“We Are the Power” is a timeless and comforting anthem for the holiday season, inviting each of us to slow down, count our blessings, and reconnect to the world around us in a much deeper, intentional way. The acoustic performance was filmed in a warm, colorful setting where Stefano May effortlessly plays the keyboard alongside the very talented guitarist Nikola Stajic. The result is heartwarming as the two musicians exchange smiles and subtle laughs over moments of connection and amazement during the peaks of the song. With uplifting lyrics, gentle strings, and transcendent vocals over melodic notes of piano, the song reminds us, “We are the power, we have a way to inspire, we light the match for the fire.” The dialed back acoustic version of Stefano May’s gospel infused single is authentic, meaningful, and a true source of inspiration as he stuns the audience with his celestial vocals and emotive wonder.

Stefano May is an LGBTQ+ artist who grew up in Soveria Mannelli, Italy before coming to Miami. He first met acclaimed producer Chico Bennett (Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Prince) in 2019, and the two have been working together ever since.

He has received acclaim from the likes of

CNN Argentina, GLAAD, Ladygunn, Alpha FM Brazil, Earmilk, Kaltblut, Good Day Live,

and

Qatar Airways

to name a few. Most recently, Stefano was the second music artist chosen to perform at the internationally acclaimed fine artist Romero Britto’s “BRITTO Palace” in Miami, following a debut performance by Andrea Bocelli. Other performances include The Britely, Woodward Opera House, IHeartMedia Stage and the iconic Hotel Cafe in the heart of Hollywood. In addition to music, Stefano has recently partnered with the The Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF), where he champions for disease awareness and prevention.

Stefano May hopes his music helps listeners through their own personal journeys as they pursue their gifts and aspirations. “Music is made to heal your soul. People find commonality in the music they listen to and every song has the right time and place for each of its listeners,” confides Stefano.

Stefano is a singer, songwriter and piano virtuoso who fuses soul, pop and classical for an enthralling musical journey. The talented songwriter’s music is marked by hope, love and connection in the aim to heal.

Born in Italy, Stefano took to music at an early age and began classical piano training at age seven. He quickly gained notoriety by performing on popular Italian TV shows, and since then has collaborated with famed songwriters, as well as the famed director Franco Zeffirelli. Honing his craft further, the musician and singer has ultimately composed and scored motion picture soundtracks under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Jamal Joseph.

2019 marked the beginning of his solo project, when Stefano began collaborating with famed producer Chico Bennett (Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Prince). His debut single “Prayer” highlights the songwriter’s warm and confessional vocals brimming with such passion, and yet such delicate vibrato tones. Stefano’s otherworldly vocal delivery glides with memorable melodies over intimate piano. The moving lyrics detail the act of loving again after hardship and disconnection. With comparisons to Sam Smith, Andrea Bocelli, and Michael Bublé, “Prayer” marked a graceful and exciting debut for this generational artist on the rise.

In Stefano’s single “We Are The Power,” the songwriter invites us all to take part in healing the world together. The glorious composition features soulful vocals, a soaring melody, and a vivacious chorus complete with a gospel choir for a most heartfelt demonstration of love, optimism, and vitality. « Find My Way » was born as a musical tribute to the Motown world that has been highly influential to Stefano’s musical taste and sound since he was a young child. Thematically, the song was inspired by his mother, who raised Stefano to pursue big dreams and share his gifts with strength, patience, and heartfelt dedication. « False Horizon » is a festival inspired song featuring stylistic tangents of iconic California desert vintage, while « Don’t Say Goodbye » is a song that puts a spotlight on second chances in life and relationships.

In his latest single, Stefano May channels intimate experiences of pain, plunging into life’s hardest moments. Working alongside producer Chico Bennett, a hauntingly beautiful ballad called “Crazy” was born – a deeply reflective, desolate take on the dark corners of enduring devotion. Stefano’s achingly raw demonstration of stirring vulnerability reaches deep into our psyche for a lingering expression of cathartic lament.

Stefano aims to bring people together through the power of music. By sharing his gifts, he empowers others to do the same. “Music is made to heal your soul. People find commonality in the music they listen to and every song has the right time and place for each of its listeners.”

Waiting For Smith

New music video « Heal »

For the video for “Heal”, Waiting For Smith sat in a studio meditating for 8 hours throughout the day, while out on a nearby street passers-by were asked the question: What is it that you would like to heal? They were then invited to write their answers on his body.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Waiting For Smith has unveiled the stunning video for “Heal”, the latest track to be taken from the Amsterdam-based Londoner’s new six-track EP

Trying Not To Try

which was produced and co-written by Dane Etteridge (Lewis Capaldi, Declan J Donovan, & StLundi and is out now.

