La Bronze présente le clip de « Vis-Moi »

La Bronze

Nouvel album Vis-Moi

Disponible chez Audiogram / The Orchard

Pour son nouvel album

Vis-Moi

93FEETOFSMOKE shares his new video « Fucked Over » feat phem and tosh the drummer

93FEETOFSMOKE feat phem and tosh the drummer

New video « Fucked Over »

Spotify

The visuals highlight the frustration and angst of getting blindsided by someone’s intentions and features

93FEETOFSMOKE and phem

reenacting the storyline in a 90s style music video complete with colorful DIY animation.

For as much as 93FEETOFSMOKE fits into the curious corners of the internet where memes double as gospel, he’s just as at home on the D.I.Y. stage of a sweat-soaked underground gig IRL. The Virginia-born and Oregon-based singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist could’ve easily materialized in the late nineties, but his movement actually bubbled up in 2014—and it quietly boiled over by the time he signed to Photo Finish Records eight years later. With hundreds of millions of streams and plays, a rabid following, and acclaim from

Earmilk

,

Elevator Magazine

, and more, he shocks his vison to life like never before on his 2022 full-length debut album,

GOODGRIEF

.

“It’s a big twist of culture,” he explains. “My music is the intersection of skateboarding, fashion, the

Crunk

-era, and pop punk. It’s all uncut and unfiltered. I’m not trying to control everything and make it perfect and pristine. It’s a less-perfect vision of everything. It’s important for me to allow things to be the way they are. It’s real.”

In third grade, he picked up a $99 starter guitar with a tiny little amp, but he wasn’t trying

“to read ‘Let It Be’ on freaking sheet music

.

He eventually joined jazz band in junior high as he managed to get kicked out of various local groups because he

“didn’t want to stick to the script

.

So, he skateboarded a lot. While in college, he fell into the underground club scene in North Carolina, embracing drum and bass and teaching himself Ableton. He initially produced for friends before adding his own vocals. Countless shows followed as did a cult audience.

“I was just yelling my head off over loud 808s and weird beats

,

he states.

“Because people showed up, it gave me the confidence to keep going

.

Gaining traction, he crafted “eighteen” for Lil Lotus as well as various tracks for shinigami, family pet, Guardin, and more. Simultaneously, he dropped solo outings such as

2k16 Pack

,

2k17 Pack

,

2k18 Pack

, and the fan favorite

BUMMER

, including “PPL THT I LUV THE MOST.” Meanwhile, he joined forces with Savage Ga$p for the 2020 banger “Pumpkins Scream In the Dead of Night” [feat. shinigami], exploding with 67.4 million Spotify streams and 10 million cumulative YouTube views. Following

SOFUBI

,

he just further harnessed the power of the chaos at the heart of his signature sound.

“I came up in the hip-hop scene,” he elaborates. “The vision of 93FEETOFSMOKE was very influenced by that. There are guitars, but it’s not suburban white boy band music. It comes from different experiences. It’s honest.”That honesty defines his 2022 single “FUCKED OVER” [feat. Phem & Tosh The Drummer]. Punk-y guitar creaks underneath emotionally charged vocals as he proclaims,

“I’m pretty good at getting fucked over, I’m pretty good at drawing: straws shortest

,

before an ecstatic bass-boosted beat booms. On its heels,

Earmilk

christened him

“an artist on the rise with an eclectic, out-of-the-box taste for music and a progressive, genre-fluid sound to match

.

“I was lying in bed one night, and I came up with the hook,” he recalls. “When Phem and Tosh got on

‘FUCKED OVER

,

it turned into something way bigger. Lyrically, it’s on-the-nose and simple. You’ve gotten blindsided and fucked over. Every single person in the world goes through it. I’m tapping into the moment and feeling.”Meanwhile, “ALL I EVER WANTED” bleeds out cathartic lyrics over gentle acoustic strumming as he pleads,

“I think I ran out of luck, could you please just give a fuck?”

I felt like I’d gotten all I ever wanted, but why am I not happy?” he ponders. “It was written to be consciously straightforward.”

The title

GOODGRIEF

sums up the duality at the core of 93FEETOFSMOKE.“My grandma used to always say,

‘Oh Jiminy Cricket’, good grief’

,” he reveals. “On one hand, it’s an ode to her. It’s nostalgic, because it reminds me of my childhood, but it also speaks to the project. Thematically, it deals with grief, but it’s also positive. The grief is good, because you’re getting over pain. Art is something very spiritual. You sing these words, and a crowd chants them back to you. It’s a ritual. I’m trying to manifest positivity in this ritual.”

In the end, 93FEETOFSMOKE is unlike anything you’ve heard in any era, and that’s why he connects. “I hope the sound is always unexpected and fresh,” he leaves off. “At the same time, this is the most evolved and mature version of 93FEETOFSMOKE. It’s everything I’ve been working towards.”

Lucy Wroe shares her new EP « Same World »

Lucy Wroe

New EP « Same World »

Same World

explores the passion of a new relationship, the complexity of commitment and how this drives us towards

self-reflection

.

