« Oh Nah Oh Nah » is an energetic sonic hybrid, sitting at the crossroads of alternative rock, hyperpop, EDM and trap metal. The Virginia-born and Oregon-based singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist could’ve easily materialized in the late nineties, but his movement actually bubbled up in 2014—and it quietly boiled over by the time he signed to Photo Finish Records eight years later. “It’s a big twist of culture,” he explains. “My music is the intersection of skateboarding, fashion, the

“I think I ran out of luck, could you please just give a fuck?”

I felt like I’d gotten all I ever wanted, but why am I not happy?” he ponders. “It was written to be consciously straightforward.”

The title

GOODGRIEF

sums up the duality at the core of 93FEETOFSMOKE.“My grandma used to always say,

‘Oh Jiminy Cricket’, good grief’

,” he reveals. “On one hand, it’s an ode to her. It’s nostalgic, because it reminds me of my childhood, but it also speaks to the project. Thematically, it deals with grief, but it’s also positive. The grief is good, because you’re getting over pain. Art is something very spiritual. You sing these words, and a crowd chants them back to you. It’s a ritual. I’m trying to manifest positivity in this ritual.”

In the end, 93FEETOFSMOKE is unlike anything you’ve heard in any era, and that’s why he connects. “I hope the sound is always unexpected and fresh,” he leaves off. “At the same time, this is the most evolved and mature version of 93FEETOFSMOKE. It’s everything I’ve been working towards.”

En embarquant le Hip Hop et la fanfare dans une histoire commune, le collectif Radio Kaizman propose un cocktail détonnant et unique ! Le brass band unique en France est de retour le 03 juin avec son nouvel EP Block Party, né de sa dernière création, mis en scène par Etienne Grebot, où se télescopent jazz, hip hop et grooves très funky.

Influencé par le bouillonnement musical de la Nouvelle Orléans et les beats du rap US, le groupe de sept musiciens façonne son répertoire, mené par ses deux vocalistes. Riffs ultra chauds, batterie hypnotique et cuivres incisifs soutiennent un flow aiguisé parsemé de chants entêtants.

Dans la rue ou sur scène, Radio Kaizman redéfinit la fanfare et ses représentations, dans une esthétique hip hop constamment renouvelée. En ressort une irrésistible envie de rejoindre la team dans une fête improvisée aux allures de Block Party.

Formé en 2013, Radio Kaizman est avant tout un groupe de scène. Profondément inspiré des sonorités urbaines, du groove et des rythmes typiques des marching bands New Orleans, ponctué de swing et d’influences latine, le collectif est de retour avec sa nouvelle création, Block Party, à retrouver également sur un EP qui sort le 03 juin.

Après un premier album sélectionné aux Inouïs du printemps de Bourges qui ouvrira au groupe les portes de nombreux festivals, Radio Kaizman a développé sa formule avec le spectacle Street Party. Le collectif a pu parcourir la France pour dévoiler ses deux facettes, spectacle de rue et show sur scène, sur une cinquantaine de dates par saison. En 2019, Radio Kaizman a sorti son deuxième album, Gold & Indigo, notamment remarqué par FIP. En 2020 a commencé la création du deuxième spectacle de rue, Block Party, qui a marqué le début de la collaboration avec un nouveau rappeur, et que l’on peut aujourd’hui découvrir en cd.

Situé quelque part entre le bouillonnement musical de la Nouvelle-Orléans, les dimensions psychédéliques du rock et le crépitement urbain du hip-hop, Radio Kaizman mené par ses deux vocalistes, nous embarque dans une transe inédite. Avec sa batterie hypnotique, ses cuivres lancinants et énergiques soutenant un flow aiguisé, le groupe réussit haut la main le pari d’amener la fanfare et le hip-hop dans une histoire commune unique et fascinante.

Fatbabs poursuit son trip musical avec la sortie de son nouveau clip, On a Daily, sur le label Big Scoop Records.

