Ce nouveau single puise dans l’univers des Smiths en faisant aussi un virage vers Procol Harum et Traffic. C’est une chanson qui parle de la difficulté de gérer ces émotions en faisant allusion à Jimi Hendrix.

Caesar Spencer annonce la sortie de son nouvel album Get Out Into Yourself sur le label New Radio Records en début d’année 2023.

Caesar Spencer nous offre un disque célébrant la luxuriance de la pop avec des arrangements baroques et une qualité d’écriture digne des meilleurs songwriters. Amoureux de la France et de sa culture, il parvient à mélanger ses influences rock anglo-saxonnes (The Kinks, David Bowie, The Smiths…), et une certaine sophistication française.

L’album Get Out Into Yourself transcende les genres et les frontières, passant de la pop pastorale britannique (Isn’t That What Jimi Said), au surf-rock énergique (Hail Caesar), à un hommage inspiré au cinéma français (When I Whisper In Your Ear), en passant par des ballades de crooner cosmique évoquant David Bowie (Requiem).

Mais surtout, Get Out Into Yourself est avant tout un hommage affectueux à la France, une nation qui a ravivé à elle seule l’étincelle créative de Caesar. «

Ce disque est tout simplement une lettre d’amour à la France. Je voulais donner quelque chose en retour à un pays qui m’a tant offert. Et je voulais mettre en lumière cet art musical français incroyablement sophistiqué. Les Français ont une façon de faire les choses qui me paraît inégalée et bizarrement pas si connue à l’étranger.

Une fois établi à Paris en 2008, Caesar a commencé à enregistrer au Studio La Fugitive avec le producteur Gaétan Boudy. Aux côtés de la chanteuse Jacqueline Taïeb (sur Waiting for Sorrow), on retrouve également Jean Felzine de Mustang (sur Waiting for Sorrow) et sa partenaire la chanteuse Jo Wedin. L’icône du punk français Gilles Tandy (Les Olivensteins) prête également ses talents à l’album. La chanteuse Mareva Galanter est venue interpréter le morceau de pop baroque When I Whisper In Your Ear. L’enregistrement de l’album a été peaufiné avec les musiciens Fred Lafage à la guitare, à la basse et aux claviers et Frantxoa Erreçarret à la batterie.

Achevé en 2022, le disque propose onze chansons d’une pop élégante et sophistiquée s’affranchissant des frontières et parvenant à réconcilier la pop britannique et la pop française, Caesar Spencer nous livre un album riche en émotions. Ave Caesar !

Thomas Kahn, chanteur à l’histoire personnelle chargée d’émotions fortes, est reconnu pour son timbre de voix unique et ses qualités d’interprète.

De 2013 à 2019, il enchaîne compositions, écriture et concerts. Il ouvre alors pour de brillants artistes à l’Olympia, la Cigale ou le Bataclan, salles fortes de sens dans son cheminement personnel. Sa voix rappelle quelques intonations épicées d’Otis Redding ou encore Lee Fields et, lorsque la tempête se calme, c’est Ben Harper qui s’invite dans l’imaginaire de l’auditeur.

Après deux ans et demi de travail minutieux et intensif, Thomas Kahn livre This Is Real, un second album complet, délicat, fougueux mais contemplatif. Conçu principalement pendant le confinement, le dernier album de Protogonos puise dans ses interrogations, se livre à l’introspection et appelle à la curiosité. Comme un message adressé aux futures générations, cet opus fait office de vecteur entre l’appel au bon sens face à un état des lieux plutôt alarmant.

Le temps est à l’action ! Au gré de cet album, l’auditeur est invité à prendre conscience, à ouvrir les yeux sur le monde qui l’entoure, à travers plusieurs thématiques qui nous touchent tous. Protogonos est un groupe de Metalcore originaire de Reims. Ben à la guitare est un grand fan de Metalcore des années 2010, Jeremy à la batterie, puise son inspiration dans ses influences variées, Thomas à la basse et Aurelien à la guitare sont, eux aussi, des purs produits de la scène Metalcore. Reste Nico, féru de Heavy Metal et de Trash, dont la voix tire aujourd’hui très nettement vers le Death Metal.