London based singer-songwriter and performer, Lucy Wroe has been developing her sound as a musician since the age of 10, when she first learnt how to play the guitar. Blossoming with poised vocals, groovy drum rhythm and whimsical charm, Wroe’s naturally laid-back sound is best described as jazz-infused indie-pop.

Following her debut release in 2020, Wroe’s songwriting has really taken shape, by combining the melodic work from early female songwriters and the modern jazz and electronic production of Lianne La Havas and Jessie Ware; painting in new colours to establish her exclusive sound.

Backed by a drummer, bassist and guitarist, the Winchester born artist explores the passion of a new relationship, the complexity of commitment and how this drives us towards self-reflection. The new EP

Same World

represents a whole relationship. The title track “Same World” explores the passionate, physical beginnings, where a relationship is just skin deep. “Far Too High” becomes a complete emotional investment, almost an obsession. By “Closer To Home”, there is hesitancy, and a slow realisation that you’ve become a different person in order to be with another. Finally we reach a moment of self-reflection in “Want You Back”, where it becomes clear that the partnership was only ever going to be physical and temporary.

Wroe expresses, “Since I can remember, I’ve had this strange yearning really deep inside me like a well that I can’t fill, and over the years I’ve just pushed it further down. It regularly surfaces through my lyrics which is why this EP has focused on making a very special and deep connection, then realising that it just isn’t what you need”.

Despite numerous lockdowns, Wroe has felt a spark of productivity over the last few years, with 2022 seeing her continue to flourish as the world reopens.

Sea Glass shares his new single “Elevator Chat”

Sea Glass

New single “Elevator Chat”

Spotify

“Elevator Chat” is a song which touches on the feeling of needing to get something off your chest, yet knowing you won’t be able to do yourself justice in verbalizing it.

Blending classic songwriting and modern indie production, Sea Glass is the project of Brooklyn-based producer Jake Muskat. Sea Glass composes and produces unique songs, featuring guest vocalists to create a cohesive sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. Inspired to release music after the birth of his first child, Sea Glass’s music taps into universal emotions around growing up and dreaming.

Welcoming listeners into his indie, dream pop world, Sea Glass’s music features an amalgam of influences from the laid-back, hypnotic feel of Toro Y Moi, to the crisp guitar tones of The Strokes. Emitting an overall thought-provoking emotion and captivating ambience, Sea Glass sucks you into his universe, holding you hostage till the very end.

Following the release of “New Romans” the artist shares “Elevator Chat,” a song which touches on the feeling of needing to get something off your chest, yet knowing you won’t be able to do yourself justice in verbalizing it. He shares, “It’s the feeling of wanting to get into something with someone, but having not enough time or patience to fully get there.” Featuring vocals from Benét, Sea Glass continues “The addition of Benét’s vocals helped expand on that theme, with their interpretation of not wanting to get into it with someone because your mind’s been made up. Their lyrics, to me, offer the perfect counterpoint to mine, highlighting the other side of a conversation.”

“Elevator Chat” sees the first time the artist showcases his own vocals, layering harmonies to create a depth and warmth to the chilled-out release. Twinkling melodies, a steady, plodding beat and ethereal vocals from Benét give a juxtaposed, feel-good atmosphere to the somber lyrics.

Sea Glass has been praised by the likes of

Indie Shuffle, WFUV, Record of the Day, Variance Magazine, The Wild Honey Pie

, and

Glide Magazine

, among others.

caitlynne curtis shares her new single i will survive

Caitlynne Curtis shares her new single « I Will Survive »

Caitlynne Curtis

New single « I Will Survive »

Spotify

Entitled « I Will Survive », the song is an autobiographical narrative of Curtis transforming her life for the better and finding newfound purpose in being a mom to her new son. « I would say it’s about my son who showed me I have more to live for than I thought and I’m so thankful for him showing me what a life of happiness is. »

« I Will Survive » is a perfect anthem for National Women’s Month, the meaning is clear- women make impactful change as mothers, daughters, entrepreneurs, artists, sisters, wives, friends, role models and more.

Caitlynne Curtis started singing when she was 3 years old. She fondly remembers, « I used to sing to my grandma. » When she was 6 her mom put her in voice lessons. The minute she got her first solo she said, « It’s like I knew from then on that music is what I wanted to do. » Her parents moved her whole family down to Nashville from Massachusetts when she was twelve so that she could pursue music. After receiving a heartbreaking rejection from X Factor at the tender age of 16, Caitlynne thought she blew her chance at being a singer, but she never really gave up. Her life took a detour when she had her son at 19. Selling cars to support herself and her son, she would record covers of songs to her Instagram as a small way to keep her dream alive. Fortunately, the stars aligned and the right person came along to change everything. Now, thirteen years after moving to Nashville, Caitlynne is realizing her dream. Signed to Angels & Outlaws, an independent label spearheaded by rapper Struggle Jennings, she released her first full length album early in 2021. Her latest single « I Will Survive » is an autobiographical narrative of Curtis transforming her life for the better and finding newfound purpose in being a mom to her new son.

Electric Blue Cats

1er album Electric Blue Cats

Sortie le 15/03/2022

Electric Blue Cats

Cool vibes only ! A ne pas rater en live !
