Ava Baya cumule beaucoup de talents ! Cette jeune artiste de 22 ans est comédienne, chanteuse, ancienne gymnaste et dévoile aujourd’hui son premier clip pour Pandemia.

Repérée en 2019 par l’émission The Voice, Ava Baya fera chavirer la France en rejoignant l’équipe de Julien Clerc. Depuis, en parallèle à sa carrière bien remplie de comédienne, elle prépare son projet musical entre jazz, chanson française et influences urbaines.

Pandemia est un titre de variété urbaine qui dresse un portrait de notre société et du chaos qui y règne. Plus de repères, l’humanité se perd et la violence s’est installée.  »

Premier volet d’une tétralogie, le clip vidéo de Pandemia aborde l’innocence dans un univers apocalyptique dont on ne revient pas indemne.

Jeune artiste touche à tout, Ava Baya est actrice et chanteuse. Ancienne sportive, elle est diplômée du Conservatoire National d’art dramatique de Paris. Sa formation musicale s’est faite dans les pianos bars et les jam sessions parisiens (Trois Maillets, Grand Colbert…) et les boîtes de nuit (Trabendo, La Bellevilloise, Rex club…).

En 2019, elle est repérée pour participer à l’émission The Voice aux côtés de Julien Clerc qui décèle cette « folie douce » en elle. En 2020, elle sort son premier titre Bugger, et en 2022 son premier clip Pandemia.

Avec Pandemia, Ava Baya mélange le jazz et la chanson française avec la culture hip-hop. Le titre explore l’universalité qui rassemble chaque humain et la difficulté à s’exprimer. Ave Baya s’est produite sur des scènes mythiques comme Le Palais des festivals de Cannes, le Trianon, le Palais des Congrès. Elle prépare un spectacle entre groove et émotion, et débarque sur la scène de la chanson française urbaine.

On stage, the band has performed at the Isle of Wight Festival, where Biffy Clyro and Noel Gallagher headlined, and the UK independent Truck Festival, which booked Wolf Alice, Foals, and Two Door Cinema Club.

The Reading-based band was started by Gary Kingham (lead vocal and guitar) and Josh Woodward (bass) who met in college, but, after a few auditions, recruited Sam Igoe (drums) and Kristian Bell (guitar). The members share a diverse range of inspirations, citing the likes of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, Stone Roses, The Mars Volta, Libertines, The Smiths, Foo Fighters, Wesley Gonzalez, and Foals. Their sound can be likened to Arctic Monkeys, Foals, The White Stripes, and Pink Floyd.

Mellor gives us insight into the new single:

“MMBTO is a tragic love story. It’s about a suicide pact, a couple who end their lives together peacefully before the world consumes them. In a world of war and global warming, it’s a sobering fantasy of walking into the ocean together, side by side. It’s a track that doesn’t quite follow our usual formula. It came together organically, stemming from Kris’s (lead guitar) pedalling riff and the ambient guitar line/vocal combination. We loved the sound and feel so we simply had to record it. It’s definitely a sound we’d experiment more with moving forward.”

Le guitariste et chanteur nantais Tilmann nous dévoile le clip en animation de Desert Moon, troisième extrait du EP Chrysalis.

Les paroles de la chanson Desert Moon ayant été imaginées à vélo, le long des paysages d’Ardèche, le parti pris du clip est de représenter un univers à la croisée des chemins entre le texte de la parolière-cycliste et ses ressentis propres au moment où les paroles naissent, les cheveux dans le vent et l’ivresse au cœur.

Pour ce troisième clip, Tilmann a choisi de travailler avec Hendy Mary, animateur 2D grâce à qui l’idée d’origine a pris forme, s’est mue en une merveilleuse création graphique, prenant comme référence visuelle l’album Les équinoxes de Cyril Pedrosa, artiste très apprécié du compositeur.

Une fois de plus, Tilmann nous invite dans un univers folk généreux et touchant. Ses mélodies s’inspirent des grands espaces aquatiques et convoquent en même temps le souvenir des veillées autour du feu.

Avec les six titres du disque Chrysalis, le folkman Tilmann se fait passeur d’histoires, à l’instar des voix de la tradition populaire qui ont accompagné sa quête, tissant de sa voix et de sa guitare des chansons qu’il livre avec sincérité. Mais si la composition est intime, les orchestrations et arrangements sont audacieux, ouverts.

Tilmann honore son goût de la rencontre en partageant l’interprétation avec trois musiciens qui enrichissent les chansons de leurs couleurs singulières, à la croisée d’univers trad, jazz et musiques du monde : Pierre Lenormand (batterie), Rémi Allain (basse et contrebasse), Pierre Thary (violoncelle et trompette).

Ensemble ils nous font entrer dans le cercle, pour raconter à plusieurs voix ces histoires de voyage, de famille, de nature. Cet album-cocon nous enveloppe, et nous aide à rêver.

Alors qu’ils n’ont que 11 ans, AK 47 et Dr. Boog se rencontrent pour la première fois en studio dans la cité du bois l’abbé à Champigny-Sur-Marne.

