Emerging East London based singer KAE SERA blends modern day electro-pop with sounds from the 50’s and 60’s to create something which is both unique yet familiar. Originally from Liverpool, the artist grew up in a city rich in musical heritage, exposed to the nostalgic soundscapes of the bands that made the city famous. These sounds subliminally fed her musical appetite, giving her music a vintage haze and maturity. With a fascination for literature and poetry, her songs provide a captivating, storytelling experience, pulling you into her world.

Her latest single “Past Tense” documents the fading memories of a once cherished relationship, where one person is left with an overwhelming sense of inadequacy. Reflecting on how the love that was once shared gradually becomes mere words that describe a long lost state of being, and a distant past that can never be relived. The artist shares, “My music is often about weighing up contradictory emotions and holding the good and the bad together.”

“Past Tense” sees KAE SERA’s electronic approach evolve. Having started its conception in the Balearics, the artist found inspiration in the beat of chillout moments at sunset. Written in Ibiza, mixed and recorded in France and released from England, the song’s unique blend of influences from different cultures and locations emphasises the beauty in how music can create its own universal language.

Lavish band KARMACODA will be releasing a dance remix of their single ‘Dare’ by American producer E39. The remix, which premiered on Electronic Groove, will be available on the 19th of May via Sola Musa Music. The original single is featured on their latest album, Lessons In Time, which saw the light in October of 2022.

Karmacoda’s work has been remixed by the likes of Extrawelt, Sailor & I, Lycoriscoris, KRONO, and Birds Of The West, which received support from Dancing Astronaut, Magnetic Mag, Stereofox, HMWL, EDM Identity, FAZE Magazine, and Decoded Mag. Both their original music and remixes received spins on NPR Music.

The triplet’s own music has earned support and compliments from many tastemaker magazines, including CLASH Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, NOTION Magazine, Magnetic Mag, Hotpress, Metal Magazine, Medium, Backseat Mafia, CelebMix, Son Of Marketing, and VENTS Magazine among others and received airtime on Irish National radio RTÉ 2XM with Dan Hegarty.

E39 has redefined Jessica Ford’s vocals with his new remix, leading her from a smoky jazz speakeasy to the strobing dancefloor. A four-on-the-floor kick entwines with a funk bassline to set the groove in motion, animating the track with each passing moment.

Based in San Francisco, USA, KARMACODA is comprised of Jessica Ford (vocals), Brett Crockett (aka B. on vocals and producer) and Japanese-American multi-instrumentalist Eric Matsuno (bass and other unique elements). The trio’s sound has been compared to a unique mix of Paloma Faith, Adele, and Pixie Lott.

As a DJ, remixer, and producer, Peter Tanico, also known as E39, has been a DJ in NYC since the mid-’80s, mixing cutting-edge dance music into extended club performances under the moniker DJ Peter T. His passion is music production and remixing, where he strives to perfect his skills, creating works comparable to the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Kraak & Smaak, and Mark Knight.

E39 shares his appreciation, grateful for the opportunity to work with the band:

KDG se positionne en « Avant Gardiste » avec son nouveau single et sa marque streetwear !

KDG ne cesse d’évoluer de jour en jour. Se différencier, prendre un temps d’avance et entreprendre. « Trop avancé pour mon âge, je connais des choses qui peuvent me mettre en danger ». Ce nouveau single « Avant Gardiste » n’est pas seulement de la musique, c’est une déclaration, un manifeste.

Être en avance sur son âge et son temps.

Sa maturité et son style se font sentir dans chaque punchline « Je peux rouler en 4 Litres 2 avec la prestance qu’un ministre n’aura jamais même en classe S ; Je peux voler en classe économique avec la classe qu’un boss n’aura jamais même en business classe ».

KDG est un jeune rappeur de 16 ans originaire d’Haïti et né à Stains. L’artiste qui a toujours eu la musique dans la peau a commencé à enregistrer ses premières séances studio alors qu’il n’avait que 8 ans. A 12 ans, KDG a monté son propre média avec ses deux cousins ce qui lui a permis de réaliser ses propres clips.

Auteur, compositeur, monteur vidéo et beatmaker vivant actuellement à Goussainville a passé une partie de son enfance à Sarcelles et Garges-lès-Gonesse. Mais plus que tout KDG est le plus jeune artiste d’Europe à être signé en maison de disque puisqu’il a signé sur Sony Music France dès l’âge de 15 ans.

