Comment continuer à célébrer en 2022 ? Cette question, Shaga comme toute sa génération se la pose. Sans jamais tomber dans le défaitisme : à rebours du cynisme ambiant, ce chanteur-rappeur-compositeur originaire de Paris développe depuis trois années maintenant une musique douce amère pour chanter de ce qui l’anime au fond de lui, de l’amour à la peine, en passant par les excès et les moments de joie.

Passionné de musique depuis son plus jeune âge, Romain Van Bloeme tombe d’abord à l’adolescence dans les guitares de Nirvana, des Strokes, ou de Supertramp, fondant même un groupe de rock dont il deviendra le leader jusqu’à ses premières années de fac. Avec le temps pourtant, ses inspirations s’ouvrent : les albums Man On The Moon de Kid Cudi passant par là, le jeune parisien découvre que l’on peut mélanger une multitude de sonorités tout en racontant son vécu. Ce sera le point de départ de sa carrière solo, sous le nom de Shaga en 2018 : après s’être lancé à la production sur son ordinateur dans sa chambre d’étudiant en Erasmus à Prague puis lors d’un stage dans un label de musique au Cambodge, il revient à Paris avec la ferme intention de se présenter au monde en solo. Ce sera d’abord le cas avec Eros (2018), une première mixtape sur le thème de l’amour, sur le court EP Kérosène (2019) et enfin avec Rien à Fêter, nouveau projet qui marque un virage dans le début de carrière de l’artiste parisien.

Composées ces deux dernières années dans le studio de Yoan Oddfellow à Montreuil, les neufs nouvelles chansons de Shaga semblent revêtir une nouvelle couleur par rapport à ce qu’il a pu présenter auparavant. Plus assurée, riche musicalement, et introspective, la musique du Parisien fait passer un cap aux ambitions de son auteur : entre rap, musique électronique et chanson, Rien à Fêter présente toute l’étendue des qualités de compositeur de Shaga tout en nous plongeant un peu plus dans le creux de ses pensées. Des tourments que lui causent l’amour (“Pyromane”, duo ardent avec la chanteuse Kalika, “Jaloux”) en passant par ses angoisses nocturnes (“Interlude (Bad Trip)”) ou ses moments de joie à travers la fête (“Un Tour”, “Maria”) Shaga dresse sans le vouloir le portrait d’une génération à la fois ambitieuse et paumée, optimiste et à la fois préoccupée par son avenir, curieuse de savoir ce que le futur lui promet tout en gardant un oeil sur les embûches qu’il lui réserve.

À la fois libre et ouverte aux autres, introspective et mélancolique par touches, la musique de Shaga sur Rien à Fêter nous ouvre finalement les portes des questionnements d’un jeune artiste qui commence à trouver sa place dans un monde qui nous dépasse par moments. Pas étonnant donc qu’un certain Gringe, présent en featuring sur le morceau “Goutte D’Eau” (une collaboration née d’une rencontre humaine et personelle forte entre les deux artistes) vienne poser sa voix en fin d’EP pour évoquer sa quête de sens perpétuelle, au grès des cigarettes consumées et des insomnies. Si les générations ne sont pas les mêmes entre les deux artistes, les questionnements ne cessent eux de rester similaires : comment continuer à avancer dans une époque qui semble parfois difficile à appréhender ? Sans doute en écoutant les conseils de Shaga dans sa musique : en célébrant, même si il n’y a – en apparence en tout cas – rien à fêter.

Bino will release his debut EP in January 2023 and “Wake ‘Em Up” is the second single on the EP. A powerful song about shifting your mindset, HoodTrophy Bino calls upon his past struggles to help guide him in accomplishing his dreams today.

“You can wake up on different levels,” says Bino about the song and video. “You can become woke about your life – how you want it to be, instead of how it keeps crashing out of control.” The video shows Bino thrashing in bed, having a nightmare. Past excesses torment him, but he finds himself living the life he had always dreamed of – a gorgeous girlfriend (played by K.Shiday), a lit luxury beach house in Marina Del Rey, and close friends celebrating his new house, lifestyle, and accomplishments.

Bino is still striving to reach this dream – he began life in poverty with seven brothers and sisters (thirteen counting step-siblings) where they would sleep in hotels with two beds, a couch, and his mom and step-dad on the floor. “I had nothing growing up,” recalls Bino. “Trauma became an everyday part of my life. My pops is serving a life sentence in San Quentin. My best friend growing up was kidnapped and executed when I was 17.”

K. Shiday lends her voice to the single with sheer magnetism and effortless, charismatic flow. Resonating deeply with the song’s message, the artist confides, “I am rebranding myself. Los Angeles based rapper HoodTrophy Bino (Tadashi Sayres) creates empowering music about overcoming hardships and leveling up in life. Raised by a single mother in a house with fourteen brothers and sisters under one roof in Palmdale, California and later the crime ridden projects of South Central LA, HoodTrophy Bino (“Bino”) succumbed

to the

gang life that surrounded him. Finding an important outlet in music when violence surrounded him, Bino began rapping himself – first being exposed to freestyle through his older brother.

Due to gang involvement and a father serving a life-sentence in San Quentin, Bino began repeating a doomed path that found him circulating in and out of jail. During one of his short stints, he met Soulja Boy who was also serving time. The two developed a friendship after Bino wrote him a letter and gave him a bag of Hot Cheetos. Shortly after his release from jail, Big Draco reached out and signed Bino to his S.O.D.M.G. (Stacks on Deck Money Gang) label having been impressed by his determination and musical talent. Venturing into the studio soon after, they recorded their first song “Racing In Traffic” in 2021.