Après la réussite de son précédent EP Daily Jam qui avait su séduire autant les fans de hip-hop, que de samples ou encore de reggae, Fatbabs dévoile cet été 2022 son tout nouvel EP Daily Jam – Aimer.

Son précédent EP Daily Jam, peut être vu comme un trip musical riche et personnel que le beatmaker nous a concocté avec passion et générosité en 2017. On y retrouvait tous les styles que Fatbabs affectionne, du Hip-Hop bien sûr, en passant par le Reggae, la Soul, la Funk ou encore le Jazz. Et ce trip musical, Fatbabs le poursuit au jour le jour !

C’est d’ailleurs avec On a Daily, le tout premier single issu de son nouvel EP que le beatmaker amorce son retour. Avec ce titre, Fatbabs dévoile un instrumental planant, où une voix presque enfantine vient susurrer On a Daily. Une boucle oscillant entre Hip-hop, Jazz et Trip Hop où les cuivres si reconnaissables de Fatbabs viennent conclure le morceau.

Un clip simple, épuré mais authentique accompagne la sortie de ce single. On y découvre une succession de scènes du quotidien, qui s’enchainent au rythme du beat entêtant.

Reconnu pour être le beatmaker fétiche de la figure emblématique du Reggae Français Naâman, Fatbabs se fait remarquer en 2012. Il produit la 1ère mixtape de Naâman qui fait un carton avec le tube Skanking Shoes, et produira ses 4 albums suivants.

Devenu avec Naâman LE duo gagnant du Reggae Français, Fatbabs se consacre alors à son premier projet solo. Daily Jam, un trip musical riche et personnel que le beatmaker livre avec passion et générosité. On y retrouve tous les styles que Fatbabs affectionne, du Hip-Hop bien sûr, en passant par le Reggae, la Soul, la Funk ou encore le Jazz.

Au fil des années et des rencontres, Fatbabs a multiplié les collaborations et produit des instrumentales pour entre autres Vanzo (Jamaïque), MC Kaur (Inde), Volodia (France), ou encore Balik (France). Le beatmaker ne se distingue pas que dans le reggae, et c’est bien là sa force. Il remporte en 2017 le contest de remix organisé par Wax Tailor grâce auquel il figure sur l’album By Any Remix Necessary.

Si pour Fatbabs la musique est une histoire de passion, alors c’est une passion qui se partage et son 2ème projet solo Holidays nous le prouve bien. Solo n’est d’ailleurs pas le mot, avec plus de 15 chanteurs invités sur cet EP 5 titres. Entre Hip-Hop et Reggae Fatbabs est allé chercher les voix qui le font rêver avec Johaz du groupe californien Dag Savage, Demi Portion, Chill Bump et bien sûr Naâman.

En 2019, Fatbabs sort le grand jeu et dévoile un tout premier album solo Music is for kids, un véritable album de producteur avec plus de 20 chanteurs invités allant de la légende Jamaïcaine Sizzla, aux nouvelles étoiles montantes de la scène française telles que Demi Portion, Jahneration, Naë ou encore Marcus Gad.

Aujourd’hui, Fatbabs revient aux bases et dévoilera cet été Daily Jam – Aimer. Un nouvel EP qui se présente comme la suite de son trip musical toujours aussi riche et aussi personnel. Et c’est par le single On a Daily que Fatbabs amorce la sortie. Ce premier extrait, On a Daily est un instrumental planant et rêveur, entre Hip-hop, Jazz et Trip Hop.

, à venir très prochainement et inspiré d’un livre autobiographique du même nom.

Calbo, la deuxième goutte du groupe mythique Ärsenik qu’il forme avec son frère Lino depuis 1992, membre du collectif secteur Ä (d’où le A de Ärsenik), est originaire de Villiers-le Bel.

