The track features impassioned vocals soaring over melancholic acoustic guitars, echoing harmonies, and velvety-laced soundscapes that gently seduce and envelop the listener for an immersive and heart-wrenching experience.

Maidin is a New Jersey born and bred singer, songwriter, musician and actress. The artist, who took her name to mean morning in Irish Gaelic, crafts ethereal and pensive folk-laced indie pop layered with soft electronic beats that is as bittersweet as it is enthralling.

Maidin began singing and playing instruments as a very young child. Fascinated by the violin in the first grade, she begged her mother for music lessons but became frustrated with reading sheet music. This led Maidin to learn music her own way, pretending to read sheet music while secretly playing by ear. Soon after, Maidin began to pick up piano by ear in church and school, and eventually received piano, guitar, and voice lessons which progressed her natural talent and helped shape her technique.

As a teenager, the talented singer played in a band in her friend’s basement but didn’t consider music as an attainable profession, and therefore decided to pursue a career in acting and joined off- Broadway performances in New York City. After experiencing an abrupt halt in the acting business at the start of the pandemic, Maidin returned to her roots in music, joined a local band, and was quickly signed to Siri Music Group after being discovered playing in the streets of Hoboken, New Jersey.

Drawing influences from the likes of songwriting powerhouses Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton, along with experimental pop musicians St. Vincent and Sylvan Esso, Maidin aims to create music that captures the vivid storytelling of folk music with a fresh and modern alternative pop sound. Her upcoming releases detail coming-of-age relationships and all the relatable emotions that go hand-in-hand with experiencing love, loss, yearning, and grief.

In her debut single “Celestial Body”, Maidin’s impassioned vocals soar over melancholic acoustic guitars, echoing harmonies, and velvety-laced soundscapes that gently seduce and envelop the listener for an immersive and heart-wrenching experience. “Celestial Body” details a love that’s just out of reach and a longing to be with someone that you ultimately can’t have. Maidin confides, “the first idea for ‘Celestial Body’ came to me on a beach in July, when the moon was out in the middle of the day. It’s a really unsettling thing to see, as I’m sure most people know. I started thinking of the image of a “celestial body” to represent somebody who I would’ve liked to be close with, but this person was keeping me at a distance. A celestial body is something beautiful, that you can admire and love from far away, but you can’t ever reach. Melodically and musically, the song seemed to come out of thin air.”

With an otherworldly breathtaking voice and a natural ability to capture life’s most significant moments through emotion-stirring lyrics and thoughtful storytelling, Maidin is an artist on the rise. “Celestial Body” is due March 11th via Siri Music Group.

Black Crystal tient le « Bâtiment »

Black Crystal

“Bye Bye Blondie” narrates the closing of a chapter. The artist shares, “I say goodbye to an old version of myself – Christian album Allan.”

Whoever Allan Rayman is, he’s made a hell of a body of work so far. The Wyoming born, Toronto based artist has delivered one head-scratching, hypnotic and heavenly project after another, including

Hotel Allan

[2016],

Courtney

EP [2017],

Roadhouse 01

[2017],

Harry Hard-On

[2018], and

[2020]. Along the way, he generated over 250 million streams, sold out tours in Europe, The United States and Canada, and shined at festivals, including Reading & Leads,

Bonnaroo

,

Lollapalooza

,

Ohana

,

Austin City Limits

, and

Osheaga

. In the midst of this whirlwind, he gained a newfound clarity and applied it to finishing

ROADHOUSE 02

during the Global Pandemic.

Every side of Rayman shines on

ROADHOUSE 02

. Thematically inspired by Kurt Vonnegut’s classic

Slaughterhouse-Five

, Rayman sonically nods back to the nocturnal R&B of his early work. The 13-track album focuses on the musician’s career to date; being signed and dropped, to the feeling of not being “the right guy for the job” and the struggle of finding positivity in all this negative space. Touching on maturity and the revelations that come with it, Rayman becomes unstuck in time and is shown his life and what’s to come of it if he continues to let Mr. Roadhouse have full control. It ultimately leads to depression and unfortunately death.

ROADHOUSE 02

is Rayman being shown his options and having to make the decision on where he wants his life to go.

Following the release of “Rider” is “Bye Bye Blondie,” narrating the closing of a chapter. The artist shares, “I say goodbye to an old version of myself – Christian album Allan.” Oscillating synths ride atop a scattering of different sounds, layering to create a unique sonic landscape, as he sings, “You cut your hair again, it’s new and ugly, that’s what you wanted so you can hide from me, I’m still the wolf outside your door.”

The music video for “Bye Bye Blondie” is the follow up to the “Rider” music video. It is a full circle moment connecting the three albums (

Roadhouse 01, ROADHOUSE 02

and

Hotel Allan

). Allan Rayman is shown where his life leads should he continue to give Mr. Roadhouse full control.

