Brothers Tanner and Peyton Whitt, performing as the adrenalized American alt-pop band RAGS AND RICHES, aim to bring hope and inspire a generation of dreamers. The Lexington, Kentucky natives released their debut single, “Speed of Sound”, in 2019 and lit the spark for a wildfire breakout reaching over a million streams on platforms.

Starting 2023 off with a huge bang, their latest single “holiday.” is the ultimate feel good track to add to your party playlists. Seeing the duo head towards a more mainstream pop sound, “holiday.” is reminiscent of Foster the People and Glass Animals. Radiating good vibes, this is a carefree anthem about living your life to the fullest, with Tanner explaining, “It came from a place of feeling burnt out on the schedule we were living. We had been doing the same schedule for a few years and this was our “get me out of this way of living” mindset.”

Oozing attitude and bursting with energy, Tanner continues, “Peyton produced the beat and then we called our good friend DeMarko Murphy in to help write this one. Between the three of us I think we nailed the carefree/get me out of this “normal” way of living.”

The two man crew has performed over 200 shows in over 40 states, charted in top

#200

on NACC college radio charts, won two Lexington Music Awards for ‘Pop Artist of the Year’ as well as ‘Song of the Year’ and impressively clocked in over 4 million streams and over 1.5 million video views in just three years. Their debut album

Always Gold

released in 2022 via Sonablast! Records also hit over 1.4 million streams in its first week alone. With their current explosive success it’s clear these determined brothers are rising to the top.

bat présente son nouveau clip quadrachromie

– BAT – présente son nouveau clip « QUADRACHROMIE »

– BAT –

Nouveau clip « QUADRACHROMIE »

Quadra, quatre fois dix ans, quatre couleurs, “

The trio, composed of acclaimed singer-songwriter Candice Hoyes, Grammy-nominated SoundChemist and beatmaker Val Jeanty, and bassist Mimi Jones, contemplates existential themes such as maturity, coming of age, and deep physical, mental and spiritual change in their highly-anticipated single, which precedes their full-length album release on Friday April 14, 2023.

”What good is freedom if you don’t really feel free? Black girlhood maturation brings a range of evocative contradictory experiences, » confides Hoyes, and « in ‘Mood (Liberation Walk)’ we express the sudden sensation of a girl jumping/jumped into puberty, roped into a new emotional reality, physicality and societal positionality. As explored in the music video, she jumps through the portals of her own design right until the street lights flicker. Jumping is tied to shared childhood experiences, embodies connectivity and the chasmic leaps of growth in the Black womanly experience. » The music video is directed by Candice Hoyes who is a mixed media artist.

New single « Chill the fck out »

Following her battle with cancer, the song came as a reminder to take a deep breath and to not overthink.

Driving with a fine fusion of emotional integrity and energizing musicianship, songwriter and artist Cat Janice delivers a fresh thread of artistry to the modern music scene. The indie gem presents a skilful balance of soaring vocals, snappy guitar lines and euphoric synths, for a uniquely immersive take on alt pop. Proving both exciting and deeply human, Cat’s versatility knows no limits. From the dance-pop rhythms to finely-honed vocals, Cat is equal parts skill and character. Inspired by the likes of Remi Wolf, Benee, and Willow, Cat’s love for music transcends the limits of style. Her songs connect with their strong grooves and confident melodies that feel genuinely fresh.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia by a vastly musical family, Cat took to violin and piano at an early age. What followed was 14 years of classical training, with valuable time spent as part of orchestral productions, jazz bands and theatre shows. The writer/producer explains, “I’m trained in multiple styles of music, I want to use all of it. I don’t want to be defined by a genre. I want to create what I want, write about what I want, and sing in whatever style I want. If there’s anything cancer taught me, it’s that I need to just do what makes me happy. Because at the end of the day, your emotions through creativity is the only thing you’ll be able to leave behind, so say what you want!”

Though Cat’s energy and passion seem unparalleled, her life has not been without difficulties. The creative is fearlessly transparent about her recent battle with cancer, her new songs delving into both the struggles and successes of that journey. Her music and social media posts alike have taken the open road, connecting on an unrivaled level thanks to absolute sincerity and soul.

Her latest single “Chill the fck out” stems from the overwhelming feeling of being stressed out and burning the candle at both ends. The songwriter shares, “I would say to myself “chill the fck out” when I would stress about work or school. Then I finished the song while I was starting chemo and I would be stressed about going into that chapter of my life. “Chill the fck out” kind of became my mantra for getting through that time.” Encouraging listeners to stop overthinking and take a deep breath, the new single radiates with a groovy, fun, danceable beat and relatable, honest lyrics.