Le style de musique KDG est tout à fait unique. À travers sa musique, il transmet l’idée que l’âge n’est pas un obstacle à la réussite et qu’il est possible de réaliser ses rêves si l’on est suffisamment déterminé.

Son inspiration musicale provient du groupe Migos mais aussi Travis Scott et cela se ressent dans son rap dynamique et entraînant. Les punchlines de ses morceaux sont particulièrement percutantes.

Son style de vie est également un thème récurrent de ses textes, reflétant ses aspirations de succès et ses objectifs. KDG est un jeune prodige du rap et il continue sur sa lancée affirmant son talent morceau après morceau. KDG est une pépite du rap français à suivre de très très près.

DZD’s absolute obsession with performing live is the catalyst of their continuously heavy tour schedule (if Dale isn’t in prison and/or the world isn’t ending). Mike Rogers share their new song « Live Out Loud »

Mike Rogers in an Amsterdam based indie dance trio who make bold music to make big musical gestures without sensationalism. Encouraging listeners to live in the moment, Mike Mago, TWR72 and the lead singer of Kita Menari have joined forces to craft something which is unlike anything you’ve heard before.

Mike and Roger met during the famous Dutch underground electro parties in early 2000, where they both performed as DJ’s. The raw and energetic scene saw the two playing a mixture of electro, French house, fidget and techno. As years passed by, they both started to develop their own sound, but noticed they had a similar dream; to start a live act inspired by the acts they grew up with, including Mike Snow, Foals, Editors, Van She and Goose to name a few. Thus, they created Mike Rogers, as a way to bring an extra challenge and development next to their DJ and production career.

Bringing in singer Micha to add big vocals to their signature sound, the combined creativity of the three has reached a whole new level. Their upcoming debut album combines analog with digital and retro with modern, as they explore the roots of their inspiration as music fans and combine that with the skills they have developed over the years.

Their latest single is the title-track off of their upcoming debut album. “Live Out Loud” is the pinnacle song of the album and cuts two ways. The band shares, “The song was written during a period where, we felt, far sides of the political spectrum were very present. We wanted to motivate the group known as the silent middle to stand up for their (slightly more nuanced) thoughts/visions/ideas.” The trio continues, “We also wanted to seek overlap in standing up for your idea and being outgoing whilst losing oneself in the moment. We all have to live out loud more. If you don’t live life fully, you don’t live life at all. You have to live it out loud to make sense of it, because otherwise ‘you’ll never know what it’s all about.’ And if you know what it’s all about, you have to fight for it.”

Their debut album combines analog with digital. Retro with the modern. As they explore the roots of their inspiration as music fans and combine that with their music writing and production skills they have developed over the years. During the writing process, most of the band members shoot over short ideas to each other which another band member then picks up and develops. The ideas get passed along or blown off till there is an album. During this process they agreed that it felt like a second nature to be bold and make big musical gestures without the sensationalism.

This approach is not only found in the music but also in the message of the record. Why do people always have to choose between black and white? You don’t have to choose between extremes. You can be modest in your opinions but still Live Out Loud !

This is what Mike Rogers is sharing with you. Go out there and live in the moment. You don’t always have to choose sides. The music represents this throughout. All styles from opposite sides are mixed to create a perfect balance in the middle or leave the listener with an ambiguous feeling.

Verra Cruz form the British alt-rock infused musical project of trio Marc James (guitar/lap steel/vocals), Henry Cross (bass) & Jimmy Cooke (drums). Known for their hard-hitting anthems and signature lap steel guitar, of which they stumbled upon in a small boutique guitar shop in Memphis, TN, the three-piece band have been creating mighty, raucous tracks, laced with spiritual and personal themes.

Their latest single “King” is about the peaks and troughs we face in our lives. Written 12 years ago when singer Marc James was working building stages for festivals and events, he would dream about one day being the person to perform on them. He confides, “It was grueling work and we were barely making it, sliding into debt. It felt like my dreams were slipping away. Things were tough for me and my family and I wanted to write a song that lifted me up above the circumstances.”

