est une chanson d’amour sans réserve. Je voulais regarder vers l’avant, et tomber amoureux du mystère de quelqu’un. Laisser l’amour entrer, sans se poser de questions ni se demander comment il pourrait me blesser. Soniquement, je voulais aller dans l’espace. Ce genre d’amour n’est pas terrestre. » Andrews a initialement abordé l’album en écrivant une chanson chaque jour. Elle a senti « les sons de l’été » couler dans son écriture, et a progressivement rassemblé un album de matériaux imprégnés d’un sentiment de romance, de possibilité et de liberté. Elle a demandé à Sam Evian (Big Thief, CassandraJenkins, AnnaBurch) de coproduire l’album avec elle et l’a enregistré au studio Flying Cloud Recordings d’Evian dans les Catskill Mountains.

In « Hot Night », the romantic and exquisite Latin inspired song fuses sultry vocals, slick dance-worthy production, and sophisticated Santana-like guitars highlighted with glowing vocals from Moonlight Jones and Karina Iglesias (finalist on The Voice). The result is the ultimate blend of passion, fever, and ecstasy that is so effortlessly pronounced in the Latin music culture. « My music is inspired by my lifelong love of different cultures and the music that each unique culture brings. My belief is that music has the ability to bring people together across different backgrounds and has the power to heal. The song ‘Hot Night’ is my love letter to Latin culture and how it helped shape me as an artist, » confides Moonlight Jones.

Produced by acclaimed Nino Valentino and multiple grammy winning trumpet player and arranger, Dante Vargas, Moonlight Jones assembled the best talent that Miami had to offer to work on the record. The song was then sent to multiple Grammy-winning mixing engineer, Sean Moffitt ( David Bowie, The Weeknd, Foo Fighters,The Killers, Tiesto, Imagine Dragons, Bon Jovi, 21 Savage, Run the Jewels) and Grammy-winning mastering engineer, Joe LaPorta from Sterling Sound.

The video for « Hot Night » was directed by the brilliant David Rousseau, Miami’s superstar director for Pitbull with over 5 billion views.

Music has taken Moonlight Jones to many corners of the globe and from coast to coast in the United States. A self-taught guitarist, he was fascinated with how easily music could open up whole worlds of creativity and inspiration. He promptly learned as much as he could from every musician he knew in his hometown of Tampa, Florida and set off on his musical journey.

Born to an Egyptian father and an American mother of Czech heritage, MoonLight Jones’ introduction into the world of music was wide ranging and has influenced his musical style ever since. Latin, Middle Eastern and World music was always playing in MoonLight Jones’ household, as was Blues, Bluegrass, Asian, and Folk music.

The sound of the flamenco guitar in particular inspired him to move to Spain and learn as much as he could about the style while living and studying in Barcelona and Granada. Trips to Puerto Rico, Cuba and Colombia further opened up his world to the rich musical cultures of those countries and many others.

His professional music career started in Los Angeles, CA. His first job in L.A. was working for famed graphic designer Kyle Cooper, in Malibu. Shortly after, Jeff decided to pursue sound engineering to round out his growing musical experience. Whilst working with many local bands he got an opportunity to tour with the 100 Monkeys, which was “Twilight” alum Jackson Rathbone’s band and headlined shows at The Whiskey-A-Go Go, The Mint, The House of Blues on Sunset and The Viper Room, to name a few. He also produced hip-hop for The Jugernox, with Scott “The Scientist” Coslett and Jerry “J-Strong” Armstrong for artists like James Jr, a Memphis rapper and also H-Town rapper, Rock.

Moonlight Jones’ love of film music eventually landed him a job with Heitor Pereira, famed film composer, who had a studio at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Studios in Santa Monica. Moonlight Jones also lived in Nashville, TN. where he plied his trade in Southern Rock band, Suthurn Swaggur, with the talented lead vocalist and lyricist, Joseph Dawson.

More recently, he moved back to Florida, this time to Miami, where he began working with local Haitian artists, Claude Cajuste of Gemini All-Stars fame, and rapper/singer Purple Gorilla. Together, they formed the group Echo N Dream and have played shows all over Miami.

In 2021, Moonlight Jones teamed up with International recording artist and producer Nino Valentino. Together they created a unique genre of music called « Cosmic Soul » which is a blend of Flamenco music, R&B and Rock. When asked why they chose the name « Cosmic Soul » Moonlight Jones responded, « Through our music we want to connect with our fans on a universal level, that’s what Cosmic Soul is all about. Connecting with each other using our music as the vehicle ». Moonlight Jones just released his latest single, “Hot Night”, written by Moonlight Jones and produced by Nino Valentino and recorded at Mambo Cat Studios owned by Grammy-winning Trumpet Player Dante Vargas. The song also features the amazing vocals of Karina Iglesias, a Miami native and finalist on “The Voice”. The track was then mixed by Grammy winning engineer Sean Moffitt and mastered by Grammy winning engineer Joe LaPorta.

