this is the band’s third EP and features a whirlwind of emotions and energy that is pure rock n’ roll straight from the groin. The band delivers 5 songs filled with lust, longing, angst, love, and love lost. Frontwoman, Montclare, wrote the EP, drawing from personal experiences with love and pain, a relatable topic to most, but while also being refreshingly honest about her sexuality, and who these songs are about.

The EP ebbs and flows from hard 2000’s and 90’s style pop punk to Heavy Rock grooves, showing a wide and versatile range in their musical style while also staying true to their signature sound and tone. From the soaring guitar solos, catchy riffs, and 4 part harmonies to clever, whimsical, and dark lyrics,

hits all the right spots.

The focus single, “T. D .T .T .M”, means “Too Depressed To Touch Myself.” Besides the obvious, being too depressed to touch yourself, the song is about not being able to go about life without thinking of someone from your romantic past. In pure MONTE fashion, singer and guitarist, Caitlin Montclare takes a bad experience and makes a danceable and catchy track.

MONTE was formed by singer and lead guitarist, Caitlin Montclare in 2017, later adding drummer and audio engineer, Ismael Baiz, and bassist Meghan Rose to the official line- up. Since becoming MONTE, the band has released several singles, two EPs and performed more than 50 shows throughout the United States, including renowned New York venues such as “The Knitting Factory” and “The Bowery Electric”.

MONTE is influenced by a lot of bands from the late 80’s and early 90’s such as punk bands The Lunachicks, NOFX, Bad Religion, The Offspring and metal bands like Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Plasmatics. Montclare takes an old school sound and puts her own spin on it with the band adding interesting chord changes, riffs, and song structure. Drummer, Ismael Baiz likes to call this “The MONTE pocket”.

Whim Therapy poursuit l’exploration de nouvelles expériences musicales, escorté de ses nouveaux outils d’Intelligence Artificielle, et présente Closely, extrait de son EP “I tried to make music with IA and this happened”.

« Pour Closely, Katrina Bondarenko, la réalisatrice, et moi avons voulu représenter la vie, aussi bien dans son immensité que les micros-détails. Elle est complexe, inattendue, parfois explosive et parfois dégoutante, sans jamais arrêter d’avancer et de se renouveler. Parfois on vit des moments d’accalmie, parfois de la colère, mais elle prend tout son sens quand on se laisse porter. C’est cette sensation que j’aimerais transmettre à ceux qui regarderont » explique Jérémy (Whim Therapy)

Whim Therapy s’associe avec le laboratoire Sony CSL spécialisé dans le futur de la musique basé sur l’intelligence artificielle. Les premières sessions en studio ont amené Whim Therapy à porter la collaboration plus loin.

L’histoire commence en 2010 quand Jeremy fait la connaissance de l’auteur/compositeur Yogan Le Fouler-Barthel, qui cherche alors à faire mûrir son projet Diva Faune. Grâce au succès du duo, Jérémy devient un compositeur et un réalisateur demandé au service d’autres artistes sous le nom de Jamy Ben, et signe un contrat d’édition avec Sony Music Publishing.

En marge de Diva Faune naît le besoin d’expérimenter sans rentrer dans aucun schéma. C’est ainsi qu’en 2020 prend forme Whim Therapy, le moyen pour lui d’explorer de nouvelles façons de composer. Intrigué par les solutions que développe Sony CSL, il contacte l’équipe française via les réseaux sociaux. Les deux entament une collaboration qui lui ouvre l’accès aux outils.

Après s’être familiarisé avec les possibilités de ces nouvelles technologies, il entreprend de composer avec leur aide. Des multiples morceaux que Jérémy réalise, il choisit le titre

Let It Go

pour participer en 2021 à la deuxième édition de l’AI Song Contest, le concours international qui permet aux artistes de réinventer le processus d’écriture de chansons grâce aux outils d’Intelligence Artificielle. Fort d’un concept mêlant une vibe old-school à l’ultra modernité des outils, Whim Therapy avec

Let It Go

remporte le 2e Prix du Public.

Jeremy décide alors d’aller plus loin et s’engage avec le laboratoire Sony CSL sur la conception inédite d’un EP construit en collaboration avec l’Intelligence Artificielle, qui pour la première fois dans le monde repousse les standards de la musique pop électronique.