The rowdy, energetic track bursts with crashing percussion, grungy guitars and fiery vocals. Emitting an overall feel-good and empowering atmosphere, “King” is an antidote to the constant barrage of “you are not enough,” that we are slammed with every day. Encouraging listeners to remember their worth, the band shares, “It’s easy to forget that our value isn’t in what we have achieved or what we have materially but we are of value no matter our circumstances. We can walk the royal way, hold our heads high. Put others first and pursue the way of love.. That’s how we win. That’s how we are kings.”

Taking influence from rock and roll greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Rage Against The Machine, their dark chord voicing and anthemic energy come to life in a way that provokes emotion, energy and purely authentic melancholy. Après s’être rencontré sur une tournée au Maroc en 2019 et se découvrant des affinités humaines, musicales et culturelles, leur amitié et collaboration professionnelle s’est ensuite développée autour de sessions de studio et à travers les soirées

, partys mythiques de musique arabe à New York, Washington, Détroit et Montréal, instigués par Wake Island, où ils ont invité La Bronze à y performer de bouillants DJ sets.

Ils ont ensuite voulu perpétuer leur exploration artistique mutuelle à travers cette nouvelle pièce <3 <~je~> 3>, traitant des méandres de l’égo et des dialogues qu’on peut entretenir avec lui malgré nous ou pour notre bien. Ils y font le point sur leur lien paradoxal avec l’égo, le combat juxtaposé à l’histoire d’amour qu’ils entretiennent avec lui, leurs victoires envers son ombre et ce qu’il leur reste à travailler quant à son emprise.

Auteure-compositrice interprète québécoise aux origines marocaines, La Bronze est le reflet d’une génération décomplexée, belle et féroce. Elle a chaviré des millions de fans à travers le monde avec sa reprise de la chanson Formidable de Stromae. Elle vient tout juste de sortir son nouvel album Vis- moi sous l’étiquette Audiogram.

Gueules Noires présente le clip de « Qu’elle me revienne »

Emmené par l’artiste belge Dierick, Gueules Noires dévoilera en juin un album rock, incisif et radical.

Les Gueules noires désignent autant les mineurs belges, exploités dans les mines de charbon que les esclaves congolais torturés et anéantis pour les seuls intérêts du capitalisme lors du colonialisme. Dans les deux cas, l’album Gueules Noires parle d’êtres humains ramenés au rang de marchandises, de bétail ou d’outils.

Après Diep Graaf paru il y a quelques semaines, voici Qu’elle me revienne, nouvel extrait de l’album à découvrir. Ce titre évoque les violences souvent mortelles faites aux femmes d’esclaves congolais, sous l’occupation colonialiste belge où elles étaient détenues en otage alors que leurs époux s’enfonçaient « au cœur des ténèbres » pour récolter le caoutchouc. À son retour, l’homme cherche sa femme disparue : «qu’elle me revienne, même dans un sac, même dans une boîte». Un titre révolté à découvrir sur l’album de Gueules Noires.

Artiste polymorphe, Dierick prépare son nouveau projet, l’album de rock Gueules Noires prévu pour le mois de juin 2023.

Dans sa carrière, Dierick a déjà revêtu toutes les peaux. Du théâtre à la musique en passant par la danse ou l’expérimentation plastique, il voyage de supports en territoires, empreint d’une inspiration intarissable.

Depuis plus de trente ans, il multiplie les actions artistiques et les collaborations; de projets reconnus et de recherches intimes, jouant entre image et anonymat. Ses œuvres sont visibles, invisibles, indivisibles. Il est artiste sombre qui tend vers la lumière…Mehr Licht !

Le projet Gueules Noires met à l’honneur le traitement inhumain réservé aux mineurs, qu’ils soient belges ou congolais. Aujourd’hui, un siècle plus tard rien n’a réellement changé. L’album a été enregistré au studio ICP de Bruxelles et contient 12 titres incisifs, 12 coups de pioche, 12 coups de machette !

L’album Gueules Noires évoque la vie des travailleurs dans les mines de charbon du nord et des conditions de travail dans les colonies belges. Plus qu’une évocation historique, Dierick rend ici hommage à tous les mineurs et au courage des femmes. Cet épisode de l’industrialisation fait écho à la régression sociale d’aujourd’hui.