Énergique, puissant, et progressif, le son du groupe puise son essence dans la matière primordiale de la scène Metalcore et Hardcore, tout en marquant son répertoire d’une grande richesse mélodique, alternant voix brutales et claires.

Le groupe sort un premier EP de metal moderne en 2017, intitulé Ex Nihilo. L’occasion pour eux de se lancer sur scène avant un tout premier album baptisé

From Chaos To Ashes

. Ce second projet marque la transformation vocale du chanteur lead et une étape de plus vers la métamorphose du groupe. Aujourd’hui, ils nous proposent un second album qui tend davantage vers la signature Protogonos, une patte musicale qui semble avoir été maturée dans un album qui leur ressemble.

Entre l’orientation résolument Metalcore et une voix qui se démarque au gré des samples, particulièrement présents dans ce projet, le groupe a trouvé sa recette !

On vous avait présenté Tim Chesley lors de la sortie de son dernier single “Faith Without You” issu de son EP “The Last Blue Sky”. Après avoir enregistré plusieurs albums autoproduits en France et en Australie, puis avoir signé chez Revolver Records (UK), un label indépendant basé à Wolverhampton (Stone Roses, Jane’s Addiction, etc.), Tim Chesley est de retour. Aujourd’hui, le chanteur de pop progressive franco-américain a fusionné ces deux derniers EP dans un album commun entièrement remasteurisé intitulé « Rain & The Blue Sky ».

Quand la vie ne sera plus, nous nous retrouverons… qui sait ? L’avenir nous le dira si l’amour règnera… qui sait ? Ode à l’amour, ode à la vie, le single de Tim Chesley vient caresser l’auditeur d’un souffle de douceur. Sa voix se pose sur vos épaules et le refrain reste en tête. Aussi mélancolique qu’empli de positivité, ce nouveau titre vient comme une berceuse réconfortante nous rassurer sur des questions dont personne n’a la réponse.

L’idée finale derrière le titre « When Love Will Reign » est d’amener un message d’espoir, celui que l’amour règnera et que nous triompherons tous, par-delà la mort qui n’est finalement qu’un passage obligatoire. ​

Le clip a été réalisé par deux sœurs, Mylène & Julie Jarrier-Stettin, en école de design. ​ Incarnée par un soldat, le mort vient comme un souvenir voyageant à travers le temps. Car à chaque fois qu’un soldat meurt, sa mémoire reste dans l’esprit de sa famille et de ses proches, ses actes restent gravés dans la mémoire collective : il continue à vivre.

Véritable balade spirituelle au piano, qui dénoterait presque du reste de l’album, ce titre est à écouter en boucle et sans modération !

La pop-rock de Tim Chesley est profondément spirituelle et ses textes se veulent être une réflexion sur les changements constants que nous expérimentons dans nos vies, à l’image du ciel dont les nuances et les teintes varient à l’infini au-dessus de nos têtes. Entre une ambiance « fin du monde », et un message profondément optimiste, Tim Chesley a fait de cet album un hommage à la vie et à la mort. “I just listened to the full album the other day for the first time in months,” Sulli adds, “and it kind of surprised me how muscular it sounds. It sounds angry, desperate, discombobulated, in love with melody, in love with guitars and bass and drums, in love with playing music with friends despite – or perhaps because of – what was happening in the outside world. It sounds like resilience. It sounds punch drunk”.

Or rather the creeping realisation that something is just slightly off kilter. So I enjoy the fact that the video stands directly in opposition to that and just shows how – a couple of years down the line – the world can feel a little brighter when you’re on tour in Spain, slurping honey from a plastic bottle and trying to make people dance. »

More Kicks is an explosion of pop melodies, jet-fuelled guitar riffs and shifting, sinewy rhythms with James Sullivan (Sulli) on lead vocals and guitar, Kris Hood on drums, and Paolo Mantovani on bass/vox. The band arrived from nowhere – seemingly fully formed – at the end of 2017 on London’s garage scene. Sid Seth is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who forms a blissful blend of soul and pop into his truly unique repertoire. Originally from Ahmedabad, Gujarat in India, he moved to New York five years ago to study at the Manhattan School of Music, and has been pursuing music in the city ever since.