Rayman shares, “Together the songs and video tell a story of an artist who creates an alter ego to handle success in the music industry and what happens when you lose yourself in that character. Ultimately the album is by an artist for an artist. It shines light on the negatives that come with this career choice. With an underlying theme that our shortcomings as artists are our strength; makes for good music – real music.” Slated for release March 18th,

ROADHOUSE 02

marks a new chapter for Allan Rayman.

casii stephan shares her new single already gone

Casii Stephan shares her new single « Already Gone »

Casii Stephan

New single « Already Gone »

Spotify

Apple

Entitled « Already Gone », the rock single details a woman’s courage and journey into leaving her abuser. Casii confides, « I don’t think mocking your abuser is ever advised and this song definitely mocks. This is more the hype song that someone can play to give them the courage to finally just leave. May it give someone the extra push they need to run. Trust your soul. Go. »

Casii Stephan is a soul pop/rock artist hailing from Minnesota. Now based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the impassioned songstress evokes subtle vibrato notes and roller-coaster-like melodies, which immediately grab the listener, while her emotional lyrics share intimate stories. She has been compared to the likes of Florence Welch, Fiona Apple and Carole King, as her vocal timbre possesses a full and warm quality.

Stephan’s voice is fierce and fearless, but this was not always the case. She grew up shy and afraid of her voice until she started writing songs on the family piano in South St. Paul when she was 16. In music, she discovered something extraordinary that allowed her to transcend everyday life and find a deeper sense of self. Stephan moved to Tulsa in 2014 with the intent to give up her pursuit of a music career, however with a little encouragement from a friend, she continued her journey and started releasing music. Her songs were promptly applauded by critics and have since been racking up a number of awards, as well as garnering acclaim from media and fans across the globe.

An underlying theme throughout Stephan’s music is hope, she explains, “Its such a cliched word and yet there are so many layers to it. Hope keeps us alive. It keeps us moving. But it also feels flighty some days like a pixie that does what it wants. But it’s not a pixie. It’s more like the air we breathe. Some days it’s presence is stronger than we realize and some days we forget in our day-to-day lives that it’s there… keeping us moving forward”. Her music combines her love for the storytelling elements of Disney ballads and the bold, brilliance of The White Stripes, as well as the soul-wrenching R&B melodies of H.E.R.

Casii Stephan has seen success both obtaining and being nominated for multiple awards from the likes of Independent Music Awards, Hollywood Music in Media Awards and USA Songwriting Competition to name a few. She also heads a female fronted festival entitled MisFEST in Tulsa, that has gained recognition both locally and nationally. In 2020, Casii pivoted to a live stream music morning show, “Coffee with Casii”, which landed her performances at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, live stream edition. Her pandemic-themed song and music video, “These Hard Days” was a finalist at NYC’s Oniros Film Festival. The singer-songwriter was profiled in Billboard and recently named as NPR’s “slingshot artists to watch in 2022”.She is set to perform an official SXSW showcase and just released a soulful rock anthem against domestic abuse, “Already Gone”.

annika and the forest présente le clip de même la nuit

Annika and the Forest présente le clip de « Même La Nuit »

Annika and The Forest

Nouvel album Même La Nuit

Disponible chez Whatever / Kuroneko

Annika and The Forest a sorti il y a quelques mois son troisième album Même La Nuit sur les labels Whatever/Kuroneko.

Annika and The Forest a déjà dévoilé trois extraits de Même La Nuit.

cashma shares her new album purple apartment

Cashma shares her new album « Purple Apartment »

Cashma

New album « Purple Apartment »

Centered around love, the release features silky, soulful vocals, shimmering synths and vibey, hypnotic melodies.

Cashma is an R&B artist raised in the small town of Barnesville, GA. As the only child of her black dad and white mom, Cashma grew up seeing both sides of the world and often felt like she didn’t fit in. Seeking solace in the music of one of her biggest inspirations Sade, she gradually learnt how to be unapologetically herself and her music is a reflection of that. Moving to Atlanta at a young age, the introspective introvert has now created a space and sound all of her own.

Her new album

Purple Apartment

is the result of having her own place to live authentically and to focus and craft her music. Cashma confides, “I’m very introverted so having my own space has always been really important to me. My home is my world. It’s where I party, relax, feel safe, laugh, cry, cook, enjoy my friends, do business and overall where I’ve built my brand. I wanted this project to feel the way I do when I’m in my space, a getaway from the noises of the world. A little piece of heaven.”

Working alongside producer Mike Kalombo

Purple Apartment

is coated with a nostalgic 80’s flair. Silky, soulful vocals, shimmering synths and vibey, hypnotic melodies provide the foundations for the album, with Cashma showcasing her velvet vocal tone and ability to pen indulgent R&B anthems.

Purple Apartment

is the third installment of her purple trilogy which includes 2020’s

Purple Mosquito

and 2021’s

PURPLE LIGHTS

. Wrapping up the trio of albums, the final release sees the artist challenging herself to be raw and vulnerable with her feelings. The intimate 12-track release is centered around love. Love of self. Love of the moment. Love of a person that you’re getting comfortable with and just want to spend all your time with. The songstress reveals, “I like writing what my soul tells me. It’s therapy. I let my spirit guide me on feeling. That’s what matters to me.”