The themes of

Trying Not To Try

are centred around mental health and becoming. If that sounds like heavy going, it most certainly isn’t; Lloyd tackles these subjects with lightness and optimism, with pin-sharp melodies and hooks that are instant earworms. The songwriter shares, “Over the past few years I’ve been on a real search to explore my mind while pursuing music, beginning with a year in bed after an accident. I read and watched everything I could to be inspired. I tried many forms of therapy and healing in search of a calmer approach to life’s ups and downs – realising I couldn’t control my life but I could control how I reacted to it. The EP came out of those early discoveries of philosophy, meditation and The Tao Te Ching. This all helped to find out what I was looking for: Ask for it, and then let go of the outcome. And that is the meaning of Trying Not To Try”.

For the video for “Heal”, Waiting For Smith sat in a studio meditating for 8 hours throughout the day, while out on a nearby street passers-by were asked the question: What is it that you would like to heal? They were then invited to write their answers on his body. People from all nationalities, all backgrounds and around 17 languages were involved. The idea was that a non-judgemental and still presence would present the perfect canvas to be written on, and by being listened to and heard these volunteers were able to let go of what they didn’t need.

Waiting For Smith is Harry Lloyd, who decided to dedicate his life to music after breaking his back aged 24 and spending a year in recovery. He had always been musical – Lloyd began writing songs aged 7 and has been playing drums and piano since the same age – but finding himself bedbound for a year he learned the guitar and, after finding comfort in poetry, started writing songs with a renewed sense of purpose. Once mobile again Lloyd formed Waiting for Smith, named after endlessly waiting for their original drummer Smith, who always failed to show up.

Since debuting his music in 2019, Waiting for Smith has received millions of Spotify plays and landed radio play on over 190 stations around the world, including by Huw Stephens on Radio 1, Dermot O’Leary and Jo Whiley on Radio 2, Tom Robinson on 6 Music, Maz Tappuni on Radio X, Flux Fm in Germany, Radio Doble Neuve in Lima, Peru and KROQ and KISS FM in the USA and Radio One in India. He’s received over 2000 syncs internationally, from the US to Finland and Indonesia. WFS tracks have provided the sonics for the Japanese Grand Prix and a big Netflix Series ‘Vis A Vis (Locked Up)’, to the standout soap in Germany and one of the biggest TV commercials in Spain, the Christmas ad for El Corte Ingles. He has toured the UK and internationally, both as a headliner and a support.

Mayu

1er EP Pas d’ici

Zoe Sky Jordan

New singles « Just Fine » and « Achievement of Youth »

Spotify

Zoe Sky Jordan has just dropped two new singles from her upcoming album, « Just Fine » and « Achievement of Youth ». Reminiscent of Soccer Mommy, Zoe’s new music focuses on acknowledgement, forgiveness, understanding and self-acceptance.

The title track, « Selfish », kicks in with echoey, haunting piano and synths trailing a diary style confession which reveals a main plotline of Zoe Sky Jordan’s new album. Penned during the pandemic, which saw Zoe and her husband move in with her parents for seven months, the album is reflective, introspective, investigative and dissective. In the same way that many of us gained perspective once we were forced to sit still, Zoe’s voyage home, after years out on her own living in Toronto and Nashville, gave her fresh eyes and ears to embrace a new frame of mind.

Daughter of acclaimed artist / songwriter / producer power couple Amy Sky and Marc Jordan, Zoe watched first-hand the differences afforded a successful man vs a successful woman in the music industry. The harsh judgements cast upon her ‘not so stay at home’ mother, impacted the at the time very young Zoe. She brings those feelings to the surface in many of the 13 tracks that comprise the full

Selfish

album, set for release in Spring 2023. Acknowledgement, forgiveness, understanding and self-acceptance are the themes that abound. This is an album that takes you through all of the emotions and plunks you at the doorstep labelled ‘Be at peace with yourself’.

Musically this album is reminiscent of Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail and Ethan Gruska. The first two singles released off the upcoming album, “Just Fine” and “Achievement of Youth”, were produced by Liam Russell, and mixed by Rob Shnapf (Kurt Vile, Elliot Smith). Stepping into a bolder and more brazen persona, « Just Fine » is a jammy and angsty track complete with sloshy guitar, bouncing drums and hypnotic, soaring vocals that proclaims

“I always live up to the hype, never crack under pressure”.

Zoe shares with us that the inspiration for « Achievement Of Youth » came from some very powerful words spoken by actress/writer Carrie Fisher:

“Youth and beauty are not accomplishments. They’re the temporary happy by-products of time and / or DNA. Don’t’ hold your breath for either”.

