LABEL: Reduced To The Root

Rising avant-tech-pop producer

MARIA Die RUHE

has released her latest single,

‘Musik Ist Meine Sprache’

on the 28th of April via

Reduced To The Root

. The single follows the release of the recently released

Martin Waslewski

remix for her well-known single,

‘Rejection’

as well as

‘Superrare’

which was accompanied by an

extravagant video

and

‘Skin’

which was accompanied by a

stop-motion video

.

MARIA Die RUHE

has previously been supported by

CLASH Magazine, Notion Magazine, Metal Magazine, Tonspion, Glamglare

and

trndmsk

with just under

6.5 million

plays on

Spotify

alone, with the number rising by the day. The singer is from Thuringia, Germany previously lived in both Berlin, San Francisco, as well as London and is now based in Leipzig, Germany once more. With her love for travel,

MARIA Die RUHE

has performed on several different stages across Europe, including Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and Turkey, each time bringing new energy to her set.

Surrendering to the world of minimalist beats,

MARIA Die RUHE

reveals her inner soul with her latest single. Reminiscent of the toned-down works of

Röyksopp, Lykke Li

and

as well as artists found on the established

Keinemusik

label,

‘Musik Ist Meine Sprache’

is unapologetically bold while using recurring rhythmic elements to lure you in.

MARIA Die RUHE

tells us about the importance music holds for her:

« Music cannot save the world, but it can safe your soul. This big source of magic that unites all of us literally did in my case. Music genuinely forced me to confront myself with all colours of the rainbow that my soul wants to explore and translate them into waveforms. With this song, I am expressing my massive love for music, the dance floor and everything connected to it. In my very own strange way and my mother tongue, German as well as some French and English. Musik ist meine Sprache. Music is my mother tongue. Forever. »

Mamfredos feat Philippe Katerine

CASSIA présente son nouveau clip « Not Enough Time To Think »

CASSIA

Nouveau clip « Not Enough Time To Think »

La pop solaire et chatoyante de

CASSIA

a encore frappé ! Après la vidéo de

Motions

Not Enough Time To Think

Why You Lacking Energy

» à paraître le 15 juillet 2022.

Préquel du clip

Motions

réalisé par Vasilia Forbes, la vidéo de

Not Enough Time To Think

NOUVEL ALBUM

WHY YOU LACKING ENERGY?

Why You Lacking Energy

? ».

Sirens

», dangereuse tornade électronique et transpirante. Puis « Dancing in the Street », «

The Void

jillian lake shares her new single steady hands

Jillian Lake shares her new single “Steady Hands

Jillian Lake

New single “Steady Hands

Spotify

The emotional “Steady Hands,” narrates raw and vulnerable moments of grief and heartbreak to self-discovery and falling in love.

Vancouver indie artist, Jillian Lake, mixes velvet sounds and big feelings to transport you into her world of sweet sorrow in a way that will make you want to take your broken heart out dancing. Feelings transposed onto paper and into music, movements, and visuals – her complex collage of sound with moody folk undertones can be compared to indie female powerhouses like Feist, Maggie Rogers, and Phoebe Bridgers.

Teaming up with musician and producer, Jordan Klassen, who brought his cinematic and syncopated style to her stripped-down singer-songwriter form, together they created an album that combines her raw poetry and instinct for melodies with his expertise in song structure and instrumentation.

Off of the upcoming album is the emotional “Steady Hands,” a song which narrates a challenging time for the songwriter, where she was experiencing vulnerable and raw moments of grief and heartbreak to self-discovery and falling in love. Lake confides, “I wrote this single when I was heartbroken living on the 22nd floor of an apartment right off Sunset Beach in Vancouver. I would sit in the living room and stare out at the most beautiful sunset over the horizon, and think – how can I not feel happy in this moment? I twistedly love the aching feeling because that’s what inspires my art. I am majorly influenced by my surroundings, my day to day, the people I see on the bus, the mundane walk to work, the sad sunset – I let it all affect how I’m feeling and that in turn comes out in my writing.”

With a reminiscent and nostalgic tone, “Steady Hands” sees the artist blurring the lines between folk, indie, pop and singer-songwriter. Her soft, delicate vocals and wistful harmonies dance atop warm, organic instrumentation, resulting in a heartfelt, sentimental release.

