Le confinement en plus d’une période personnelle compliquée, poussent Thiaé à

se recentrer et à renouer avec ses désirs les plus profonds. Créer sa propre musique et la partager. Vient alors la naissance de son Ep « Elle était une fois » qui devient son projet le plus abouti selon elle.

Composé de 6 titres, les chansons retracent le cheminement intérieur d’une jeune femme à travers une histoire d’Amour. Entre ses espoirs, ses joies et ses

désillusions. L’Ep s’inspire de différents courants musicaux qui la caractérise (Afro/Tropical/Hip-Hop/Variété/Rnb) mais reste globalement sous une couleur Pop Urbaine.

Thiaé est une artiste française originaire de Madagascar. Née le 10 août 1988 près de la capitale malgache. Elle quitte son pays natal à l’âge de 5 ans, pour partir vivre avec sa mère en Afrique Centrale, au Gabon. Elle y restera jusqu’à ses 15 ans pour finalement atterrir en province française à Toulouse, région qu’elle ne quittera plus depuis.

Passionnée de chant et de danse depuis son plus jeune âge, le désir d’en faire un jour son métier devient évident pour elle. Elle enchaînera les spectacles et les concours de chant durant toute son adolescence. Thiaé fera également quelques apparitions dans des émissions télés malgaches et gabonaises.

Après quelques essais de sortie single, dont notamment le titre « In da flow » écrit par Jack Robinson à l’origine du tube planétaire « Love to love » de Tina Charles, qui ne bénéficiera pas de véritables débouchés à la hauteur de ses espérances.

Elle laissera un peu de côté sa passion pendant une courte période, à l’entrée de l’âge adulte, pour pouvoir subvenir à ses besoins. Mais l’amour pour la musique étant plus fort si non vital, le chemin des studios d’enregistrements et les spotlights de la scène redeviennent son quotidien. Elle exerce le métier de chanteuse depuis plusieurs années maintenant.

The track is an autobiographical one for Remar who confides « I felt seriously stuck, sidetracked from my purpose. My reality had become so skewed and I’d grown into someone I wasn’t really proud of at all. My focus had insidiously shifted into staying fame adjacent.it all ended quite abruptly, ties were cut off and I was completely drained over trying so desperately hard to seem like I wasn’t trying hard at all. The song is about being unexpectedly plucked into the lives of others just to be discarded like fast fashion or a happy meal toy. »

Inspired by artists such as Lauv, Julia Michaels and John Mayer and with a Taylor Swift-esque style, Keeping has gained global attention, travelling to Singapore, Ireland and the USA to lend her writing skills to other artists. After receiving an allied response from fans and critics for some of her previous releases, and gaining close to a million views on TikTok over the pandemic, Keeping felt inspired to start focusing on her own music as an artist.

“I’m not looking for a friend” is the vibey new single exploring situationships and self-confidence. With influences from electro-pop producer Zedd shining through, the liberating track is flushed with airy, uplifting melodies and playful synths, creating a dance-worthy, sing-along anthem. “It’s about being clear on what you want and intentional about going after it. It recognises that friendships can gradually develop into something more, and this process can be complicated and confusing, but you can’t sit in that space forever – eventually you have to make a decision either way.” In modern dating, we can get so preoccupied with acting cool and casual, and not wanting to show our hand, however the new track challenges people to be more intentional and open about what they want.

Fusing together Deep, Organic, Old School and Nu-disco House, all with an undercurrent of Funk and classic Disco, the duo dig up old sonic memories from their audience and build it into a new one.

Intro to Music Theory is the project of musicians, DJs, and producers Matt Waters and Matthew Busch. The Southern-California born and Hainan-based duo have racked up a plethora of experience in a multitude of genres- first in the classical, jazz and freelance world in the United States, and later as electronic artists and producers in China. They first performed together in Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps as teenagers. The two reunited almost a decade later in 2017, when they simultaneously moved to Hainan, China to teach university-level music.

In 2020, they released their debut EP,

, an eclectic mix of house and instrumental-fusion. comes through with a hefty glitchy bass that cannot be ignored through their impressive debut single, ‘Can’t Have It’, coming out today (4th March) on various music platforms.

The edgy Drum and Bass – esque arrangement is honey glazed with soothing soulful vocals, questioning of undesirable actions of a lover.

A serendipitous musical relationship that was formed out of mutual respect for Reggae, Hip-Hop and rare groove, 5 Weeks consists of singer Alexandria and Darren Outbreak who cites array of artists such as Barrington Levy, Anita Baker, Soul 2 Soul, Mos Def, Anderson Paak, Gwen Guthrie, DJ Premier as their musical influences.

Being brought up in a musical family, many influences came from her mum being in a reggae sound system in the seventies and eighties, Alexandria has been singing and songwriting from a young age who was later picked by Sony for a publishing deal.

Darren began DJing at a very early age, getting his first club residency at 15. Starting out in electronic music, he broadened his horizons over the years with many genres in the musical landscape.

As well as sharing their love for the aforementioned genres, the duo admired how original material has influenced music in general over the past few decades and how modern artists have utilised those sound in their own productions.
