Margaux Simone

Nouveau clip « Age d’or moderne »

Speaking about the EP track and video for

‘Doubts’

,

the band shared:

“‘Doubts’ immediately grabs your ear, opening with very close and floaty falsetto vocals. Tapping into electronic roots, ‘Doubts’ starts with a gentle verse and chorus before dipping, then diving into a deeply effected vocal chop and bass-led drop. Constantly moving in different directions, ‘Doubts’ mirrors the chaos of an inner voice that’s constantly trying to lead you astray. The music video for ‘Doubts’ is a smokey, magma-infused art piece showcasing a dancer battling with her inner demons amidst an active volcano and dark, steaming lava fields looming ominously in the background of every shot.”

the dionysus effect shares their new single darryl

The Dionysus Effect shares their new single « Darryl »

The Dionysus Effect

New single « Darryl »

Spotify

Entitled « Darryl », the hypercharged alt-rock song is based upon the bestselling book

Darryl,

which received acclaim from

NPR, The Atlantic, The Observer, Buzzfeed

among many others. The book was released under CLASH Brooks and lead singer of the band, Christoph Paul.

Christoph of the band confides, « I love juxtapositions, so having this hyper-masculine rock song about a cuckold who feels most alive when someone sleeps with his wife felt like a fun and interesting rock song to do. Rock n roll is so much about assertive masculine energy, so this song kind of flips that on its head. I wanted to create something fun with some edge similar to the book by Jackie Ess that I was lucky to edit and publish with CLASH Books. Artists get inspired by their day jobs all the time, and editing ‘Darryl’ got me hyped to write a song that celebrates the cult-novel and its legendary titular character. »

Lead singer and bassist Christoph Paul recently teamed up with Eve 6 frontman Max Collins for his book memoir, and the band’s rock publishers are Akashic Books – Fake Names and Books Against Girls, Third Man Books – Jack White, and CLASH Books with The Dionysus Effect. The band has also been featured in

Earmilk, Atwood, V13

among many others after releasing their debut single « Stars ».

New York based trio The Dionysus Effect was formed in 2020 in a basement with a passion to write songs that conjure the raw energy and timeless spirit of rock n’ roll. Driven to lead a rock revival and bring pop music lovers back to rock, members Christoph Paul (vocals, bass), Sean Quinn Hanley (guitar), and Brett Petersen (drums) combine their diverse musical backgrounds and talents for a unique explosion of sound. Their music is an enthralling hybrid of grunge rock, darkwave indie, alt-rock and pop, that forges a poetic expression filled with furious arena energy.

The Dionysus Effect’s music explores themes of love, addiction, passion, and the complexities found in loss and hardship. As Christoph and Brett both being professional authors, they are now using their music as another medium to further convey the message, “to truly live and enjoy the highs and find purpose and resilience with the lows.”

In their latest track “Stars”, the band creates a passionate ode to that triumphant love that feels just out of reach. Grunge filled snarling guitars and warm evocative vocals seamlessly glide over a hypnotic alt-pop bass and 90’s alt rock influenced soundscapes in this exciting debut single. “‘Stars’ is a bitter-sweet alt-rock song about love and loss. When you look up toward the stars with faith that you’ll be with your soul mate and stay with them even when they are gone,” confides Christoph Paul. Brimming with a melodic pop sensibility and the true heart and soul of rock music, “Stars” is an exhilarating first taste of what’s to come from this rising trio.

Encapsulating the influence the band has on many of their listeners, the name ‘The Dionysus Effect’ is when the passion overtakes you and you feel most alive with Dionysus energy. Dionysus was a Greek God, who in ancient times brought about ecstasy, insanity and ritual madness, mirroring when the band performs their live show and puts the audience under a trance — that is The Dionysus Effect. The band is set to release their second single “Darryl” from their debut album on March 25th worldwide.

Avec ce deuxième single,

COURCHEVAL

Nouveau clip « One I Need »

Formé en 2015, le duo

Two Another

soul

, de

R&B alternatif

et de

musique électronique contemporaine

. Le style

Two Another

thiaé présente son nouveau single my love

Thiaé présente son nouveau single « My Love »

Thiaé

Nouveau single « My Love »

The track is an autobiographical one for Remar who confides « I felt seriously stuck, sidetracked from my purpose. My reality had become so skewed and I’d grown into someone I wasn’t really proud of at all. My focus had insidiously shifted into staying fame adjacent.it all ended quite abruptly, ties were cut off and I was completely drained over trying so desperately hard to seem like I wasn’t trying hard at all. The song is about being unexpectedly plucked into the lives of others just to be discarded like fast fashion or a happy meal toy. »

25 year old New York City Native Lisa Remar is a Japanese American record producer and singer songwriter. She released her first EP “Still Good” in the beginning of 2021 – Lisa continues to share deeply intimate moments through her timeless songs and unmistakable singing voice.