As the years go by, you get a better understanding of who you are as an individual and you’re happy with just being you.

Zoe has seen great experiences and career highlights, having shared the stage with the likes of Marlon Williams, Ohmme, Madi Diaz, Molly Pardon, Savannah Conley, Andrew Combs, Jezzie Baylin and more. She enjoys collaborating with artists in all genres and in 2020 she teamed up with Kayobe (Cadence Music) for his track “No Sympathy” which was the lead single off his album and Nashville folk darling Robby Hecht for his song « Ferris Wheel ».

TOPIARY

, her 2015 EP charted in the top 10 at U.S. college radio and won a CSC award for the music video for “Powerlines”, one of the album’s first singles. You know Zoe from a myriad of TV placements her songs have had including Lost Girl, Riverdale, Finding Carter, Less Than Kind, Hockey Night in Canada and Hallmark. Her covers of “True Colors” and “Love Is All Around” were featured in Canadian Tire’s award-winning Christmas ads 2 years in a row.

Much more to come, leading up to the Spring 2023 release of

Après «

Venloer

« .

qu’on commence à rêver.

Vancouver’s Sunday Morning have just released their latest single with an a-side cover of Art Bergmann’s Canadian punk classic

Junky Don’t Care

and a b-side original called

Explain the World

. Sunday Morning is the brainchild of Vancouver music scene stalwart, Bruce Wilson. Wilson’s prolific art and music career took shape in New York and Detroit after his drug and alcohol fueled grunge-punk band “Tankhog” imploded in the late 90’s.

Junky Don’t Care

is a tribute to Canadian punk legend Art Bergmann, and an exercise in self-reflection for Wilson, who himself survived the challenges of addiction. “Art’s music has been a soundtrack to my life and his poetic lyrics and brilliant vocal delivery are qualities I’ve always aspired to,” says Wilson. « More than anything this song is a loving tribute to a man who has never stopped being an artist and whose work has influenced me since I was the pink haired teenager writing bad high school poetry in spiral notebooks during math class.” When it came time to make the video they reunited with their frequent collaborator RD Cane; an obvious choice considering he had already directed two of Bergman’s best known videos:

Bound For Vegas

and

My Empty House

.

Born on the Florida panhandle, Bruce Wilson spent his formative years listening to his parents’ Velvet Underground and Beatles albums on repeat. Following decades of innumerable moves and fronting many bands from Tallahassee to Vancouver, Bruce Wilson emerged from a heroin induced haze uncertain about his future. After a long period of recovery and spending time in western Massachusetts he returned to Vancouver to cloister himself away for a year in a small room in east Vancouver’s Waldorf Hotel. There he started writing what was initially a novel and would end up being Sunday Morning’s debut self-titled album released in 2016. A third draft of the novel still sits on his bedside table waiting patiently for another rewrite. The album garnered widespread critical acclaim including being named best Vancouver release by The Georgia Straight. In 2020 on the cusp of a global pandemic Sunday Morning released their Consequence Of Love EP described by Canadian Beats as,

“Layered and complex, both musically and lyrically. It is creative and unique, utilizing a wide range of abstract influences like Iggy Pop and David Bowie, but adapting and translating their sounds into something wholly new and enthralling.”

At Sunday Morning’s core is guitarist/producer Felix Fung, bassist/keyboardist Max Sample and vocalist/keyboardist Bruce Wilson. Over the years Sunday Morning’s studio line up has included such Vancouver music luminaries as Dave Genn (Matthew Good Band, 54-40), Carmen Bruno (Trailerhawk), JP Carter (Destroyer), Stephen Hamm (Slow), Dominic Conway (Malleus Trio) and drummer Shawn Mrazek (Flash Bastard). They’ve worked with award winning producers like Chris Birkett (Sinead O’Connor) and Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother).

Over the past year, Sunday Morning’s creator and front man Bruce Wilson has been sequestered in his small Vancouver apartment feverishly writing the next Sunday Morning album. Bruce’s songs are short poetic vignettes that are drawn from personal experience. His song cycles follow loose narrative arcs and span genres held together by a continuous thread of vulnerability that he admits still can make him uncomfortable. The release of the Junky Don’t Care/Explain The World single on December 2nd is a transitional mark in Sunday Morning’s storied history—from its naissance in a tiny downtown eastside hotel room, through a world of influences and back to a place of solitude ruminating on mortality. Sunday Morning continues its mission to span the wide range of colors on the sonic and emotional spectrums. Fans of David Bowie, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, and Suicide will surely be delighted.

ALEX DOPIERO

Nouvel album concept « VHS »

Disponible depuis le 2 Décembre 2022

(Hookers Records/ Kuroneko)

« VHS »
