Entitled « That Girl », the single was « written on a whim after weeks of trying to keep a habit checklist and failing miserably. The pop rock inspired anthem encapsulates the energy of wanting so badly to be that girl who wakes up at 6 AM, goes on walks every morning, and drinks coffee black but never getting to that unattainable goal, » confides Emei.

Emei is an alt-pop singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. Her clearcut lyrics and cheeky tone guarantee listeners to press replay. But even before she started writing, Emei developed incredible stage presence from her experience competing on Chinese Idol at 15. After receiving third place on the show through months of stadium shows, Emei began releasing her own music on Chinese platforms and eventually performing on Dancing with the Stars of China. Earthquake Lights are a five-piece rock outfit from NYC. Their first EP,

West Hollywood based self-taught producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter If U Take Me Home is the musical project of Jon Benward. Having experienced a variety of incarnations over the years, he is now honing down his unique style and melodious sound with a new era of music.

Constantly finding new ways to reflect himself and the ever-changing world through music, his influences span wide. Finding familial comfort in R&B, his inspirations include the likes of PARTYNEXTDOOR, The Weeknd and Majid Jordan. Mix in earlier pop-punk influences from Sum 41 and Blink 182, and you form the foundations of Benward’s exciting endeavors.

His latest single “Drag” was written during a particularly transitional period of Benward’s life. He explains, “This song is about a particular relationship that turned nasty for me very quickly. The parallel I draw in this song is the fact that the Christian belief of blind obedience often comes with the promise of some reward after the fact. I think the main reason that most people stay in toxic situations is the idea that they will be rewarded with that situation becoming better over time.” Combining his truly euphoric musical direction with echoing melodies, bulging basslines and relentless rhythms, If U Take Me Home offers introspection like no other in his latest single. In his words, « My music is heavily inspired by the complex and heavy emotions that my songs tend to start from. »

Le brass band Radio Kaizman est de retour avec son nouvel EP Block Party, et une vaste tournée dans toute la France cet été.

Avec sa batterie hypnotique, ses cuivres lancinants et énergiques soutenant un flow aiguisé, Radio Kaizman réussit haut la main le pari d’emmener la fanfare et le hip-hop dans une histoire commune.

Avec son mélange unique de hip hop et de fanfare, le collectif Radio Kaizman propose un cocktail particulièrement funky.

Influencé par le bouillonnement musical de la Nouvelle Orléans et les beats du rap US, le groupe de sept musiciens façonne son répertoire, mené par ses deux vocalistes. Riffs ultra chauds, batterie hypnotique et cuivres incisifs soutiennent un flow aiguisé parsemé de chants entêtants.

Formé en 2013, Radio Kaizman est avant tout un groupe de scène. Profondément inspiré des sonorités urbaines, du groove et des rythmes typiques des marching bands New Orleans, ponctué de swing et d’influences latine, le collectif est de retour avec sa nouvelle création, Block Party, à retrouver également sur un EP qui sort le 03 juin.

Après un premier album sélectionné aux Inouïs du printemps de Bourges qui ouvrira au groupe les portes de nombreux festivals, Radio Kaizman a développé sa formule avec le spectacle Street Party. Le collectif a pu parcourir la France pour dévoiler ses deux facettes, spectacle de rue et show sur scène, sur une cinquantaine de dates par saison. En 2019, Radio Kaizman a sorti son deuxième album, Gold & Indigo, notamment remarqué par FIP. En 2020 a commencé la création du deuxième spectacle de rue, Block Party, qui a marqué le début de la collaboration avec un nouveau rappeur, et que l’on peut aujourd’hui découvrir en cd.

Situé quelque part entre le bouillonnement musical de la Nouvelle-Orléans, les dimensions psychédéliques du rock et le crépitement urbain du hip-hop, Radio Kaizman mené par ses deux vocalistes, nous embarque dans une transe inédite. A découvrir sur scène dès que possible.

Guyville is a Los Angeles based duo composed of its founding members, Kat Hamilton and Emily Hulslander. The pair craft songs that combine elements of 90s rock, pop and Americana. As their name suggests, the legacy of Liz Phair brought these two powerful women together in songwriting bliss. The duo strikes the perfect chord with Hulslander’s intelligent pop approach and Hamilton’s confessional lyricism.

Guyville

was formed during your usual Los Angeles writing session in the Valley. What was unusual was the easy flow and chemistry between the two prolific writers. Within a few hours, the duo had written their first song “Should’ve Never Dated”. Emily Hulslander had already made a strong name for herself in LA songwriting circles, but was struggling to find another writer who she could relax into the process with. Kat Hamilton was newer to LA, but felt unfulfilled as a writer. On that pivotal day, Emily and Kat found common ground in their failed relationships, artistic journeys and the women of the 90s.

The end of summer jam combines elements of indie rock and 90s girl anthems with a sprinkle of Shania Twain. “Nothing” celebrates the wonderful post- breakup feeling of absolutely nothing for your ex. In the music video, Hamilton and Hulslander frolic in rose gardens and dance along sandy beaches. The result is a bubbly, tongue in cheek ode to getting over it and moving on.

With their track « Should Have Never Dated » Guyville crafts a highly infectious 90’s inspired indie rock song all about the regret of entering into certain romantic relationships especially those with other musical partners and collaborators. Mixing work with pleasure does not always end well and Guyville explores this in the magnetic « Should Have Never Dated ».
