Ce dernier, figure incontestable de la French Touch, avait fondé avec son ami d’enfance Guy-Manuel des Daft Punk le label Crydamoure (1997), sur lequel on retrouve un bon nombre de classiques dancefloor de la French House.

Ces dernières années, le couple s’attelle a un nouveau projet musical romantique autour de Mélanie, pour lequel la multi-instrumentiste s’allie avec le regretté et légendaire batteur Tony Allen, qui en 2017, trois ans avant sa disparition, participe aux sessions de ce qui constituera un concept album à venir aux influences gainsbouriennes, à mi-chemin entre talk-over et poésie érotique.

Le multi-instrumentiste, producteur et auteur-compositeur Amtrac sort « Extra Time », un titre hypnotique et conceptuel, pièce maîtresse de son prochain projet. Cette sortie fait suite à sa récente tournée américaine avec Bob Moses, dont il a assuré la première partie pendant 22 dates à travers l’Amérique du Nord, sa collaboration avec Diplo et Leon Bridges « High Rise », et à la sortie de son single « Domino » avec son collaborateur Future Islands / Samuel T. Herring.

Amtrac déclare à propos du morceau : « Si on vous donnait un ‘Extra Time’, comment l’utiliseriez-vous ? Perdez-vous dans ce paysage sonore qui laisse beaucoup de place à l’imagination. »

L’artiste, DJ, producteur, remixeur, multi-instrumentiste et fondateur d’Openers, né dans le Kentucky et basé à Los Angeles, a fait ses débuts officiels sur la scène en 2011 avec son album acclamé ‘Came Along’. Cet album a propulsé le natif de Morehead, KY, Caleb Cornett, à la pointe de la musique électronique. Dans son sillage, il a amassé un catalogue désormais acclamé, mêlant des son origanaux et des remixes.

L’artiste aux multiples talents sait aussi bien électriser un public, que ce soit avec une performance musicale en direct ou en faisant transpirer les pistes de danse avec ses DJ sets entraînants mais remplis de funk. Ne se contentant jamais de s’installer, l’humeur et les influences musicales d’Amtrac changent au fil des saisons. Natalie Shay is an indie-pop artist hailing from North London. The multi-award-winning musician has established an ever-growing presence and loyal fanbase through her explosive live performances and unforgettable anthems, recognising her as one of the UK’s hottest emerging talents. With indie synth pop leanings and ferocious guitar playing, Shay’s references range from Haim and Taylor Swift to Little Comets. Her relatable lyrics touch on love, self-discovery and the everyday experiences of a twenty-something.

Combining her youthful and charismatic aura with her classical training and time spent at the prestigious BRIT School, Shay has finessed the ability to produce undeniably catchy music, whilst maintaining musical maturity. Soaring back into the scene with her highly anticipated EP MILK, Shay’s dynamic abilities continue to flourish. Inspired by the theme of growth, MILK makes reference to the lyrics “Milk Teeth” in “Good Girl Behaviour”. Shay confides, “Every track is about growth or new beginnings or reflecting on myself, in particular, heaven and outgrow. I always write from the heart and from my own experiences and stories. My whole aim with lyricism is to connect with others who are in that frame of mind now or have been there in the past to relate.”

Toronto-bred, UK-based singer/songwriter Melissa Bel transcends musical eras and genres with a voice that is timelessly soulful, yet distinctly fresh. She creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of singer-songwriter-pop, bringing intricate narratives to life with heartfelt lyrics, enchanting melodies, and indelible hooks. Armed with the influences of Eva Cassidy, John Mayer, and The Beatles in her subconscious, her soon-to-be-released EP Alone Time offers listeners a moment for self-reflection.

Produced by Kaity Rae (The Shires, Liv Dawson, Natalie Shay), Alone Time is a collection of six tracks exploring themes of solitude, anxiety, dreaming and growth, with an overarching sense of hope weaving its way throughout. The wheels for the project started turning after Bel and Rae met during a virtual writing camp in the pinnacle of Lockdown, and their creative chemistry was instant. Taking to their respective home-studios, they worked mostly via Zoom to bring the project to life, forming an EP that would go on to be mixed by Jamie Sellers (Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Ronan Keating).

Setting the tone with lead single “Better In the Morning”, Bel reassures the listener (and herself) that things are going to be ok, with the title Alone Time offering an influential ode to the global pandemic. Finding familiar comfort in nature, she confides, “I spent lots of time walking in the countryside and I would come up with lyrics and concepts, or tweak ones we already had. I recorded the birdsong and some other nature samples that you hear throughout the EP on a couple of my walks, and went back to one of my favourite spots in the woods to shoot the artwork for « Better In the Morning.” It’s Bel’s hope that Alone Time accentuates the importance of slowing down, spending time in nature and appreciating the fleeting moments we have with our loved ones.

Throughout her career, Melissa Bel has performed across the world stage, opening for artists such as Kylie Minogue and Maverick Sabre. She co-wrote Avril Lavigne’s 2018 single “Tell Me It’s Over” and achieved a Top 10 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts with her song “If She Hadn’t Lied ». Garnering airplay on BBC Radio, her music received humbling support from Apple Music, Amazon Music Canada, BBC Introducing across Surrey and Sussex, and even a no.1 spot on CIBL 101.5 Radio in Montreal. Garnering substantial TikTok support, it’s safe to say Melissa Bel is onto something huge.

