Song form of the phrases… if they wanted to they would & he’s just not that into you, » proclaims Stalking Gia. Featuring lush acoustic guitars, bouncy warm basslines and honey-layered vocals, « obviously… » is a reflective exploration of new relations.

Stalking Gia is a New York City based artist and platinum selling songwriter. Generating more than 20 million streams and receiving acclaim from Billboard, Noisey, Marie Claire, Nylon and more, the singer/songwriter materializes like a specter in the space between online fantasy and Manhattan’s real-life nocturnal glow.

Stalking Gia first came to life via the 2016 single « Second Nature ». Achieving viral success, the track organically tallied 13.2 million Spotify streams and incited a growing buzz. blackbear integrated a sample of “Second Nature” into « Wish U The Best » from his platinum-certified chart-topping 2017 album, Digital Druglord. Meanwhile, she maintained her momentum with the single « Siren ». In addition to touring alongside blackbear, she teamed up with him for the song « Miracles », which landed on New Music Friday playlists worldwide and amassed 4.7 million streams and counting.

Stalking Gia then partnered with Epic Records on releases including « The Kindest Thing », a bombastic goodbye anthem, « Astronaut », a Bowie inspired piano ballad, « Worship », an empowering song exploring the theme of self love, and « Blue », her most recent track, which pulls the listener into another world with ethereal soundscapes and a static buzz from a lost connection.

Stalking Gia is now embarking on a new journey and is back to independently self releasing her music. With a recent Tiktok of a demo gaining momentum she released “saddest happy girl”; a song which samples the famous nursery rhyme “Clementine” in its chorus to much acclaim. Née à Montréal et basée à New York, Mimo représente et incarne l’essence de la côte est. La vidéo qui accompagne la chanson sorti le mardi 11 octobre, a été réalisé par Shuyan Li de Awkward Handshake. L’esprit joueur est mis en scène dans une réelle aire de jeux, où les couleurs chaudes se mêlent à une performance animée. Mimo flotte entre rap et chant, en s’amusant candidement dans le parc. Un parallèle entre l’envie de prendre les romances à la légère et les voir comme un jeu : des plaisirs passagers.

Touché par la force des mots de Kim-Thuy, Sylvain Tardiveau, réalisateur pour Shakaponk ou Skunk Anansie, a sublimé CROP dans un clip époustouflant porté par la performance exceptionnelle des danseurs Clara Duflo et Romain Franco, dont la chorégraphie sauvage et maîtrisée raconte les violences sexuelles.

Après Je crois que je pense à toi et son clip déjanté, puis son featuring sur Créature du projet Diligence, Julo Bocher nous présente son nouveau single Demain j’arrête déjà disponible sur toutes les plateformes.

Avec ce titre French pop aux sonorités seventies, Julo Bocher nous parle d’amour impossible. Parfois on délaisse ceux qui nous font du bien, on devient fou d’amour pour ceux qui nous font mal… et on finit par se consumer comme une vieille cigarette. Mais on arrête quand on veut, n’est ce pas ?!

Le clip, réalisé par le duo Bastien Dupré / Fabien Faure, nous emmène dans un tango moderne au cœur des passions amoureuses et des addictions sonores et affectives.

Demain j’arrête est le 3e extrait du EP Popsychomane de Julo Bocher à paraitre en novembre prochain.

Julo Bocher, on l’entend souvent à la radio et à la télé. Dans les pubs, les bandes annonces, les doublages… Une voix familière et chaleureuse qu’on aime écouter. Mais ce quadra patiné cache un vieux secret. Adolescent, il se détourne de sa passion musicale suite à un événement familial. Pendant deux décennies, il s’évertue à rattraper le temps perdu, mais se laisse emporter par le TGV de la vie.

Certes son parcours tourne autour de la musique (boite de prod de clip, médias musicaux, création de radio), mais il ne parvient pas lui-même à faire le grand saut.

En 2022, enfin le déclic ! Un divorce, un covid, et un chagrin d’amour plus tard… il n’a tout simplement plus le choix. Après avoir dit et chanté les mots des autres, sa musique le rattrape. Julo reprend la parole et le micro et nous fait enfin partager sa vision.

Tantôt en douceur, souvent sans retenue, il nous livre sa pop-oésie sans filtre et sans règles. Entre désillusions et optimisme malicieux, le second degré flirte avec la réalité brute. La musique de Julo c’est comme la vie, parfois c’est fun, et parfois c’est sensible. Mais en tous cas, ça fait du bien.

Fils indigne des années 80, tendance Rita Mitsouko, Julo Bocher nous évoque tantôt la pop de Julien Doré ou Biolay, parfois les facéties de Philippe Katerine. Sa voix singulière rappelle Daho coté pop, Daniel Darc coté rock.

