Brooke is an Irish Alt Pop artist who has been making waves for her ferocious vocal delivery and dance worthy anthems. Après un premier EP (2015) et un album sorti en 2016, ALBA vient de terminer l’enregistrement de son nouvel album Les Mots, dont on peut déjà écouter quatre extraits : Range-Toi, Préface, Mirador et le titre phare de l’album, Les Mots.

Artiste-peintre, auteure, compositrice et interprète franco-mexicaine, ALBA a de multiples activités. Elle est en charge de la musique de l’émission Game of Roles diffusée sur Twitch.

Elle vient également de signer chez Dupuis pour la production d’un webtoon musical – ACA – qui sera diffusé sur WebtoonFactory en 2022. Elle y apparaît comme co-scénariste, compositrice et en charge du sound design. En parallèle de l’univers d’ACA, la communauté soutient le projet sur la plateforme Patreon.

Elle publie également régulièrement des covers pour « Le jour de la reprise » sur sa chaîne YouTube. De formation artistique, elle a commencé par la sculpture sur métal et la peinture et expose chaque année. ALBA est aussi une artiste NFT.

L’album Les Mots prévu pour le 04 février 2022 est la première production du label Sound and Vision Music.

Chanteuse et auteur, AUD REY écrit ses premiers textes à l’âge de douze ans. Après avoir goûté au mannequinat, entrepris des études de droit et suivi les traces de sa famille dans le milieu diamantaire, la chanteuse belge se dédie complètement à la musique en 2018 avec un premier single Tu ne m’auras pas et avec un nouvel EP prévu en février 2022.

“Ready to Love You” was written about needing to backtrack on a relationship.

Echoing vocals, oscillating synths and a groove-laden bass provide the foundations for this shimmering, catchy tune, while Mikalyn’s soulful vocal tone oozes with an honesty.

Mikalyn’s ascent in the music business has been, in some respects, an atypical journey thus far. She gained an initial unconventional foothold when a Brazilian record label discovered her original, piano-driven music on Soundcloud and offered to transform them into EDM hits. What followed were monster collaborations with the likes of Zuffo, Diskover, Ownboss, and Evokings. These collaborations, although not the direction she expected to take at the beginning of her career, were crucial stepping stones in building her repertoire and fanbase, ultimately introducing new listeners to her original alt-pop stylings. The Canadian songwriter pens relatable songs which touch on relationships, love (or lack thereof) and everyday experiences and emotions. Inspired by the likes of BETWEEN FRIENDS, Tears for Fears, Billie Eilish and Marina, Mikalyn’s sound is a vibrant and colourful blend of infectious pop melodies, soaring vocals and polished production.

Her latest release “Ready to Love You” was written about needing to backtrack on a relationship. It’s about realizing that you’re in too deep and explaining to your partner that you’re not ready to fall in love yet. Mikalyn confides, “The idea of love is scary and overwhelming sometimes and this song is about trying to avoid it where possible.” Produced and co-written with Murray Daigle, “Ready to Love You” is built upon an 80s inspired beat. Echoing vocals, oscillating synths and a groove-laden bass provide the foundations for this shimmering, catchy tune, while Mikalyn’s soulful vocal tone oozes with an honesty, as she sings, “I’m all doubts, you’re holding out, but I don’t feel it, I’m okay, but you’re in pain, ya I think you need this.”

With millions of streams for her music to date, Mikalyn has had her songs placed on numerous Spotify editorial playlists, including Canada’s New Music Friday, Indie Pop, Fresh Finds and EQUAL. She has also received airplay on CBC radio, as well as reaching the finals in their searchlight competition multiple years in a row. is a collection of musical snapshots and stories of Pruett’s mind and life as he navigated through the underworld of Los Angeles. Exploring emotional and physical handicaps, as well as the challenges of love and human relationships, the album is a poignant and thought-provoking release.

Born and raised in Chicago and transplanted to Los Angeles in 2014, The Guidance’s musical project was created in 2015 as a means of healing from the loss of his brother, a mechanism to cope with his own congenital heart disease and the looming presence of soon approaching transition from this planet. The Guidance, A.K.A Stefan Pruett had only waves to create, making a mark with his impactful artistic nature, while simultaneously reminding us how precious life truly is.

The Guidance had a deep talent and passion for music seeing his work bring a wide range of electronic genres and decades into a mashup of raw analogue synths, playful storytelling and rich melodic dance music. Having signed an album deal with Las Vegas indie record company Handwritten Records in 2020, Pruett and his producer Jeremy Dawson worked tirelessly on the creation of the new album

This Is Now.

Tragically, just a few months after completion of the album, Pruett suddenly passed away. As a means to honor his life and all the work spent on the creation of this stunning album, together Dawson, Pruett’s family and Handwritten Records decided to continue with the release.

This Is Now

, is the first and last album from The Guidance.