Despite her obstacles, Cat’s lust for life is infectious. Her new music is sure to light up the airwaves globally, uniting heartfelt lyrics and electrifying production. With a breadth of musicianship and optimistic grooves, Cat Janice is an unstoppable creative force.

alma mater shares their new single fading moon

Alma Mater shares their new single « Fading Moon »

Alma Mater

New single « Fading Moon »

Spotify

Entitled « Fading Moon », the track is the debut single from the veterans of the Los Angeles and Oregon music scene. The pair teamed up with producer Gregg Williams (Sheryl Crow, The Dandy Warhols, Blitzen Trapper, Emmylou Harris) to craft a poignant orchestral folk pop tune.

Andrew of the band confides, « I was never afraid of dying until I had a child. Fading Moon, on the surface, seems like a love letter to my two baby boys. But, in reality, it’s a means to comfort myself from my overwhelming fear of leaving them behind when I die. When pure and intense love is experienced, there is a level of pain associated with it. I’ve never been more happy, but I’ve never been more scared. So this seemingly sweet, folky ditty is really a pretty dark, anxious proclamation. » Musically, the hypnotic guitar riff of « Fading Moon » was written when Dirk was in hospice care, visiting his sick mother. Performing for her brought her joy and « Fading Moon » also represents the magic and healing nature of music.

Alma Mater

is Dirk Sullivan and Andrew Paul Woodworth. The two are veterans of the Los Angeles and of the Portland, Oregon music scenes. Sullivan was signed to Interscope Records with his band Love On Ice and Woodworth fronted Elephant Ride, signed to Sony Records. They have since spent two decades recording and touring in various projects.

Anxious for some musical therapy during the pandemic, the two started meeting in Woodworth’s garage. Sullivan was enthralled with an alternate tuning on his guitar and found himself writing songs at a blistering clip, totally inspired by this fresh reverence for his instrument. He found the perfect partner in Woodworth, who could add pathos and melody to his already provocative landscapes. Sullivan was wrestling with a recent divorce and with the slow demise of his mother. By contrast, Woodworth was about to welcome his first child. They found a kinship in the intensity of their disparate stories. Somehow those contrasting life experiences brought out something completely raw and beautiful and melancholic and utterly explosive in their writing.

Both men love hard and laugh big….both were suddenly unafraid to be uniquely and totally themselves, understanding that in a world full of temporary things, we are a perpetual feeling. The sound became a portrait of combating themes….time versus eternity, strength versus surrender, hard love versus fake hate. With Gregg Williams in the producer’s chair (Sheryl Crow, The Dandy Warhols, Blitzen Trapper, Pete Droge, Emmylou Harris) the recordings became orchestral and vibrant and full of page-turning narratives. It is a dream team for these three Oregonians who have amassed decades of honest, soulful and heartfelt music.

Leading single « Fading Moon » is a poignant folk dipped indie pop track. Andrew of the band confides, « I was never afraid of dying until I had a child. Fading Moon, on the surface, seems like a love letter to my two baby boys. But, in reality, it’s a means to comfort myself from my overwhelming fear of leaving them behind when I die. Performing for her brought her joy and « Fading Moon » also represents the magic and healing nature of music.

Alma Mater is a direct reflection of what is happening in the world today as much as it is defined by generations of influence. From its warm and rustic and plush production to its earnest and candid and sometimes irreverent writing, Alma Mater is a collision of opposing forces….like they’ve blown the dust off of an old box in the attic, only to find new pictures inside. « Fading Moon » is the first track off of their forthcoming album and is out now worldwide.

Kevin Ross shares his new single « Look My Way »

Kevin Ross

New single « Look My Way »

Spotify

In « Look My Way », Ross writes about the thrill associated with the early stages of infatuation. With undertones of classic R&B inspired by the early recordings of The Jackson 5, the song is layered with harmonious silky background vocals and dreamy rhythmics that complement Ross’ passionate and poised performance at the surface. Musing on his hopeful and passion-fueled desire, Ross tells the story of falling in love from afar and doing all he can to get her attention. At each chorus, he stays persistent as he sings, “I gotta make you look my way, because baby, there’s a lot of love on this side to give.” Influenced by the inherent romance embedded in classic R&B, “Look My Way” is a musical celebration of iconic influences through a smooth and modern lens.

Kevin Ross continues to make a standout achievement in R&B as an independent artist. His most recent single “Sweet Release” reached Top 10 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart and broke the record as the longest

#1

requested song on Sirius XM’s Heart & Soul.