Mais on aime à ne pas le classer, et puis de toutes façons, sa voix, vous la connaissez déjà…

“A Lighthouse is a beacon that lights up a rocky, unsafe shoreline. Our hearts can shine through the darkness and light the way.” says Tai Shan. “It was written in pieces in the wee hours of the morning, while I nursed my infant daughter.” Tai sang the song as a lullaby at first but also to reassure herself everything would be ok. Tai and her husband and musical partner, Austin raised their daughter in Nashville with no local help through the pandemic.

From a bedroom lullaby, the song was then polished, retuned and rewritten five times based on the suggestions from hit songwriter Jason Bloom who has written songs for Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys and Collin Raye. Tai then hired producer Pal Sheldon (Kyle Cox, Emily West, Fit for Rivals, and scoring credits on

Blue Planet)

for the song. Together, they fused Pop and Acoustic Folk driven elements with a tempo that keeps you dancing.

Roseburg forms the alt-rock fused musical project of Zach Knell, Samuel Sheppard (YesterKid), Keith Lambson (Dryggs) and Soren Buchert. In reference to the place itself, the quartet formed in Roseburg, Oregon, and now reside in Utah, as they continue to bring their anthemic energy to listeners around the globe.

In December of 2016, Knell and Sheppard were both serving as missionaries in the small town of Roseburg. The night they met they wrote the beginnings of what became the band’s second single « Identity Prices ». The two continued communicating via handwritten letters (mission rules) for the remainder of their service, forming plans to start a band when they returned home. Since then, they’ve formed their fundamental sound and likened musical persona into an adrenalised, alternative rock sensation.

Breaking a two and a half year silence with “Alice”, their new single has truly stood the test of time. Written by Knell when he was 16- years old, they confide, “We felt the innocence of it was a perfect way to come back to this band after our 2-year-hiatus. All of our new music is meant to feel familiar.” Bustling with their reverberating vibrancy, Roseburg’s new single highlights the very best of their repertoire to date. Cristóvam is a singer/songwriter from Portugal. Born amongst the deep blue of the Atlantic and the lush green of the beautiful Azores islands, Cristóvam’s music shines with a warmth that you won’t find anywhere else. Growing up, Cristóvam was surrounded by music everywhere he’d turn – his grandfather was a true radio pioneer who started the second oldest radio of the Atlantic and left behind a massive record collection, which Cristóvam would regularly lose himself in.

His love for organic singer/songwriters such as Ethan Johns, Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne and indie folk artists including Angus & Julia Stone and Bon Iver is what inspires his music today. Blending these two worlds together, Cristóvam hopes to create something that is both authentic and raw, but with a modern twist.

Brimming with euphony, he is soaring back into the scene with his new album Songs on a Wire, a twelve-track offering showcasing the very best of Cristóvam’s creativity. In a realm of reflection, his new record highlights key moments from the last two years of his life. He confides, “These were times where I dealt with a lot of different things, from the loneliness of the pandemic which was a bit intensified by the fact that I live in a small and remote island, to other happy things like getting married, getting signed or having my music going viral and reaching so many people and, on to of all that, this sort of big feeling that I was actually starting my life.”

Focus track “Ferris Wheel” is a tune that will put a spring in anyone’s step, Cristóvam consolidates his status as an exceptional talent. He shares, « When you write songs, if you’re lucky, once in a while you write something that you are confident you’ll want to play forever. I think Ferris Wheel is one of those songs for me. I had a first sketch of the song and I showed it to Tim Hart, who ended up co-writing the rest of the lyrics with me. » His echoic vocal energy flourishes alongside charismatic choruses and flowing melodies to create a tune that escalates with hope. Cristóvam continues, « I feel like the subject of these lyrics is a fragile one. This is a song that speaks about loving someone with bipolar disorder, about the almost transparent and thin line that determines how far you can go in trying to help someone without ending up with a burden that wasn’t your own. We’ve all seen emotionally balanced people fall into the abyss of depression, because they tried too hard to save someone who in the end, didn’t want to be saved. This is a song about sometimes having to choose your own mental health and letting go of battles that aren’t your own. »

Cristóvam continues to build momentum across his repertoire and has seen great success, having won first prize in the “Unsigned Only” category for the International Songwriting Competition 2018. The judging panel featured the likes of Tom Waits, Keane, Bastille and Lorde, among many others. Cristóvam has also won two International Portuguese Music Awards (Pop Performance and Song of the Year). With these impressive accolades under his belt and streaming numbers hitting the millions, there’s no doubt Cristóvam is going to continue to triumph in the coming year!