RIMKOV jeune auteur de 23 ans, d’origine tunisienne, a grandi à Puget (83). Issu d’une grande famille, il a toujours eu une passion pour la musique et c’est en 2018 avec son cousin qu’il prend la parole avec un 1er projet « KAWA ». De freestyle, en clip, ils se font remarquer sur le net avec les titres « Ferme ton *** » ou encore « Triple A » avec des feat comme VEAZY.

RIMKOV a toujours été très proche de la scène Marseillaise qui l’a toujours côtoyé depuis son plus jeune âge : JUL, Riz, Bilk, Houari, Kamikaz … pour ne citer qu’eux!

RIMKOV avait mis en pause sa carrière 2020 pour se consacrer à l’entreprise familiale. Il décide également de monter un studio « The French Riviera Records » à côte de Fréjus pour aider les jeunes talents de la région.

C’est lors du premier confinement qu’il retourne en studio et très rapidement il reprend goût à l’écriture. Il enchaîne les titres avec un EP qui se dessine . Il propose à son pote Graya ( 13 Organisé, Naps, …) de poser sur un titre du futur EP «

“The Calm is a song that was initially started in 2018 during the time I was in a long distance relationship. The relationship was short lived ending in early 2019, but left me with trust issues and a mind that over thinks the worst scenarios when in love. The track was forgotten about until 2022 when I discovered it only half finished and decided to add a 2nd verse in the place the girl I was in the long distance relationship with was supposed to feature on. Instead of focusing the 2nd verse on the end of the relationship I decided to write about how in my current relationship I still struggle with issues and worries that manifested from my previous experiences. The moral of the story is that it’s better to have loved and lost than to never loved at all. It was the calm before the storm.“

Sufferplenty is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from PG County Maryland. sufferplenty is no stranger to isolation and feeling alone. This is what led him to start making music in 2017. Though he has been rapping and writing song lyrics his whole life. sufferplenty has no plans on stopping and would like to eventually be able to sustain a living from his musical ability. “Skull Creator” is the new solo record by Canadian singer/guitarist C.Ross, better known as Chad Ross, who currently fronts Toronto psych rockers Comet Control (Teepee Records). The new record features eight genre-stradling songs of americana tinged folk-rock, while hinting at Ross’s fuzzy psych-rock past. Recorded, produced and mixed by Joshua Wells (Lightning Dust, Destroyer, Black Mountain) at the Balloon Factory in Vancouver, British Columbia (the home studio of Dan Bejar of Destroyer), the new album “Skull Creator” was written at first as a solo acoustic project. When Destroyer’s Joshua Wells joined in on both drums and keys and Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless, Golden Void, the Black Crowes) on guitar, with Aaron Goldstein on pedal steel, the project morphed into a sweet psych-folk adventure. Speaking of the hauntingly powerful album, Ross states: “I had it in my head that I was gonna make an acoustic record, with the sole purpose of making fun of myself, reflecting on a few of my past wasted lives and just generally taking the singer/songwriter thing out with the trash. The lyrics all made me laugh at one point, but when Josh and Isaiah got involved, things got elevated…. as they tend to do with musicians like that.”

“Wrong Side of the Sky” is the first single and video off of the new album. It is a sunny psych folk jam that will start your summer off with haunting, mellow vibes that transport the listener back in time to the gentle late ‘60s. The video was created by Waterloo, Ontario artist/musician Olde Nightrifter. She has created lush and beautifully psychedelic videos for the likes of Shabazz Palaces, Knife Knights, Comet Control and Icky Reels. The video takes you on a visual journey through light and dark spaces, with morphing objects that intertwine and complement the lyrical and compositional feel of the song.

Ross has spent years navigating the Canadian music scene as the singer/ guitarist for heavy psych rockers Quest for Fire (Teepee), solo acoustic as Nordic Nomadic (Blue Fog, Teepee), a member of legendary garage rock band The Deadly Snakes (In the Red) and a touring member of Vancouver’s Pink Mountaintops. Get your hands on his newest project which branches off from these influences and shows his maturing songcraft into psych-folk territory. “Skull Creator” is available since July 13, 2022 as an LP co-release on Atlanta’s Echodelick Records, Canada’s Noise Agony Mayhem and Australia’s Ramble Records. Après avec dévoilé le titre Prisonnier il y a quelques semaines, l’artiste brésilien Mayu est de retour avec le clip de Parle-moi du soleil, un titre écrit avec Francis Cabrel qui offre un texte superbe.