Songwriter, producer, singer, performer and creator of his own music label, Art Society Music Group (ASMG), Kevin Ross is rising to the forefront of the culture with

#1

Billboard entries on the Adult R&B Chart, countless sold-out shows, and more than 100 million streams across platforms. Along the way, he has picked up nominations at the Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. Credits / collaborations include artists such as Ty Dolla Sign, Kevin Hart, Ne-Yo, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, T.I., Tank, Lecrae, and Toni Braxton to name a few.

When you take the wheel, you control your own destiny.

An accomplished singer, songwriter, producer, and performer, Kevin Ross determines his course on his own terms. The Washington, D.C.-born artist elevates R&B through eloquent songcraft, rich sonic architecture, and downright traffic-stopping vocals. Since launching his career in 2016, he has quietly risen to the forefront of the culture with over 100 million streams and counting,

#1

Billboard entries on the Adult R&B Songs Chart, and countless sold-out shows. Now, he continues to forge ahead with more music in 2023 under his artist-owned label Art Society Music Group (ASMG).

“I never wait around for anybody,” he explains. “I’m always making music with collaborators and by myself. Producing is part of who I was supposed to be all along as an artist. That’s not just an artist who can sing, but an artist who can write, produce, perform, and execute at the highest level possible in order to deliver to the masses.”

Kevin vividly recalls his first memory of music, listening to Lisa Stansfield’s “All Around The World” from his car seat as a baby. He went on to obsess over the likes of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, and Smokey Robinson. Following his high school years at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, he earned a scholarship and degree from Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music. Settling in Atlanta, he initially made waves behind-the-scenes, penning hit-charting tunes for the likes of Trey Songz, Toni Braxton, Tank, and many more.

As a solo artist, he wrote, recorded, and produced “Long Song Away” in 2016, toppling both the Adult R&B Songs Chart and the Urban Adult Contemporary Chart at

#1

. In between collaborations with Kevin Hart, Ne-Yo, and T.I., he built a bulletproof solo discography highlighted by The Awakening [2017], Drive EP [2017], and Audacity Vol. 1-2 [2020]. From the latter, “God Is A Genius” generated over 13+ million streams and counting across platforms. Along the way, he also toured alongside legends Babyface, KEM & Maxwell, in addition to picking up nominations at the Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards.

In 2019, he founded Art Society Music Group as the home for all of his releases. With Kevin at the helm, 2021’s Drive 2 [ASMG/Empire] represented another high achievement. It bowed at

#1

on the iTunes Top R&B/Soul Albums Chart, while “Looking For Love” vaulted onto the Top 10 of the Billboard Adult R&B Radio Play Chart.

Beyond acclaim from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and BET, Washington Post proclaimed, “Ross doesn’t sound like he’s trying to find a musical identity. He knows who he is, and his album reflects that.”

“Drive 2 definitely shows growth,” he notes. “It’s been five years since the last one. I was producing a lot more on the second installment. I’m way more confident in my ability. It’s leaps and bounds better than the first. It’s all just time, growth, and awareness.”

You can hear it, see it, and feel it on his standout single “Sweet Release.” Proving to be another smash produced and written by Kevin, the single is currently climbing to the top of the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart after breaking the record with the longest number one requested song on Sirius XM’s Heart & Soul last year. With bright guitar threads around a simmering beat as his voice flutters from vulnerable verses into a vital hook highlighted by hypnotic high register, Kevin observes, “Everybody has a guilty pleasure or something to take them away from the daily monotony It’s more so about escapism than it’s meant to be sexual or sensual. For me, the main key is the escape. If you’re riding in the car, you can play the song. It could just feel liberating like a cool breeze. This song is transformative in a sense. Wherever you are, it can be your soundtrack.”

In Ross’ upcoming single “Look My Way”, he writes about the thrill associated with the early stages of infatuation. With undertones of classic R&B inspired by the early recordings of The Jackson 5, “Look My Way” is layered with harmonious silky background vocals and dreamy rhythmics that complement Ross’ passionate and poised performance at the surface. Musing on his hopeful and passion-fueled desire, Ross tells the story of falling in love from afar and doing all he can to get her attention. Ultimately, Kevin keeps creating the soundtrack to your life.

“When you listen to me, I hope the music makes you feel something, puts a smile on your face, or provides comfort,” he leaves off. “It’s much bigger than me. I want you to make memories to these songs. I couldn’t ask for anything else. For me to be complete, I need to write, produce, arrange, mix, and perform on stage to affect people. I feel like I’m doing what I need to do, and this is where I’m meant to be today.”

“Look My Way” is his latest release and the first single from Kevin Ross’ upcoming

project.
