Jenny Kern

New EP « Your Heart Knows »

Spotify

Introducing Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based indie dream/pop artist Jenny Kern. With a magnetic vocal style and emotively piercing lyricism, Kern’s music has been amassing plenty of attention around the globe. Having originally started as a Page at NBC, Kern then went on to work for acclaimed filmmakers Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, before eventually becoming a producer in the film and television industry. In 2018 Kern decided to take a leap of faith and pursue her passion for music full time.

Drawing on personal experiences, her songs unfold through a confessional-style delivery revealing the strength that can only come through vulnerability. Exploring what it means to be human and everything from anxiety, depression, getting older, interpersonal relationships, gratitude, love and loss, Kern confides, ”I think most people assume that my music skews toward lyrical sadness but I always try to inject a hopeful undercurrent to it. I want people to feel like there’s hope and just because something feels heavy doesn’t mean that it’s going to be that way forever.”

Taking profound inspiration from the likes of The 1975, Chelsea Cutler, and Maggie Rogers, Jenny Kern is back and unveiling her highly anticipated five-track EP Your Heart Knows. Exploring love from a multitude of angles, including the desire to let go and create distance, Kern confides, “It’s about being open and honest with yourself, trusting how you feel and looking inward at what you really need. Mostly I wanted to create a record that looks at the beauty and the heartbreak of a failing relationship. The ups and downs of that process. Even though you experience heartache you can also recognize the special moments and see how you evolve as a person throughout it all.”

Opening impactfully with “I Need You” and “Feel It Again”, blissful vocality rises above soaring synthesisers and charismatic choruses to create the dreamy pop soundscapes Kern has been known to possess. Paired with vibrant lyricism, Kern’s resonating fables are brought to life. She continues, “Creating this EP really helped ground me in understanding who I am and what I need from a relationship. It was also such an amazing experience to explore more pop-oriented sounds with my producer Carson Cody and create something with a more hopeful undercurrent. Ultimately, I want to be proud of the music I’m making and I want it to be meaningful to people. I hope listeners hear the EP, feel understood and are encouraged to be more present in their life.”

With features on MTV, ABC and the CW, Kern has found herself connecting with major industry producers and writers. Recent months have also seen Kern’s music placed on several Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds, Indie All-Stars and New Music Friday which collectively have over a million followers. Garnering a global audience, humbling praise from the likes of Earmilk, Variance and Ones to Watch, and management in original Glee producer Michael Novick, Kern illustrates impeccable music ability.

New single « Tastes Like You »

St. Humain is a Singapore born, Sydney based singer, songwriter and producer whose music is a delicious amalgam of sounds and stories. The genre-agnostic artist blends pop and electronic with a healthy dose of R&B, to create something which is comfortably familiar, yet alluringly unknown. St. Humain strives to represent the everyday person, delivering honest and relatable songs which speak about his own battles and looks to explore the emotions that make us human.

Now, he is soaring back into the scene with his new single “Tastes Like you”, a track that was entirely self-written and produced, and performed by St. Humain himself. Exploring an encapsulation of jealousy, his latest single blurs the lines between fantasy and reality in a truly remarkable way. His latest endeavor came to fruition upon the unsuspecting swipe of a friend’s Instagram story. St. Humain explains, “I had a little crush on her and saw on Instagram that she was hanging out with another guy and naturally — I began to be jealous, and maybe this is my toxic trait but I started imagining a whole scenario where they were literally going to get married. Turns out they were truly platonic housemates, but the feeling stuck. It’s the lingering afterburn of jealousy/longing that hurt, and trying to drown it out by drinking had zero effect.”

As St. Humain sings, “He’s got that better smile, he’s thinking ring and aisle, but I’m still here sipping whisky but it tastes like you”, his ravishing fables unravel with echoic vocal energy, sweeping synthesisers and a bulging bassline. Paying homage to his love of pop, inspired by artists like Lauv, Blxst, and Dua Lipa, St. Humain consolidates his status as an exceptional storyteller, one whose immersion and passion flow sublimely across his repertoire.

Having released his debut EP, EMOTIONAL SAUNA, in 2019 with Capitol Records, to the acclaim of Billboard, Live Nation’s Ones to Watch and Earmilk, to name a few, St. Humain is hoping to aid Asian representation in the music industry and prove that the dreams of a boy from the small country of Singapore aren’t just dreams. Following the success of his previous singles « Sick Sad Love Song » and “Memento”, he has racked up over a million streams to date for his music and it’s looking like he will continue to soar in success.

She grabs your attention from the very first note. Rebebe has got a voice so full of presence and unexpected intonations, constantly shifting between divine confidence and frantic vibrato. It might sound schizo but Rebebe is without a doubt a singular artist with a multifaceted mind.

Compelling? Indeed. There’s a good chance Rebebe is going to be your new favourite alt-pop drug – and ‘Prozac’ is the first addiction. It’s a spellbinding introduction to a lyrical universe of a young woman who channels her own reality with pure imagination.

