Hanne Mjøen is not your average pop queen. The Norwegian alt/pop artist creates music that makes you want to dance, with lyrics that make you want to cry. Her intoxicating sound is coated in a dark, raw edge, providing a comforting reminder that it’s ok to be flawed, while her lyrics pull the trigger for an outlet of pent-up emotions.

Mjøen is just a small-town girl, living in a lonely world. The child of a hairdresser and a salesman, she came of age in Oppdal, a small mountain village. She had never dreamt of becoming a pop star. All she wanted to do was to sing and write songs, and hopefully have them make an emotional connection with someone out there. Pop music as a genre – with its booming choruses, spine-tingling chord progressions and lyrics about love, longing and betrayal – not its popularity, was what had appealed to her.

Following the release of her EP,

Emotional Fever

, in this second chapter, Mjøen describes the stages and struggles you go through being in a relationship. Feeling happy with the love, but unhappy with putting yourself in second place. She fell in love, but fell apart as well. This is her journey to find the strength to say it as it is. And she is taking you with her on this journey.

Her latest single “Bad for My Health” takes you on this rollercoaster ride, as she explains,  »Sometimes I think love is bad for me, and in some ways it is, because it isn’t always good and we’re not always good for each other. We do toxic things and we have our selfish moments. “You’re bad for my health but you’re good for my heart” is my way of describing the ups and downs of a relationship when you’re too honest with each other, fighting over stuff that don’t really matter, not knowing if you should take a break or break up, but because it feels so good when it’s good, you keep trying. »

To date, her music has garnered over 23 million streams, receiving airplay in over 25 countries worldwide, including Annie Mac and BBC Radio 1. In 2021 she was the 7th most played artist on Norwegian radio and has been praised by the likes of

Entitled « I Hate Me More », the hard-hitting punk track narrates a broken heart by channeling high, raw energy!

The song, written by singer and guitarist Caitlin Montclare, takes us on a journey of crude self-awareness while we are at our lowest points. Whether it is the result of a toxic relationship, obsessively comparing yourself to others, or feeling unliked, everyone has those moments of low self-esteem or self-consciousness. The song consists of aggressive vocals, ripping riffs and a heavy bass solo. The track was produced by Grammy nominated Barb Morrison and mixed by Jonathan Jetter.

MONTE was formed by singer and lead guitarist, Caitlin Montclare in 2017, later adding drummer and audio engineer, Ismael Baiz, and bassist Meghan Rose to the official line- up. Star2 is an Asian American singer, songwriter, and rapper from San Diego, California who stunningly fuses pop, R&B, and hip-hop for a captivating collision of sound. A true survivor, Star2 was born into a refugee camp in Thailand. His people, the Ka-ren from Burma, have suffered genocide by the Burmese military and Myanmar government. His family walked 500 miles after their village was burned to the ground and attacked by soldiers. The camp, Mae La, is one of nine at the border with Myanmar, and has over 55,000 people.

With no father or mother, his grandmother was chosen in a lottery at the camp to migrate to the U.S. and took six-year-old Star2 along with her four other children to begin a new life. “I’m a big fan of the mix between clean French Touch beats and US Pop / R&B vocals. I’m very inspired by the collaborations between legendary French Touch producers such as Daft Punk, Kavinsky, and Busy P with pop world stars like The Weeknd, and Pharrell Williams… I’ve always wanted to try something in that style at my level. Recently I had the huge opportunity to feat. with the Grammy Nominated singer Jimmy Burney who has the perfect voice for that kind of music so I’ve given it a shot and I had so much fun doing it. Fun fact, while producing it the studio was struck by lightning so maybe it is a sign!

Entitled « Still Breathing », the song is the first single off of her forthcoming full length. While the first half of the album touches on a lot of life’s anxieties as we move through trauma, « Still Breathing » realizes the power in forging ahead after a challenging time. Paired with punk-rock guitars and a soaring chorus, POESY procroclaims: “cause you’re nothing, and I’m still breathing.”

POESY is the solo project of classically trained singer, songwriter and pianist, Sarah Botelho. She was discovered after she appeared on the first season of hit Canadian music competition show, THE LAUNCH. Her incredible breakout performance propelled POESY to new heights yet unseen, landing her a major label deal with Big Machine Records and an opportunity to collaborate with esteemed composer and producer Stephan Moccio (Celine Dione, Avril Lavigne) on her debut single ‘Soldier of Love’ . This release charted in the Billboard Top 40 and was followed by a four-track long EP entitled Glass Box Confessional. Her singles “Body Language” and “Strange Little Girl” debuted in the Top 20 at Rock Radio. Classically trained in both singing and piano from the tender age of 4, the musical world has become POESY’s playground, having had vast experience in musical theatre, numerous rock bands and even operatic singing.