La chanteuse KVM aiguise sa plume avec son nouveau single « BPM »

D’un naturel pudique et introverti, KVM ne cesse de se faire violence pour exprimer ses émotions, un exercice où elle excelle pourtant à coup de rimes et de figures de style. C’est ce qu’elle nous donne à voir aujourd’hui dans « BPM ».

KVM est née et a grandi à Roubaix, dans le Nord de la France, de parents d’origines Algérienne et d’une fratrie de 5 enfants. Elle commence la musique très tôt, au conservatoire de Roubaix, où elle pratique de l’Alto, du solfège et de l’orchestre symphonique. Élève très appliquée et investie, elle est diplômée d’une licence en Commerce international.

C’est en rentrant d’un de ses voyages aux États Unis que sa vie prend un tout autre tournant. En effet, elle se lance sur les réseaux sociaux, plus particulièrement sur Instagram, où elle publie des cover/mashup, mélangeant plusieurs titres connus mais également l’anglais et le français. Créative et audacieuse, KVM très vite comprend qu’il faut se démarquer des autres artistes et c’est grâce à un mashup de plusieurs titres de Booba que ce dernier la remarque et la reposte sur son compte Instagram, très vite le titre atteint le million de vue. Par la suite, elle fait la rencontre de ses deux producteurs, Abdoul et Doom, du Label Sigma distribué par Universal Music, qui misent sur son talent et avec qui elle grandit artistiquement.

Attirée et influencée par le rap et par les artistes de cet univers tels que Booba, SCH ou encore Lil Wayne, KVM emprunte ses textes et ses flow au rap, reflétant ainsi son naturel, sa sincérité et ses mélancolies.

Tessa Kaye is a Philadelphia born, Los Angeles based pop artist. Armed with vibrant individuality and a fresh approach, the effervescent artist delivers infectious pop soundscapes, with raw and relatable themes. Having grown up in Utah, Kaye struggled with the difficulties that being a black girl in a mostly white community faced. Raised in the Mormon church, she made the decision to leave once she reached early adulthood, moving to the West Coast to pursue her passion. Now, with a plethora of life experiences under her belt, Kaye wants to tell her story.

Following the successful release of her debut single “Fools Gold,” which was added to numerous Spotify editorial playlists, including New Music Friday U.S., Kaye unveils the intoxicating “You Know Who You Are and I Hate You.” An honest song narrating her lifelong struggles with severe anxiety, the songwriter gets vulnerable. She explains, “although it could be about a romantic relationship as well, I’m personally talking to my anxiety about the ways it has debilitated my life at times.” The song is a reminder that it’s perfectly ok to have days when you’re down, we’re all human and we’re allowed to be soft, feel delicate or just not ok! Kaye confides, “I’ve had a lot of people try to tell me that my anxiety and how much I feel is a weakness. It’s taken a lot of self work for me to realize that there’s a strength in allowing yourself to simply be as weak as you feel in a moment. Black women in particular are always looked at as ‘strong black women’ and while yes, that is true, there are many sides to us.”

Her release « Smile More » « speaks to the double standard of how men and women have been allowed to express themselves in society. It’s a weird, ridiculous expectation people place on women, to look pleasant 100% of the time. » confides Kaye. Featuring colorful warm beats and Kaye’s signature soulful vocals, « Smile » radiates with confidence.

Her single « Sunshine & Rainbows » is about the frustrations that can come with toxic positivity. Tessa confides, « so many times I’ve found myself in situations where I was trying to mask my authenticity to not come off as “negative.” I’ve swallowed my own hurt in order to keep a happy, positive disposition for others, but that shit’s dead now! Life isn’t always sunshine & rainbows…and I’d say that’s kinda the whole point. Balance baby. Contrast. François Staal nous offre un nouvel extrait de son dernier album L’humaine beauté, sorti en fin d’année. Il sera en concert à Paris au Connétable le 24 juin. A cette occasion, il nous dévoile le clip de Minuit, titre phare et envoûtant de l’album.

Minuit est une tentative de saisir, d’évoquer, le lien et le vécu difficile des créateurs et de leur dépendance à l’alcool : Jim Harrison, Serge Gainsbourg, Amy Winehouse, Verlaine, Baudelaire, Janis Joplin… La liste est longue. Auteur, compositeur, rockeur, et poète, François Staal affirme de disque en disque son statut de musicien culte dans le paysage de la chanson française.

Minuit effleure aussi en toute logique la symbiose de l’abandon dans l’alcool, et de la mélancolie violente, la lucidité insupportable, ces maladies cruelles, implacables, et magnifiques, trop souvent vécues par les artistes sensibles et passionnés.

Cette chanson de François Staal s’inscrit dans l’aventure de L’humaine beauté, album inspiré par la beauté des arts et des artistes.