“‘Prozac’ is about being in a relationship based on mutual exploitation of each other, knowing that even though you’re a real piece of work, you’re still more than welcome to come and disturb me. This is your life and for some reason you don’t want to change a thing… Truth is it’s a need – a selfish necessity for both of you,”

Rebebe says.

Rebebe began writing and producing her own songs years ago and when she decided to upload some early demo tapes on Soundcloud, her genre-fluid sound instantly made the comments section red hot. Her first official release, ‘DVDs’, came out this August and more is to come from the Copenhagen newcomer.

‘Prozac’ is co-produced by Villads Øster of internationally acclaimed indie pop-outfit, Liss, with whom Rebebe is currently finishing up a debut-EP set to be released on October 28th via Danish independent label, Stellar Records.

noah chenfeld shares his new single in our room

Noah Chenfeld shares his new single « In Our Room »

Noah Chenfeld

New single « In Our Room »

Spotify

Entitled « In Our Room », the breezy indie rock single « is a love song about a very specific time and place. I wanted to make something that would sound right for a lazy beach day, while still containing the urgency that many of the other songs on the record have, »confides the artist. Featuring reflective hazy melodies over end-of-summer soundscapes, « In Our Room » is a nostalgic and dream filled intimate moment.

As the world takes notice of Noah Chenfeld, (songs like 2019’s “I Love Being Tired” has hit 1m streams, others aren’t far behind) the argument can be made that the notice is somewhat overdue. His corner-store casual vibe and scene-renowned reputation for pulling radio-ready hooks out of nearly any instrument in the room have landed him on pop-pedigreed liner notes and in buzzy touring line-ups all around his native NYC for over a decade. Even without the multiple nationwide tours with his downtown buzz-rock outfit, Rebounder, a tour t-shirt with his recent performances would require biblical-size text and a jeweler’s loupe to read.

While much of his work has a distinct, retro-facing power pop sound woven throughout, he’s perhaps best known for his chameleonic ability to effortlessly change stylistic lanes between the wide-eyed and chord-dense singer songwriter palette of his solo career and his ‘eyes-on-the-prize’ style of alt-pop hit making. Rebounder’s aptly titled “Change Shapes” comes to mind, which he co-wrote with Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood, a frequent collaborator and ardent proponent of Chenfeld’s ringer talents.

His prodigious reputation has always been bolstered by a genuinely impressive knack for freestyling. An overwhelming response to one particular clip of him flexing the inexplicably underutilized skill on a live episode of podcast How Long Gone has followed him around for months.

Same Streets, Different City, his new LP of ‘born-here-still-here’ bonafides, is a rough-edged extension of his unabashedly grand approach to songcraft. His style has always challenged the oblique language and sonics of his peers, but on this latest record, his listenability levels up into an all-enveloping popscape with lyrics that roll up their sleeves and reach into the beating heart of each track. The themes are grand, his swings are wide, and the influence is classic. No surprise then, that his recent cover of ‘Born To Run’ received a nod from The Boss himself on his SiriusXM station.

SYML feat Guy Garvey

Nouveau single « Lost Myself »

Elephanz présente son nouveau clip « Time For A Change » (Can You Feel It) feat Liv Del Estal

Elephanz

Nouveau single Time for a change (Can You Feel It)

feat Liv Del Estal

Coline Creuzot shares his new single « That Feeling »

Coline Creuzot

New single « That Feeling »

Spotify

Los Angeles based Billboard charting R&B artist Coline Creuzot’s new single « That Feeling » chronicles Creuzot’s journey of falling out of love with someone and having the courage to set them free. Produced by three time Grammy Award winning producer Troy Taylor (Trey Songz, Whitney Houston) and multi-platinum producer G Sparkz (Meek Mill, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young MA), the song features sweetly-stirring vocals atop diluted guitar riffs and embodied backup vocals, where Creuzot creates an ethereal, underwater effect of emotional intimacy.

Coline expresses the confusion, frustration, and urge to hold on with emotive grace and lyrical poise. Vocally and lyrically transformative, “That Feeling” is able to capture the depths of conflicting emotions and a rise to meet each of them with mirrored sonics. The song is a silky-smooth, melancholy journey that transcends into acceptance and full fledged joy by the end of Creuzot’s story.

Hailing from the Lone Star state of Texas, born and raised in Houston, Coline Creuzot, a singer/songwriter has an astonishing voice. Coline fell in love with the arts at a young age and always knew she was destined for greatness. If it isn’t her dynamic personality or her creative drive, Coline’s angelic voice and her passion for music is captivating. Coline started off performing at local competitions and continued to write and sing throughout her high school and college career.

Coline is not only an incredible voice, but also a scholar. After the singer/songwriter turned boss woman completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management at Hampton University, she decided to move back to Houston to pursue music full time. During this time and while experiencing the growing pains of life, detailed in many of her autobiographical songs, Coline was introduced to Happy Perez, a fellow Houstonian and producer who has worked with Miguel, Mariah Carey and Frank Ocean to name a few. They collaborated on a song called, ‘Give and Take’, that went on to become an immediate hit. ‘Give and Take’ climbed all the way to number 1 on the Houston Radio Charts. The success of the song granted Coline opportunities to open for some amazing artists such as Drake, Keyshia Cole, Monica, Tank to name a few. She later attracted a publishing deal with EMI (now Sony ATV).