The ten-track release is a collection of musical snapshots and stories of Pruett’s mind and life as he navigated through the underworld of Los Angeles. Exploring emotional and physical handicaps, as well as the challenges of love and human relationships, the album is a poignant and thought-provoking release. A true insight into the mind of the artist, Pruett looks at the ever-changing political climate and the pressure of global events in some of the darker shades; such as “Broken Man” and “Silent Witness Guardian Angel.”

“Building A Desert” refers to Los Angeles before it was occupied/colonized by its present overabundance of extreme indulgence and plasticity. Pruett wrote the song to himself when he arrived in Los Angeles from his hometown of Phoenix. The song reflects the frustration of finding out Los Angeles isn’t really the oasis in the desert that it seems to be from a distance.

“I Didn’t Mean That” was one of Pruett’s favorite songs he had ever written. With an affecting intro featuring haunting lyrics such as “God is coming to me,” the song touches on a narrative of regret and fear. Pruett explained the song as, “a perpetual apology that I owe anyone in my life that I wronged. This includes my brother, and more of the most important people in my life.”

In just his short time on earth, The Guidance has made a considerable impression on those who had the privilege to meet him. Having toured internationally with Crystal Castles and with streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands, his music touched the hearts of listeners across the globe and continues to do so.

Depuis 2013, les quatre frères du groupe HOPEN – Antoine, Camille, Armand et Charles – composent et transmettent leur musique pop, universelle, et porteuse de messages résolument positifs.

En jouant sur la contraction des mots HOPE (« espoir ») et OPEN (« ouverture »), le choix du nom du groupe est une promesse tenue. Depuis sa création en 2013, le groupe composé de quatre frères, distille sa pop et ses messages résolument positifs auprès d’un public toujours plus large…

UNE HISTOIRE DE FAMILLE

Antoine, Camille, Armand et Charles sont les aînés d’une famille de sept enfants. Si l’essentiel se forge dans l’enfance, pas besoin alors de s’étonner que ces garçons-là soient tous auteurs, compositeurs et multi- instrumentistes. Dans la famille Auclair, la musique a toujours été omniprésente : un grand-père chef de chœur, un père batteur et une ribambelle d’instruments qui squattent au domicile. Une fois les devoirs du conservatoire expédiés, les quatre frangins passent leur temps libre à jouer ensemble dans le garage, et enchaînent les concerts à l’occasion de fêtes d’école, de rassemblements, de tremplins… Le tout avec un éclectisme assumé qui les emmène de Toto à Bob Marley, de Goldman à Coldplay, du gospel à Phil Collins.

LA MUSIQUE AU SERVICE DE LA FOI

Les frères Auclair, grandissent dans une famille où la foi est présente. Ils découvrent très tôt des groupes phares de pop louange comme Hillsong, Elevation Worship, Exo ou Glorious … Cette même foi qui les anime les poussent à mettre leur talent au service de l’Eglise. Les frangins mettent alors de côté leurs études ou métiers respectifs, et créent leur propre groupe qu’ils baptisent Hopen. L’aventure débute en 2013. Antoine, Camille, Armand et Charles rencontrent rapidement le succès au cœur de la communauté chrétienne, notamment auprès de la jeune génération. S’ensuivent 4 albums autoproduits écoulés à plus de 40 000 exemplaires (Hopen en 2014, Merci en 2016, Nous avons chanté Noël en 2017, Que le monde sache en 2018). Mais aussi de nombreux concerts en France comme à l’étranger, d’églises en cathédrales, de JMJ en salles de concert… Au total, plus de 350 dates en 7 ans, pendant lesquelles ils auront croisé la route de plus de 130.000 spectateurs, dont le Pape François qui les a d’ailleurs lui-même reçu au Vatican pour les encourager. Après Rennes, Avignon et Lyon, le groupe pose ses valises à Boulogne-Billancourt, au service de leur Eglise locale.

UN NOUVEL ALBUM RESOLUMENT OPTIMISTE ET FEDERATEUR

Les quatre frères sont déterminés, volontaires, disponibles, constamment dans l’échange et le désir d’affiner leur art. Ils écrivent et composent comme ils respirent.

C’est cette passion jamais assouvie qui les pousse lentement vers la variété française : Hopen déplace son curseur sans renier ses valeurs, avide d’un autre terrain de jeu. Ainsi, nait leur 5ème album « Frères ».