Her new music is even more gut wrenching than our first impressions of her – hi… the EP is an exciting, bittersweet collection that’ll have the listener singing along in the car after a long day.

Beth Keeping shares

New video « I’m not looking for a friend »

“I’m not looking for a friend” is the vibey new single exploring situationships and self-confidence.

Beth Keeping is a UK based singer/songwriter with a captivating voice and eloquent flair for storytelling. With colourful pop melodies and empowering themes, her honest and wistful songwriting has connected with people around the world, with self-worth and sincerity being at the forefront of her music.

Inspired by artists such as Lauv, Julia Michaels and John Mayer and with a Taylor Swift-esque style, Keeping has gained global attention, travelling to Singapore, Ireland and the USA to lend her writing skills to other artists. After receiving an allied response from fans and critics for some of her previous releases, and gaining close to a million views on TikTok over the pandemic, Keeping felt inspired to start focusing on her own music as an artist.

“I’m not looking for a friend” is the vibey new single exploring situationships and self-confidence. With influences from electro-pop producer Zedd shining through, the liberating track is flushed with airy, uplifting melodies and playful synths, creating a dance-worthy, sing-along anthem. “It’s about being clear on what you want and intentional about going after it. It recognises that friendships can gradually develop into something more, and this process can be complicated and confusing, but you can’t sit in that space forever – eventually you have to make a decision either way.” In modern dating, we can get so preoccupied with acting cool and casual, and not wanting to show our hand, however the new track challenges people to be more intentional and open about what they want.

Keeping’s desire to champion and empower women is evident not only through her song lyrics, but also in her initiative ‘Write Like A Girl’, which shines a light on female songwriters. Having only been founded in 2018, it has grown exponentially with two UK tours and sell-out writers round shows in London, Newcastle and Bristol. These successes, along with her music gaining places on prestigious Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday and New Pop UK, is just a taste of what we expect to see from her in 2022.

New single “It’s An Attitude”

Spotify

Fusing together Deep, Organic, Old School and Nu-disco House, all with an undercurrent of Funk and classic Disco, the duo dig up old sonic memories from their audience and build it into a new one.

Intro to Music Theory is the project of musicians, DJs, and producers Matt Waters and Matthew Busch. The Southern-California born and Hainan-based duo have racked up a plethora of experience in a multitude of genres- first in the classical, jazz and freelance world in the United States, and later as electronic artists and producers in China. They first performed together in Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps as teenagers. The two reunited almost a decade later in 2017, when they simultaneously moved to Hainan, China to teach university-level music.

In 2020, they released their debut EP,

Toot the Bad Horn

, an eclectic mix of house and instrumental-fusion. These tracks are what propelled them into the NFT and Crypto space with incredible success, partnering with Charged Particles and NFTYthings to sell the 15th most expensive t-shirt of all time. This involvement urged them to form their own distribution company, Unchained Music, recognizing the potential for musicians to have control over their own work, find a new path towards monetization, and start pushing back against an industry that hasn’t been putting artists first. Unchained Music is a 100% free music distribution platform powered by DeFi and NFTs. No subscription fees. No cut of royalties. Unchained Music’s distribution platform is indistinguishable from any other music distribution platform, requiring zero knowledge of Web3, NFTs, or blockchain. The platform will create a more transparent, trustless system for the music industry. Intro to Music Theory’s new single “It’s An Attitude” will be the first track distributed through the platform.

“It’s An Attitude” is the result of a lot of experimentation and study. Busch shares, “The music is inspired by our favorite moments spinning tunes and blowing our horns to dancing crowds, in our quest to add a new experience to our favorite tracks.” Fusing together Deep, Organic, Old School and Nu-disco House, all with an undercurrent of Funk and classic Disco, the duo dig up old sonic memories from their audience and build it into a new one. With the goal to combine the acoustic and electronic realms, bringing a fresh look and sound to the trumpet and trombone sphere with a groovy, funky thread throughout all their releases, Intro to Music Theory have created a sound uniquely their own.

With tours in China, New Zealand, Thailand, and the United States under their belt, Intro to Music Theory is set for an exciting 2022!