Premier fait d’arme avec son frère, le légendaire titre « Ball-Trap » sur la compilation « L’art d’utiliser son savoir » publiée en 1995. Par la suite, Kenzy manager du Secteur Ä les intègre au collectif. Ils apparaissent en 1996 sur la compilation Hostile HIPHOP avec le titre « L’enfer remonte à la surface » et plus tard sur la compilation L432 avec « Rimes et châtiments » en 1997 année au cours de laquelle ils rencontrent Djimi Finger qui réalisera 15 des 16 titres de leur premier album sorti en 1998 « Quelques gouttes suffisent », certifié double disque d’or. Le deuxième album du groupe « quelque chose a survécu » sort en 2002 et sera également certifié double disque d’or.

En 1999 avec d’autres rappeurs d’origine congolaise, ils forment le groupe Bisso Na Bisso sur un morceau contre les guerres au Congo Brazzaville. Le groupe sortira deux albums : Racines en 1999 double disque d’or et Africa en 2009. En 2000, il forme avec son frère Lino, Pit Baccardi, Neg’Marrons, Mc Janik le groupe Noyau dur, collectif de mentors du secteur Ä qui sortira l’album Héritage en 2005.

A présent, Calbo prépare un premier EP en solo et produit plusieurs artistes en développement.

« Quelques gouttes de plus » c’est le titre de son livre autobiographique et de son EP à venir.

The artist tells us about the creation of the single:

“This song wrote itself in about 20 minutes on Christmas Eve of last year. I had just spent some time with my folks and should have been feeling joyful but I was back home, alone, and overwhelmed by a sense of sadness. It started out on acoustic guitar but a couple of months later, I wrote some parts on my old upright piano and loved how it shifted the mood to be more hopeful. It’s about that jaded feeling of growing older where you’re not as enamoured by the activities that used to bring you joy. It just hit me at that moment while staring at my record player collecting dust.”

La compilation Jazz Out of Norway nous présente avec son dixième numéro l’incroyable vivacité de la scène jazz norvégienne.

La créativité des trente musiciens sélectionnés sur cette 10ème édition est impressionnante, par rapport à une densité de population peu élevée. La scène norvégienne s’est développée sur une nécessité de s’ouvrir aux cultures du monde en préservant un espace à soi, que chacun cultive et chérit. Paris Combo nous dévoile le clip de Seine de la vie parisienne, extrait de son dernier album Quesaco ?, émouvant hommage à l’inoubliable Belle du Berry, auteure, compositrice et chanteuse du groupe, décédée subitement en 2020 suite à un cancer, alors que le groupe venait de terminer son septième album studio.

Révélé au public Français en 1999 avec le disque d’or Living Room et une nomination aux Victoires de la Musique, Paris Combo s’est produit dans tous les grands festivals et les salles françaises les plus prestigieuses.

Paris Combo, c’est aussi une carrière internationale avec des concerts dans le monde entier et plus particulièrement aux USA.

Le clip de Seine de la vie Parisienne, avec les danseurs Alexandra Naudet et Olivier Simola, est une ode aux joies d’une errance, ensemble, dans la Ville Lumière nocturne, hivernale. Dans cet hommage en danse et en images à Belle du Berry, les réalisateurs We are the Good Children et Thatdog captent la splendeur unique de la Seine et ses myriades de reflets.

Il y a bientôt deux ans, au cœur de l’été 2020, les fans et amis de Paris Combo sont terrassés par la mort de Belle du Berry, foudroyée par un cancer à cinquante-quatre ans. Artiste au charme infini, elle incarnait une position unique, à la confluence d’un univers intemporel de cabaret swing, de la gourmandise postmoderne, des hautes valeurs de la chanson française, de l’insolence libertaire héritée de ses débuts aux temps du punk…

Tellement Paris, tellement hors du temps, tellement international, tellement enchanté, comme une conspiration un peu Django, un peu tropicalisante, un peu fétichiste, un peu cinématographique.