Malheureusement, bien qu’ils soient encadrés par un grand du quartier, les aléas de la vie de rue prennent rapidement le pas sur leur passion, et les deux compères s’éloignent des micros…

Après une première incarcération, AK 47 est de nouveau arrêté en 2018 pour possession d’héroïne (saisie record qui fait la une des journaux).

A l’extérieur, Dr. Boog fait alors signer Black Crystal chez Wati B

. Commence ainsi un projet aussi fou qu’inédit : réaliser un album à distance avec l’un des deux artistes en prison.

Des coupures de courant à la gamelle, AK 47 y raconte le quotidien d’un taulard loin de toute forme de romance, tandis que Dr. Boog, lui, donne sa vision de l’extérieur, désabusé mais toujours mélodieux.

Entitled “Have You Ever?” the track features a duet with Los Angeles based synth/alt pop producer/songwriter Party Nails who adds a new dimension to the original viral single. “Have You Ever? » is an existential narrative « about questioning everything you’ve been taught, » proclaims vocalist Jonathan Horstmann. Featuring penetrating basslines, striking synths and attention grabbing melodies, “Have You Ever?” is a relatable anthem about living in the questions of life.

Austin, TX-based Urban Heat is a three-piece post-punk band known for their magnetic blend of immersive new wave sounds and dark pop hooks woven with lyrics of timely socially conscious messages. The result is a cathartic and nostalgic listening experience, delivering musings on existence and romanticism against a penetrating industrial gothic pulse.

Heavily influenced by 80s post-punk and dark wave, Urban Heat combines striking synths, Hortsmann’s

throaty baritone, and unexpected melodies

with hints of melancholy fused together for a signature spellbinding journey. The band formed in 2019 when multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Jonathan Horstmann enlisted Kevin Naquin and Paxel Foley to form a live show based on his analog sound design. From sharing stories until late in the evening to bonding with the ones you love, the track discusses the passage of time and how getting older becomes easier when you have healthy ways to cope. With a total running-time of just 10 minutes, Giift says more than what most artists are capable of during a full-length album. Her debut-EP, ‘Archives’, was both an impressive and inspiring release by an 18-year old young girl whose modest and almost shy appearance would go and shine a light on the international neo-soul and R’n’B-scene of 2022.

Giift interprets the youth in her lyrics and sing them out in her own way with a remarkably pure voice. She has a self-taught, boundless way of producing harmonies and musical layers making her minimalistic yet complex and grandiose sound stand out and portray a young girl whose mind, body and soul becomes her music.

Her final release of the year, ‘If You Leave’, represents the state of Giift…

She was born in Pretoria, South Africa, on February 18th 2004, was adopted and grew up as a small-town kid of Havnsø, Denmark. In her childhood home, there were no limits to creativity and Giift wrote her own songs at a very young age – a mental process that progressed naturally with her passion for art and music production.

Her debut-single, ’Fed Up’, premiered on PAPER Magazine and since then, Giift has been praised by leading international media like Ones To Watch, Flaunt Magazine, COLORS and Metal Magazine.

est le titre du nouveau single/vidéo de LEDA. Le titre est extrait de l’album « Marocco Speed », sorti en avril dernier par Il Piccio Records, et distribué par Artist First.

Une chambre, un lit, une maison. Les paroles de « Tu mi bruci » font référence à une relation qui n’est plus forte, avec le choix d’un langage plus poétique que descriptif. Musicalement, la chanson joue avec des vides et des pleins rythmiques, des riffs de guitare électrique entrelacés avec des parties de synthé. Le nouveau single du groupe italien fait également appel à la voix et aux guitares slide de Paolo Benvegnù.

«mais seulement dans la salle de répétition, il a revêtu une apparence complète, liée à notre écoute partagée (comme Balthazar, Sleaford Mods). Par rapport aux territoires crépusculaires sur lesquels nous nous déplaçons musicalement, la texture sonore est lumineuse et dynamique, contrastant avec les paroles qui parlent d’une distance et d’une incapacité à communiquer ».»

Dans le clip vidéo – tourné par le réalisateur Andrea Giancarli et photographié par Daniele Castelli – la pierre poreuse, fendue et taillée, est vivante et, baignée par la lumière de la flamme vacillante, elle met en scène un conflit comme il y en a beaucoup. Les puissants murs en travertin de la « Cave Cavam » de Rosara (Italie) semblent contextualiser les deux protagonistes dans un environnement familier, une énorme maison qui les avale dans une danse qui devient dangereuse. Les masques de Giulia et Giacomo de la Compagnia dei Folli cachent deux visages de chair muets et cachés, mais qui doivent être révélés. La vidéo devient l’expression visuelle d’un projet qui étudie les éléments matériels et symboliques du territoire : le travertin, qui ne se dresse que dans des zones géologiques particulières riches en cours d’eau et le feu, encore au centre d’importantes célébrations et de rites de passage dans le monde rural. Le projet a été réalisé grâce à la Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ascoli Piceno.