Arrivé en France de son Brésil natal en 2009, Mayu a fait ses classes au Conservatoire d’Agen, avant d’être pris sous l’aile d’Aurélie Cabrel et Esthen Dehut, séduites par son potentiel musical hors norme.

Alors qu’il prépare son premier album, Pas d’Ici, à paraitre dans le courant année, Mayu sort un premier single estival, Parle-moi du soleil, une ritournelle lumineuse écrite et offerte par Francis Cabrel. Mayu chante ce titre d’une voix suave et caressante.

Avec sa musique, Mayu dresse des ponts entre chanson française, jazz et musique populaire brésilienne avec une originalité qui accroche l’oreille dès la première écoute.

Mayu est la première signature de Baboo Music. Artiste brésilien, il est à la fois, bassiste, contrebassiste, compositeur, auteur et interprète. via Kommerz Records on August 26th, the duo kick starts by dropping singles « Deep » featuring super talented singer AGGi from Aarhus and lo-fi garage beat « RX5“. For « Deep » producers Glenn Astro and Hulk Hodn invited Danish singer AGGi (formerly known as AGGi DiX) to refine their spacious and detailed production with psychedelic layers of neo-soul vocals.

The young songwriter explores her desire for intimate and meaningful encounters with herself, explaining,“I wrote “Deep” in a period of time when I was frustrated about my life situation and how my relations were going. I was not paying attention to the ones I love and I was not paying to myself either. Music was my only friend – and enemy – at that time. I wanted to be accepting and let go of my ego.“

B side track « RX5 » is a deep, but hard-hitting solo instrumental featuring progressive UK garage aesthetics and a funky bassline. The duo develops their exploration of new aesthetics even further through synthesized soundscapes and numerous collaborations with young talent from all over the world.

Xades (pronounced shades) is the newest creation of the DJ and curator known mostly under MSJY. Whilst MSJY’s DJ sets are known for their heavy bass drip and bouncy rhythmic darkness, Xades is an ode to the sweet latina soul hidden underneath the tiny powerhouse bouncing behind the booth. Whilst it is certainly new to hear the voice behind the sound, MSJY has been spreading her music all over the world for more than 8 years.

By using it as a portal to connect to people and interact with her surroundings, she enjoys exploring its various soundscapes with a sharp mind, sensitive ear and dedicated heart. The Dekmantel affiliated selector as well as a former resident at Amsterdam‘s De School, Groningen’s OOST and Berlin‘s Griessmuehle is known for thought- and playful sets that dig into bass and breaks adding dashes of her passed influences of trip-hop and IDM. As Xades, Jenny explores her voice and songwriting, extending her tentacles into different genres, serving a vulnerable exploration that transitions smoothly from dub, downtempo electronica and contemporary R&B. Her multiplicitous musical and cultural roots (Brazilian mother, Argentinian father, Swiss passport) seep through all the versatile layers of her sound.

A perfectionist at heart, it needed a gentle push by her partner (in crime, music, and life) to find the confidence to share an album that proves that finesse for depth and layer her long-time listeners have always admired her for.

, le groupe a d’abord connu une 1ere vie – courte – sous le Nom de JOSH, ou déjà, leurs concerts était saisissants. Puis le nom de

Black Sea Dahu,

évoquant cette mythique que les montagnards connaissent bien.

Janine Cathrein,

autrice, compositrice et musicienne, l’existence de Black Sea Dahu n’en reste pas moins une expérience collective.

Si Janine est le Cœur de l’impulsion créatrice

, la musique prend vie dans une émulation de groupe. Janine cite d’ailleurs

Ken Keney and the Merry Pranksters

comme inspiration pour sa vision de la musique. Mais au lieu d’ingurgiter de copieuses quantités de LSD et de rouler dans un mini-bus VW, ils se retrouvent dans diverses configurations et s’amusent avec le son dans le monde entier.

Ce groupe est d’ailleurs riche : pas moins de 7 musiciennes et musiciennes talentueuses parmi lesquels on retrouve notamment un frère et une sœur de Janine. que l’on retrouvera sur scène en 2022.