Ce septième album studio depuis 1997, quatre ans après Tako Tsubo, nous fait retrouver Belle du Berry, le pianiste et trompettiste David Lewis, le guitariste Potzi et le batteur François Jeannin, qui sont rejoints par Benoit Dunoyer de Segonzac à la basse et Rémy Kaprielan aux percussions et choeurs.

Paris Combo devait partir en mars 2020 en tournée aux États-Unis. Au lieu de quoi, les dernières prises ont lieu dans la France figée, au sous-sol de la maison de Cachan. Trompette, violoncelle, la voix de Belle. Puis s’enchaînent les dernières étapes : trier les prises, choisir entre telle ou telle nuance d’arrangement, peser l’intention de chaque voix, tout étager avec minutie. Belle choisit l’ordre des chansons et écoute l’album mixé. Il lui plaît. Deux semaines plus tard, le 11 août, elle s’éteint.

La maladie aura laissé le temps de savoir que Quesaco ? est l’album qu’elle a voulu.

Quésaco ? sort dans le monde entier sur Six Degrees Records, label américain de Dom La Nena et de nombreux artistes d’un monde grand ouvert – une fidélité aux longs voyages de Paris Combo et à leur chic so French.

Her releases are not just for mothers with kids though, her work is for all rap music lovers that are looking for a female rap sound without the hypersexual language and messaging.

Young Mommy believes that editing and masking explicit language in today’s music and calling it “clean” is not exactly accurate. She is rallying for the music industry and others to become aware of the need for updated labeling, and Young Mommy is a passionate leader in that fight for change. Influenced by popular creators such as Cardi B, Saweetie and Megan Thee Stallion, she possesses that same bold attitude. Her hip-hop hit “Worth It” is a vibrant pop-rap track that motivates others to go after what they want. With themes of empowerment, femininity and independence, the artist is transforming the way moms are perceived.

Raised in Canada, the flourishing artist grew up listening to a lot of American rappers. Immensely inspired by that sound, she even performed as Run DMC in her school’s concert. When she became a mom, her love for jamming out to the genre had to take a back seat. She shares, “I found I couldn’t listen to rap in front of my kids when they were about 2 because of the explicit lyrics and images in mainstream music. They began emulating popular female rappers in their videos.” This was when the light bulb went off and Young Mommy had that “a-ha” moment. She could craft fresh flows without any explicit lines. Now she has become an advocate for parents and children, creating a wholesome listening experience and filling a void in the current offerings of the rap genre.

Young Mommy just unveiled « Swanky Ma », appropriately, for Mother’s Day. Like “Worth It”, the tune has a similar energetic, danceable flair and can be enjoyed by a multitude of audiences. The song is an ode to women, especially mothers, and reminds us that we deserve to be valued, celebrated and appreciated. Young Mommy is a prime example of just how powerful and driven moms can be.

The rapper has been independently writing and performing songs since 2012 under various monikers, only recently landing on Young Mommy in 2021. In 2014, at the launch of her mission in Vancouver, Canada, she raised $8,000 via Kickstarter and dropped her first two singles with the help of a local rock and RnB producer. After relocating to California that same year, she found Omina Labs, a local recording studio in Sacramento. Over a period of several years, she independently released nine singles, paid for out of the family’s monthly grocery budget. In 2020 at the start of the Covid pandemic, her track « Mutha » garnered interviews with Entertainment Tonight and ET Canada.

This year she shows no signs of slowing down. Young Mommy hopes this next piece will be as successful as her last. “Swanky Ma” is an up-tempo, salsa-inspired rap beat that could honestly be played in the car, home, salon, mall or club. “It’s for all the mamas who want to feel more confident and own their hotness and power.” Going from a 7-year marketing career to concocting clean rap, Young Mommy inspires moms and people everywhere to take a stand in what they believe. This visionary is trailblazing a path for other artists to consider the effect their music has on children and challenges them to write content without the need for expletives.