Listening to the album is like reading personal diary entries from Cashma. She unravels stories from her own life, such as “My First Apartment” which touches on the mixed emotions of being alone for the first time and “I Dress For Me” which speaks about dismissing other people’s judgemental attitudes. Her honest storytelling lyrics give us a glimpse into her life, creating a strong connection between both the artist and her listeners.

With a dedicated fanbase of people across the globe and over half a million streams for her music thus far, Cashma is quickly becoming an artist to watch.

ryan wright shares her new ep a dream i ll forget

Ryan Wright shares her new EP « A Dream I’ll Forget »

Ryan Wright

New EP « A Dream I’ll Forget »

The seven-track release is the musical embodiment of the teenage experience in all its confusing, messy, exhilarating glory.

Indie, dream pop artist Ryan Wright creates songs that don’t make sense on paper—ethereal, otherworldly and at times unsettling, underscoring how surreal and disconnected from reality the experience of transitioning into adulthood can be. Born in the suburbs of Northern Virginia in 2002, she began writing songs and performing live alongside her singer/songwriter dad at the age of 11. By the time she was a teenager, she was working in the studio and on stage alongside some of her biggest musical influences.

Wright’s surreal and intense debut EP,

A Dream I’ll Forget

, is the half-forgotten soundtrack of a memory: the music blasting through the gritty speaker of your ex’s beat up car, windows rolled down, flying fast down a familiar highway. The motif of teenage intensity serves as the EP’s consistent through-line—the internal monologue of a person experiencing the highs and lows of « firsts » that resonates among listeners. Recurring images of cars, parties, and cell phones serve as a reminder that ground the listener squarely in the world of teenage carnality but are juxtaposed with references to the sky, dreams, and music, pointing to something more ephemeral -and more eternal.

Lyrically, Wright hints at traumas that are both intimate and individual, but the sentiments are open to interpretation and can be applied universally. There’s a dark humor that undercuts that intensity—a winking acknowledgement of how trivial the vicissitudes of the teenage experience truly are despite how dire they may feel in the moment.

A Dream I’ll Forget

is the musical embodiment of the teenage experience in all its confusing, messy, exhilarating glory.

Focus track “T-shirt » is a near-universal experience: in the wake of a devastating breakup, when everything else is crumbling to nothing, there remains a physical element, a tangible piece of evidence left behind that provides nostalgia, security, and regret all at once. The item in question is a ratty old band tee that still smells like an ex–a mundane item that takes on the profound significance of a life raft in a sea of heartbreak. Trading in her signature synths for a beat-up Hofner bass, the production is built around a bassline that, as Wright puts it, “sounded like how I was feeling. » The track builds subtly, layering on sounds until the bridge explodes into a cacophony that reflects the chaos of emotion represented in the lyrics. « T-shirt » is the song you’ll play on repeat every time you experience a new heartbreak…or just want to relive an old one.

Myles Lloyd shares his new video « Down Under »

Myles Lloyd

New video « Down Under »

Myles Lloyd is an R&B singer from Montreal, Canada. His vocal presence and songwriting is filled with a careless emotion that can be defined as vulnerable, honest and when at its best, confusing. Filled with complex stories and real-life scenarios that have come to his attention over the past years, his music acts as a release when his thoughts are finally transformed into lyrics.

His new album,

Forever, Yours,

narrates saying goodbye, but still keeping the memories, emotions and experiences close to your heart. The eight-track release follows on from his 2019 album,

Goodbye

, which took a different approach of alienating the past and finally moving forward. Lloyd explains, “But how realistic is it to leave everything in the past and never think about it again. To never wonder how life would be with a do over. So many scenarios and thoughts can play in your head and it’s normal.”

Stemming from real life events, Lloyd hones in on physically leaving someone but mentally remaining attached in every way.

Forever, Yours

encompasses all these feelings and thoughts put into lyrics and melodies, touching on everything from love, sexual desires and the risqué parts of relationships.

The album title is a nod to Michael Jackson’s 1975 album,

Forever, Michael

, which Lloyd would listen to constantly as a child and still inspires his music to this day. Showcasing a more experimental side to the artist, the album is a reflection of how the last couple years has left people feeling out of their comfort zone, with the songwriter sharing, “I want to give everyone a different experience to my music than they are used to.”

Racking up an impressive three million streams for his previous releases and garnering acclaim from the likes of

Complex, Teen Vogue, Wonderland Magazine, Clash, Rolling Stone, Live Nation’s Ones to Watch, Earmilk, Source, Revolt, Sniffers

and

Hip Hop DX

, to name a few, Myles Lloyd is tipped to be one of the hottest artists for 2022.

Nouveau clip « Synchronize »

Mamas & the Papas

You And Me