L’humaine beauté, 7eme album de François Staal, est sorti le 10 décembre avec une dizaine de textes inédits, la reprise de deux monuments de la chanson La nuit je mens (Bashung) et Avec le temps (Ferré)… une chanson de Pierre-Yves Lebert et un poème de Baudelaire.

Point d’orgue d’une évolution débutée il y a dix ans, L’humaine beauté couronne une recherche sur les sons et le texte en français, mêlant guitares et batterie rock aux cordes symphoniques, dans une certaine filiation avec Nick Cave ou les Pink Floyd. Deux superbes duos rythment cet album, l’un avec CharlElie Couture, et l’autre avec Nina Morato.

L’humaine beauté est un aboutissement, au sens littéral comme au sens musical… ou faudrait-il dire au sens propre comme au sens figuré ? Au fil de textes poétiques traversés par tous les élans de l’existence, de la révolte légitime du militant (Ready) aux réminiscences grandioses de l’enfance (Bréhat), de la solitude de l’artiste abîmé dans ses tourments (Minuit) à l’élégance des images suspendues comme des étoiles (Ce qu’il y a de beau), cet album de chanson rock explore la beauté dans ce qu’elle a d’éphémère (c’est maintenant), de contradictoire (Ne pas t’attendre), de fraternel (Tous frères) et d’exaltant (Céline). Jusqu’à la reprise de ces deux chefs d’œuvre profondément humains que sont Avec le temps de Léo Ferré, et La nuit je mens, d’Alain Bashung.

Pour François Staal, la quête du beau, c’est suivre les pas de Charles Baudelaire, son mentor, son auteur de chevet (et ce n’est pas un hasard si l’album s’achève avec L’invitation au voyage). C’est écrire des textes, où la vérité, la réalité, sont observées, reconstruites, déformées, transposées pour échanger, partager, toucher l’âme et l’esprit. A la manière d’un polaroïd dont les couleurs déforment la réalité avec tendresse.

Kat Hamilton is a west-coast, singer, songwriter and performer. Hamilton has had the career trajectory of a chameleon; lending her talents to pop-punk, emo, r&b, hip-hop, pop, and country. In 2017, Hamilton ended her five year run as the front woman of popular east-coast pop punker’s, Manic Pixi. She reemerged with her own vulnerable approach to Indie Rock, with a touch of Americana. Drawing inspiration from classics like Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac, as well as contemporaries like City and Colour. In 2018, The multiple SXSW performer debuted her own vulnerable approach to indie-rock. Her standout single « Bees » was featured on Fox’s family dramedy, Almost Family (2019). Her following release and debut album « Recovery Songs » was released in 2020 to critical acclaim. The album tackled themes of sobriety, mental illness and hitting rock bottom. Since then, Kat Hamilton has been featured in Earmilk, Rolling Stone India, Atwood Magazine, Medium, Popdust and many other notable publications.

Most recently, you can hear Hamilton singing as one half of the LA based indie-rock duo, Guyville. You may also know Kat as the singing voice of Rashida Jones in a national Expedia Commercial. She is also the co-host and artist curator at The Writers Round Los Angeles- an inclusive songwriters showcase presented at The North End Hollywood every Wednesday. Outside of her musical accomplishments, Hamilton is a dedicated poet and freelance writer. Her debut poetry chapbook “The Thing’s We’ve Lost” is set to release at the end of 2022.

takes us on a roller coaster of emotions with brand new single titled ‘Motion’. Oozing soothingly atmospheric soundscapes which intertwines with the young songstress’ alluringly soulful vocals, ‘Motions’ forms part of Stacey’s second solo EP, ‘Origin Unknown’ slated for release in July.

Written, arranged, recorded and mixed by Stacey, the four-track EP is set to take us through some of the ups and downs within her journey of faith

‘Motion’ represents the value we place on other’s perceptions of us and how that value interacts with our self-worth.

Since the release of her debut self-written/produced EP ‘Eden’ back in 2018, which was met with raving reviews, Stacey is carving a name for herself in London’s music scene as a full-time musician, regularly performing at opulent venues, The Londoner Hotel, The Dorchester Hotel (through Molto Music Group) and The Ned. Stacey also graced her intensely compelling stage presence at various events across the capital including St. Felix Place, Gigi’s Bar, Café 1001 and East London’s 93 Feet East.

As she continues to flourish as a musician, Stacey has ventured out to experiment with various genres through collaborations with British-Congolese musician Jordan Mackampa on his EP ‘Come Around’, recorded his Live Abbey Road session. Stacey was also one of two backing vocalists to appearin Jordan’s music video, for single ‘Under’.

Stacey also has a burgeoning partnership with multi genre producer Obsidian Cane, producing UKG club fillers ‘Body Talk’ and ‘Secret Place’ which was also met with critical acclaim and were supported by UKG connoisseur DJ EZ on BBC1xtra. The pair is set to release more dancefloor staples later in the year.

Until then, Stacey presents her single, ‘Motion’ which showcases her undeniable skill to instantly draw in the prospective listener into her world.