Coline continued to grow as an artist and writer expanding her portfolio. Named “an artist at the forefront” by Ebony Magazine, in 2016 Coline’s single ‘Truth Is’ peaked at number 24 on Billboard’s Urban A/C charts. Coline’s music has been recognized by several blogs and magazines such as Vibe Magazine, Pynk Magazine and Singersroom, critics praised her for her writing ability and solid resume working with some of H-Town’s hottest artists such as Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Z-Ro and Paul Wall.

Coline made the jump to Los Angeles to pursue her artistry full time. Known for her strong soulful pipes and lyrical storytelling, Coline pays homage to old-school R&B with a relevant swagger which she showcased in 2017 at the Essence Festival debuting on the « For the Love of R&B » stage. Coline re-released « Truth Is » with a feature from the diamond princess Trina October 2019. Most recently Coline opened for Keyshia Cole, Tank, and K Michelle at the Arena Theater in Houston. On January 10th 2020, Coline released her latest single titled “You Tried It”, which peaked at

#19

on the Urban AC Billboard Charts and remained on the charts for several weeks. Early 2020 Coline signed with BH Talent agency expanding opportunities with acting, fashion and beauty partnerships. In 2021 Coline released several singles and the. an album entitled “Unplugged” with live stripped-down versions of her most popular songs.

Coline released “Sometimes” in 2021, co-written by Sam Hook and produced by Happy Perez, followed by her Billboard charting single « For Love » released in Summer 2022. « That Feeling » is Creuzot’s newest single, produced by three time Grammy Award winning producer Troy Taylor and multi-platinum producer G Sparkz.

Matt Koelsch shares his new single « Part Time Lover »

Matt Koelsch

New single « Part Time Lover »

Spotify

Entitled « Part Time Lover », the track details the struggles of temporary love. The track features incredible session musicians such as drummer Jake Reed (Katy Perry, LA Philharmonic) and bass player Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Tedeschi Trucks Band, John Mayer). A powerful brass section by Evan Hatfield, Ben Burget and Jim Hopson. As well as violinist Rebecca Schlappich Charles (Ben Harper, Chance the Rapper, Deadmau5). Mixing engineer Bryan Cook (One Republic, U2, Radiohead) and mastering engineer Robert L. Smith (Aerosmith, Michael Buble, Lenny Kravitz) in New York City.

A passionate and thoughtful singer-songwriter, Matt Koelsch [‘kel-sh’] has built his music career around stirring lyrics, percolating rhythms, and soaring vocals. His songs strike a chord with listeners as he draws on the pains, gains, and adventures of his life growing up in New England.

At the brink of the 2008 recession, Koelsch took a leap of faith—abandoning his position in the world of finance to dive into the turbulent and unknown waters of the music industry. Hardly missing a beat, he’s been pursuing his passion as a full-time recording and performing artist ever since. Based now in Los Angeles, California, Koelsch’s thrilling and soulful performances deliver falsetto, guitar, and whistle solos in a bold, original take on the alternative-pop genre. Catchy vocals and upbeat, dance-worthy melodies set the hook, while other tracks capture the heartache of romantic ballads in yearning lyrics, simple guitar melodies, and soothing rhythms.

Koelsch’s achievements to date include sales of over 3,000 physical records and 500,000-plus streams across platforms. He has performed over 1,000 gigs and shows—at times as many as 170 performances in a year. He has shared the stage with members of legendary bands such as REM, Pink Floyd, and Toto and played alongside contestants of The Voice and American Idol. For several years, he and his band held a residency at Disney in Anaheim, CA. He performed for an audience of over 5,000 people at the Lights Festival in Barstow, CA. His work has been featured in online venues such as American Songwriter

,

PopWrapped

, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine,

and Earmilk.

Koelsch was the winner of a summer scholarship to Berklee College of Music. In addition to earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College, he supplemented his music education with classes at Providence College and UMASS Amherst. And throughout the pandemic, Koelsch has continued this work at Herb Alpert Music in Los Angeles. His classic-centric studies have included harmony, composition, production, ear-training, piano, guitar and choir across a variety of genres.

Prior releases include a track recorded and produced at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California, and currently Matt is diving deeper into the world of production and composition. Recently, he’s been hired to produce for emerging artists, and he is in the process of scoring music for an independent drama/suspense film.

Koelsch produced his latest release and tracked the majority of the record at his studio alongside incredible session players who have recorded and performed with Adele, Halsey, John Mayer, Hans Zimmer, and others. This album showcases Koelsch’s range—you’ll find edgy stories told uptempo with splashy brass alongside lush, symphonic string romances, layered with light electronic elements. These fun, heartfelt singles will be released via indie imprint Turbulent Records and will be available on all streaming and viewing platforms.
