and singer has ultimately composed and scored motion picture soundtracks under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Jamal Joseph.

In « Hot Night », the romantic and exquisite Latin inspired song fuses sultry vocals, slick dance-worthy production, and sophisticated Santana-like guitars highlighted with glowing vocals from Moonlight Jones and Karina Iglesias (finalist on The Voice). The result is the ultimate blend of passion, fever, and ecstasy that is so effortlessly pronounced in the Latin music culture. « My music is inspired by my lifelong love of different cultures and the music that each unique culture brings. My belief is that music has the ability to bring people together across different backgrounds and has the power to heal. Produced by acclaimed Nino Valentino and multiple grammy winning trumpet player and arranger, Dante Vargas, Moonlight Jones assembled the best talent that Miami had to offer to work on the record. The song was then sent to multiple Grammy-winning mixing engineer, Sean Moffitt ( David Bowie, The Weeknd, Foo Fighters,The Killers, Tiesto, Imagine Dragons, Bon Jovi, 21 Savage, Run the Jewels) and Grammy-winning mastering engineer, Joe LaPorta from Sterling Sound.

The video for « Hot Night » was directed by the brilliant David Rousseau, Miami’s superstar director for Pitbull with over 5 billion views.

Music has taken Moonlight Jones to many corners of the globe and from coast to coast in the United States. A self-taught guitarist, he was fascinated with how easily music could open up whole worlds of creativity and inspiration. He promptly learned as much as he could from every musician he knew in his hometown of Tampa, Florida and set off on his musical journey.

Born to an Egyptian father and an American mother of Czech heritage, MoonLight Jones’ introduction into the world of music was wide ranging and has influenced his musical style ever since. Latin, Middle Eastern and World music was always playing in MoonLight Jones’ household, as was Blues, Bluegrass, Asian, and Folk music.

The sound of the flamenco guitar in particular inspired him to move to Spain and learn as much as he could about the style while living and studying in Barcelona and Granada. Trips to Puerto Rico, Cuba and Colombia further opened up his world to the rich musical cultures of those countries and many others.

His professional music career started in Los Angeles, CA. His first job in L.A. was working for famed graphic designer Kyle Cooper, in Malibu. Shortly after, Jeff decided to pursue sound engineering to round out his growing musical experience. Whilst working with many local bands he got an opportunity to tour with the 100 Monkeys, which was “Twilight” alum Jackson Rathbone’s band and headlined shows at The Whiskey-A-Go Go, The Mint, The House of Blues on Sunset and The Viper Room, to name a few. He also produced hip-hop for The Jugernox, with Scott “The Scientist” Coslett and Jerry “J-Strong” Armstrong for artists like James Jr, a Memphis rapper and also H-Town rapper, Rock.

Moonlight Jones’ love of film music eventually landed him a job with Heitor Pereira, famed film composer, who had a studio at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Studios in Santa Monica. Moonlight Jones also lived in Nashville, TN. where he plied his trade in Southern Rock band, Suthurn Swaggur, with the talented lead vocalist and lyricist, Joseph Dawson.

More recently, he moved back to Florida, this time to Miami, where he began working with local Haitian artists, Claude Cajuste of Gemini All-Stars fame, and rapper/singer Purple Gorilla. Together, they formed the group Echo N Dream and have played shows all over Miami.

In 2021, Moonlight Jones teamed up with International recording artist and producer Nino Valentino. Together they created a unique genre of music called « Cosmic Soul » which is a blend of Flamenco music, R&B and Rock. When asked why they chose the name « Cosmic Soul » Moonlight Jones responded, « Through our music we want to connect with our fans on a universal level, that’s what Cosmic Soul is all about. Connecting with each other using our music as the vehicle ». Moonlight Jones just released his latest single, “Hot Night”, written by Moonlight Jones and produced by Nino Valentino and recorded at Mambo Cat Studios owned by Grammy-winning Trumpet Player Dante Vargas. The song also features the amazing vocals of Karina Iglesias, a Miami native and finalist on “The Voice”. The track was then mixed by Grammy winning engineer Sean Moffitt and mastered by Grammy winning engineer Joe LaPorta.