Bino’s music discusses his life and what he’s been through; from hard-hitting bangers like “Thuggin” to melodic, soulful ballads, like “Project Baby.” Bino’s single “Dripped in Designer” was released in 2021 featuring Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em. Le Roi Angus est un groupe d’indie-pop rock genevois. Martin, alias Casimir M. Les influences liminaires sont intergénérationnelles mais la scène californienne néo-psychédélique semble le point d’accroche.

Hailing from the Lone Star state of Texas, born and raised in Houston, Coline Creuzot, a singer/songwriter has an astonishing voice. Coline fell in love with the arts at a young age and always knew she was destined for greatness. If it isn’t her dynamic personality or her creative drive, Coline’s angelic voice and her passion for music is captivating. Coline started off performing at local competitions and continued to write and sing throughout her high school and college career.

Coline is not only an incredible voice, but also a scholar. After the singer/songwriter turned boss woman completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management at Hampton University, she decided to move back to Houston to pursue music full time. During this time and while experiencing the growing pains of life, detailed in many of her autobiographical songs, Coline was introduced to Happy Perez, a fellow Houstonian and producer who has worked with Miguel, Mariah Carey and Frank Ocean to name a few. They collaborated on a song called, ‘Give and Take’, that went on to become an immediate hit. ‘Give and Take’ climbed all the way to number 1 on the Houston Radio Charts. The success of the song granted Coline opportunities to open for some amazing artists such as Drake, Keyshia Cole, Monica, Tank to name a few. She later attracted a publishing deal with EMI (now Sony ATV).

Coline continued to grow as an artist and writer expanding her portfolio. Named “an artist at the forefront” by Ebony Magazine, in 2016 Coline’s single ‘Truth Is’ peaked at number 24 on Billboard’s Urban A/C charts. Coline’s music has been recognized by several blogs and magazines such as Vibe Magazine, Pynk Magazine and Singersroom, critics praised her for her writing ability and solid resume working with some of H-Town’s hottest artists such as Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Z-Ro and Paul Wall.

Coline made the jump to Los Angeles to pursue her artistry full time. Known for her strong soulful pipes and lyrical storytelling, Coline pays homage to old-school R&B with a relevant swagger which she showcased in 2017 at the Essence Festival debuting on the « For the Love of R&B » stage. Social Drag is a ‘90s rock inspired, original project from singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Emily Hulslander. As frontwoman of the project, Hulslander is the sole songwriter and producer, enlisting various members of the Los Angeles musical community to round out the line up for live shows and studio recordings. L’ensemble Loco Cello composé de François Salque (violoncelle), Samuel Strouk (guitare) et Jérémie Arranger (contrebasse) repart pour de nouvelles aventures avec la sortie de Tangorom le 03 février 2023. On retrouve sur ce second album de Loco Cello deux invités de marque : Biréli Lagrène et Adrien Moignard.

L’album Tangorom est une promesse de voyage de l’Argentine à l’Europe de l’Est, en passant par le jazz manouche et la musique classique. La boussole a perdu le nord depuis que Loco Cello a décidé de redessiner la carte du monde sur ses partitions, comme le prouve ce deuxième album passe-murailles.

Tissant des liens étroits entre la musique classique, le jazz, et les musiques du monde, Loco Cello nous ensorcelle avec sa palette sonore colorée, contrastée, et sensuelle, servie par une sonorité de groupe hors du commun, captée par Philippe Tessier du Cros à l’Abbaye de Noirlac.

À l’occasion du 70e anniversaire de la mort de Django Reinhardt, Loco Cello propose une éclaircie salvatrice en célébrant, avec audace et originalité, une autre facette de Django : celle de son jeu lyrique à travers sa passion de la musique classique. Tangorom navigue d’Astor Piazzolla à Django, en passant par la musique de chambre et les musiques d’Europe de l’Est. Une folle odyssée sonore.

Enregistré à l’abbaye de Noirlac, Tangorom, le nouvel album de Loco Cello, voyage d’Astor Piazzolla à Django Reinhardt, en passant par la musique de chambre et les musiques d’Europe de l’Est.

Pour ce deuxième opus, Loco Cello a invité Adrien Moignard et Biréli Lagrène. Imaginez une partie de ping-pong, en double : d’un côté, un duo classique sur le papier, crossover dans les idées, avec Samuel Strouk et François Salque ; en face, les gâchettes gypsy jazz Adrien Moignard et Bireli Lagrène, soutenus par Jérémie Arranger.

Le résultat ? Des jeux de saute-frontières, croisant le fer et le nylon, le lyrisme et le swing, l’écriture et l’improvisation. Avec ces cinq fantastiques, il n’y pas que le cello qui est loco !

Il fallait un écrin de rêve et de silence pour accueillir ce quintet à cordes sensibles. Une retraite pour se recentrer. C’est à l’abbaye de Noirlac, un bijou de l’architecture cistercienne datant du XIIe siècle, qu’a été enregistré ce second album, avec Philippe Tessier Du Cros à la réalisation. Réverbération naturelle, sans effets fake ni micmacs de machine, écho de cathédrale, Tangorom est affaire de résonance.