Juls is a pop singer/songwriter from Connecticut, who is creating a world radiating with starry eyes, ocean blues and true love. Her love for music began at just eight years old, when her dad built a stage in the basement for Juls and her sister. Instantly recognizing that performing and singing was her calling, Juls shares, “My sister Jacqs was my presenter, and I was the star of the show, prancing onto the stage in my sparkly bodysuits and 6-inch heels (Jacqs was my stylist and makeup artist too, of course). Quite a bit has changed since then, but one thing has remained the same: our shared love for music. Well, two things actually…Jacqs still does my performance makeup lol.”

With a burning desire to pursue her musical career, and with her sister at her side as her manager, best friend and “sisager”, Juls has quickly become a force to be reckoned with. She reveals, “We once believed that the dream worlds we were creating for fun would only ever exist within the confines of our basement. However, we are now turning these dreams into our reality, and we could not be more excited to share them with you all on a bigger platform.”

Taking inspiration from the likes of Taylor Swift and Lana del Rey, Juls is back with her latest release “Heartbreaker,” blessing listeners with her ethereal euphoria and her truly deepening soundscapes. Reflecting the dazzling movements of the ocean, her music metaphorically encapsulates the highs and lows of adolescence. She explains, “I wrote the hook of this new song in my bedroom in Los Angeles last summer. I distinctly remember looking out my window and thinking about how heartbreak has a butterfly effect of sorts; people never break more hearts than when they are heartbroken because they often turn to others to ease their own pain. This person may simply be looking in another’s eyes to erase the haunting memory of the ones they are trying to forget.. in the process, the people with fresh eyes may become heartbroken and taint themselves in a cyclical and sorta achingly ironic way. So I decided to write a song about this cycle of heartbreak and heartbreaking, building off of this play on words to create the hook.”

With a throbbing baseline, Jul’s vocals roar atop stunning instrumentalism, reverberating with her synth-inspired euphoria. Reminding people of the magic in the small moments, she continues, “Music is amazing because it creates internal distance from the outside world and offers listeners a reprieve to clear their head and sink into a different moment or feeling. I hope that my music makes someone, somewhere feel heard or understood.”

Garnering over half a million streams for her music to date, Juls has received critical acclaim from the likes of Wonderland Magazine, Variance, and several Spotify editorial playlists, as she rapidly becomes an artist to watch for this year and beyond.

Los Angeles indie-pop vocalist KiKi Holli creates stunning and soulful music woven with intricate emotive storytelling for a truly captivating and cathartic listening experience with an eclectic musical aesthetic. Holli draws on inspiration from her rich theatrical background, as well as from iconic artists such as PRINCE, Dusty Springfield, The Cure, Stevie Nicks and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Holli’s debut single was a breathtaking cover of Roxy Music’s “More Than This”, a raw and intimate version of the celebrated 80’s hit. Collaborating with acclaimed producer Ethan Allen (Throwing Muses, Tricky, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), she was inspired to release her own version of the song in the midst of dealing with intense grief and loss.

Her first original song, “NEW HIGH” is a celebration of simple pleasures, finding solace in your happy place and a returning to love after a time of hardship. With soaring vocals singing sunshine-dipped melodies over lush and blissful pop rock soundscapes, “NEW HIGH” is a welcome sonic escape, collaborating again with Allen to create a landscape of music that pulls the listener into the neon glow of a surreal joy ride down the coast of Malibu.

“The music was inspired by long trips down the coast from Highway 10 to the PCH, a trip I take often with my husband. It helps me find my center again to see and sit by the ocean. It’s my happy place. I think that ‘NEW HIGH’ is a good song for all of us, transitioning out of our houses and from looking at each other through screens. That separation really does a number on your brain. ‘NEW HIGH’ is saying that we’re going to be all right, we’re making it through and coming out stronger,”

In “Play To Lose”, KiKi examines leaving a toxic relationship and finding your voice and confidence in the end. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Holli was drawn to the arts from an early age, with her passions gravitating towards music and theater. Subsequently, she found solace in these disciplines and later earned her BFA in voice and theater for further exploring her unique talents. In addition to being a trained vocalist, Holli also grew up playing the guitar, saxophone and viola. Theatrically she has appeared on stage in the plays Of Mice and Men, Three Sisters and Twelfth Night, and also played the lead role in the Rocky Horror-channeling indie film Isle of Lesbos, celebrated by Swampflix as “a politically angry, deliberately offensive, post-John Waters, queer-as-f*ck movie musical with deep roots in drag & cabaret traditions.”

Most notably, Holli co-wrote and starred in Forever Dusty, a stage musical based on the life of British pop star Dusty Springfield. The production opened off-Broadway in 2012 at New World Stages in New York, garnering coverage from The Village Voice, Reuters, The New York Times and Out Magazine. From there, the play went on to run in Los Angeles and London, as well as other cities in the U.S. and U.K.