Le 3 Décembre Hopen dévoile leur dernier single « Unis comme des frères», un véritable appel au rassemblement et au vivre ensemble. Sur leur disque réalisé par Jean-Etienne Maillard (Bigflo et Oli, Bon Entendeur, Zaz…), on notera de jolies collaborations : avec « Ami ou as-tu mis », le tandem Ben Mazué/Renaud Rebillaud pointe du doigt une misère draguée par la haine et la violence tandis qu’Antoine Graugnard glisse ici et là sa plume aiguisée de soutien sur quelques titres. Guitares en avant pour un « Comme-ci, comme-ça » à double lecture, percée groovy et chaloupée pour « Si la vie », élasticité mélodique pour un « Pourquoi pas » qui met à distance les choses superficielles. Variations d’angle autour de la paternité (Devenu papa, Vole), questionnement écologique (Le crayon du vieux) ou encore célébration du lien (Unis comme des frères, Frérots)

In the music video for this catchy, acoustic-guitar-based love song, reminiscent of the Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah”, our hero is depicted as an “everyday Joe”. A Lyft-driver to be exact, who is taken with his beautiful fare from a chic Hollywood hotel. Star2, as fate would have it, unknowingly meets this very girl online. Later in the song, as he has fantasies and hallucinations about her throughout his week, he discovers the girl he has been texting is the girl from the hotel! « When you see a hella hot girl, you get a little obsessed…the butterflies and that rush! Dudes can definitely be romantic! »

Star2 is an Asian-American singer, songwriter and rapper who seamlessly blends pop, R&B and hip-hop for an enthralling immersion of sound. Raised in inauspicious circumstances, Star2 takes influence from overcoming his life struggles, creating music that is bold, high-spirited and soulful.

Star2 is a true survivor. Born into a refugee camp in Thailand, his family walked over 500 miles through the jungle to escape Burmese soldiers when they attacked and burned down their village. As Karen’s (Kuh-ren), a minority group that the Myanmar government has tried to destroy, Star2 (and his family) has faced immense adversity and racial opposition for generations. With no father or mother by his side, his grandmother was chosen in a lottery to be able to migrate to the United States and at the age of six years old, took him to San Diego where he began his new life. Unfortunately it wasn’t an easy one, as a young kid living in the inner city, his family struggled financially and he lived with an uncle who was addicted to drugs. Adapting to living in a new world filled with cars, electricity and paved roads, he was overwhelmed and overstimulated. Star2 found solace, however, turning to music as a teen, learning to rap, sing, write and perform. With a diverse set of influences including Justin Bieber, Tyga, Chris Brown, and more, he developed his own musical style complete with winning hooks, rich harmonies, and distinctly progressive R&B soundscapes.

Since 2020, the prolific songwriter has released a series of singles and has captivated audiences with his genre-bending music that rings true and respected. His last unveiling is a collaboration with the credited rapper Luh Kel. Titled “I Wanna Get F’d Up” the song is about heartbreak, abandonment, and disillusionment. Star2 paints the scene of painful relationship dynamics that is highly relatable. “I Wanna Get F’d Up” is a raw and authentic narrative of lost love. « I wanted to write a song with the backstory of the best relationship of your life that blows up out of nowhere leaving you wondering what happened- leaving you in pain and wanting to self-medicate. It was a dream come true to do a song with Luh Kel, my dude. Our song is the diary of a toxic relationship with a toxic shawty you loved heart and soul who cheated. Even though it’s hard because you really love that one person – there is at least one time for everyone when after a breakup you just want to be gone – gone from the universe. » The single is an emotional exorcism complete with an infectious French horn melody, somber lyrics, and soul-infused vocals over a prominent hip hop beat. His talent is undeniable.

« Real Life » is Star2’s hit with Jacksonville, Florida’s Lil Poppa. A child of a refugee camp, Star2 and Lil Poppa bond through their experiences growing up in inner city poverty – Lil Poppa in Florida and Star2 in San Diego, California, they both sing “I live in a place where you hear sirens all the time” throughout the song. The urban rhythmic elements of the song are presented in an overlay of classical piano and a rush of strings that bring sorrow, angst, and despair. The haunting ballad is accomplished by an A-flat major chord progression with a B-major melody across it along with rich layers from drums, bass, and a trap drum beat. The despair is highlighted by distorted 808’s and trap drums – creating the feeling of desperation and deprivation along the backdrop of violence in the refugee camp as well as the urban hood. Star2’s lyrics tell us “I grew up in the jungle” and “if it weren’t for the music, I wouldn’t be here today.” He also remembers that to help support his grandma, who brought him from the refugee camp, “gotta hustle on the block…I was just too young, I was just a kid.”

In his latest single, « December, » the song is a romantic song about new love – how uncertain it is, and what it’s like to miss that special someone when they’re away from you. The song has a reggae-like feel to it. “I’m a big Bob Marley fan” says Star2. The musical arrangement is sparse, yet very effective at providing the emotional landscape for the song. Drums, bass, a steel drum/music box sounding synth, piano and strings round it out. “We wanted something almost like a reggae lullaby. The main melody would be something like what you’d hear coming from a music box on your dresser – except with steel drums, and accompanied by an orchestra!” Star2’s voice retains its trademark urban heart over the pulse of the reggae-flavored beat. His voice pleads and pleas – his yearning for his girl is palpable and very familiar to anyone in love.