Emerging sublimely into the scene, the musician is releasing his new single “Simple Yet True.” Written in the depths of lockdown, he found himself alone in New York without friends or family. He confides, “I was feeling lost in a once bustling city that had abruptly fallen silent. I started painting without thinking too much, and unexpectedly produced a long forgotten image from my childhood which immediately inspired me to write this song.”

Working alongside producer Kris Crawford (Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Josh Groban), and Grammy winning mastering engineer Alex Psaroudakis, his latest endeavor came to life. With compelling conceptual approaches, Sid continues, “I wasn’t sure what to do so I started painting. As a child, fine art was something I really enjoyed but I hadn’t held a brush for years. As I started mixing colors, I saw an image that took me back to childhood. It brought me immense joy as it was a forgotten memory with my family.” Growing up, his mom introduced him to The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Boney M and Abba, while Sid’s dad introduced him to the rhythm and melodies of Hindustani Music and Indian Classical music. Paired with the soul inspired tones of Michael Jackson and Ella Fitzgerald, Sid’s enriching sound can be attributed to his vast musical influences.

Exploring the idea that people find their own stories in art, “Simple Yet True” opens with the tender tones of an acoustic guitar. As a keen guitarist and pianist, Sid creates the perfect backing for his delicate vocal energy, as the track envelops with raw authenticity. As he sings, “If you look inside these waters lies hope”, his soul intertwines with intricate musicality and soulful-inspired pop. The warmth in his tone and the tremendous energy he possesses makes him a trailblazer of this time, with the familial comfort of art pathing the way for his resonating lyricism.

Sid has performed in various venues in New York City, such as the Bowery Electric, Feinstein’s 54 Below, and the Green Room, as well as multiple cities in India. C’est à Angoulême qu’en 2012, dans un petit garage de l’avenue Lehmann, que se sont retrouvés cinq lycéens en option musique, frères de groove partageant la même passion pour les rythmes-afro-américains. Influencés par des funkers tels que Prince, Ghost-Note ou D’Angelo, les petits frenchies entendent revisiter à leur tour le fameux jazz-funk des seventies, tout en y instillant des échos hip-hop, house et nu-soul.

Les Lehmanns Brothers sont principalement un groupe de scène, qui tourne considérablement en France mais également au-delà des frontières: Belgique, Allemagne, Espagne, Italie, Angleterre…

Avec son triangle rythmique infernal (Clément Jourdan à la basse, Alvin Amaïzo à la guitare et Dorris Biayenda à la batterie) qu’appuient des cuivres enflammés (avec Jordan Soivin au trombone accompagné par Jonas Muel sur la tournée) et le chant et les claviers de Julien Anglade, on ne résiste pas longtemps à leur répertoire qui donne des fourmis dans les jambes et transforme chacun de leur concert en une grande messe du groove.

You can hear it, see it, and feel it on his standout single “Sweet Release.” Proving to be another smash produced and written by Kevin with bright guitar threads around a simmering beat as his voice flutters from vulnerable verses into a vital hook highlighted by hypnotic high register.

“Everybody has a guilty pleasure or something to take them away from the daily monotony,” he observes. “It’s more so about escapism than it’s meant to be sexual or sensual. For me, the main key is the escape. If you’re riding in the car, you can play the song. It could just feel liberating like a cool breeze. This song is transformative in a sense. Wherever you are, it can be your soundtrack.”

Ultimately, Kevin keeps creating the soundtrack to your life.

“When you listen to me, I hope the music makes you feel something, puts a smile on your face, or provides comfort,” he leaves off. “It’s much bigger than me. I want you to make memories to these songs. I couldn’t ask for anything else. For me to be complete, I need to write, produce, arrange, mix, and perform on stage to affect people. I feel like I’m doing what I need to do, and this is where I’m meant to be today.”

Natalie Shay is an indie-pop artist hailing from North London. The multi-award-winning musician has established an ever-growing presence and loyal fanbase through her explosive live performances and unforgettable anthems, recognising her as one of the UK’s hottest emerging talents. With indie synth pop leanings and ferocious guitar playing, Shay’s references range from Haim and Taylor Swift to Little Comets. Her relatable lyrics touch on love, self-discovery and the everyday experiences of a twenty-something.

Combining her youthful and charismatic aura with her classical training and time spent at the prestigious BRIT School, Shay has finessed the ability to produce undeniably catchy music, whilst maintaining musical maturity.