Jillian Lake has garnered notable press, as well as editorial playlisting on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon, reaching over 100K plays on one of her most recent singles. She has also had the pleasure of opening for Luca Fogale and is currently planning an international tour.

elyse jewel shares her new single tbh idk

Elyse Jewel shares her new single “TBH IDK”

Elyse Jewel

New single “TBH IDK”

Spotify

The acclaimed 17-year-old singer/songwriter and mental health champion has unveiled her new confessional pop single “TBH IDK”, which profiles moving on after a toxic relationship and finding humor after an unsuccessful love story. Elyse confides, « The chorus and the title of the song were inspired by his response when I asked what our relationship was to him. He

actually

said “tbh idk”, and ghosted me. »

Elyse Jewel is breaking the 4th wall when it comes to mental health. As a lifelong performer and a notably kind, playful personality she is out to change the world of Pop stardom by promoting healthy mental practices and leading authentic conversations through her songs. Jewel, who leads the maturing generation of Swifties, takes heart when writing about young love, heartbreak, and dusting oneself off. “My songwriting process feels like a therapy session a lot of times,” she says of sharing authentic storytelling. « I want my music to resonate with people and for those who hear it to think, ‘Hey that’s how I feel’ or ‘I’ve been in that situation.’”

Elyse Jewel isn’t all bubblegum, though. Her new tracks are packed with clever quips and gritty guitar licks as if to follow a warm hug with a jolting push to the ground. In her pre-EP single, “TBH IDK”, Jewel sings about her love interest being sweet one minute and sour the next leaving her with nothing but a song to sing to which she claps back, “I can’t be your therapist”. Despite her lyrical jabs Jewel’s social media is glittered with encouraging notes to followers and “How are you?” captions. The threads of comments are full of heartfelt responses to anyone sharing a struggle or a triumph.

Dear Diary, a 6-song visual album set to release late Summer 2022, is the artist’s debut showcase of her ability to craft, and execute, a complete vision. Accompanied by a visual component with each song, the nearly 18-year-old faces heavy emotions head-on, taking listeners through the familiar process of feeling butterflies for someone new, to discovering they aren’t who they projected themselves to be, and coming to terms with what we tend to allow people to get away with for the sake of companionship and cute social media pics. Though this project is new, in every release since her debut single, “Thinking About You” in 2019, Elyse sheds light on the feelings we’ve all encountered with the goal of helping people to feel less alone. “It’s important that I create a safe space with every listener.”

New EP « Take Off »

Spotify

Take Off!

explores the defiance of his own fears, love, trauma, and joy, using his life’s stories as a canvas to create a compilation of tracks that serve as one singular function.

New York City, singer, songwriter, Jake Lancer encapsulates the art of storytelling, the nostalgia of pop music, and the vitality of the New York City club kid scene in his debut EP as a solo artist.

His debut EP

Take Off!

, explores the defiance of his own fears, love, trauma, and joy, using his life’s stories as a canvas to create a compilation of tracks that serve as one singular function. Jake Lancer’s first single,

Feel Your Love

,

is an exploration of sexuality, the timeless nature of pop music, and Lancer’s longing for affection. Lancer’s cry for help becomes a celebration for the universal desire for love and intimacy. Another notable track on

TAKE OFF!

, is

Paris a

90’s inspired dance ballad that tells a story of having to say goodbye to a lover who is moving to Paris. Lyrically the song explores Jake’s internal monologue, not wanting to be selfish in keeping his lover in New York City while the track sonically pays references to some of the greats, like Whitney Houston to other artists like Big Wild and Years and Years. The last track on

Take Off

!, is

Tomorrowland

being the epic finale to what was an intense love affair, yet another reason to dance!

Jake Lancer’s influences range from artists like Lady Gaga, Abba, David Bowie, to Troye Sivan. Growing up closeted yet a part of the LGBTQIA community, Jake dreamed of creating pop music that not only inspired but could give a voice to anyone on their own healing journey. Now a proud out gay man, Jake Lancer is also a mental health professional as a working therapist in New York City. Having studied mental health, musical theater at various esteemed institutions, and worked as a part of the music industry at Universal Music Group, the multi-talented artist has translated his training and life experience into his music.

Jake Lancer’s music is more than an expression of pop and dance, but a mechanism for healing, a love story, and a voice for those feeling both heartbreak and life’s greatest euphoria.
